Suggestion: since scarlet and violet are fairly new (thus hacked pokemon are less likely to happen), perhaps doing a surprise trade team battle would work for your format. Surprise trade a team. Fully evolve those pokémon that can be evolved. Teach/Adjust moves at will. Retrade duplicates.

I keep suggesting this - Monty Hall problem. QuickGG sees the three starters. Chill'n chooses "left," "right," or "middle." QuickGG then reveals one of the two that were NOT picked. Chill'n then gets the option to switch to the last one (so in this case, let's say Chill'n chooses "left." QuickGG then reveals which Pokemon is in "middle." Chill'n can now choose to either keep left or switch to "right).
meh.. if somebody only gets baby pokemon it wont have any effect basically, but if somebody has at least 2 decent mons the odds are pretty high to get one.. and for me personally not really fun to watch a 200 base stat baby mon versus a 600+ legend.. the idea is not bad if they fully evolving the mons tho
Pick teams based on dominant features. Ex. Colors or attributes like Hands for hariyama, white for reshiram or claws for like weavile or toxicroak Or even common nicknames or something like Shifty for the shiftry @ 9:36

Example being GG would choose box 4 row 3 spot 2 (like battleship eggs or something) and both people take the egg in the spot of their box and repeat swapping between the two people until six eggs have been selected.

Sacred Sword was the best option to finish Rhyperior, as Sacred Sword ignores all stat changes to the targets' defense and evasiveness stats.
