Watching Westbrook get exposed this season makes me so happy for so many reasons. I've never liked him and I never will. He's cocky, entitled, selfish, lazy, rude, and a poor sport. LeBron and the Lakers are so obsessed with making a superteam that they forgot something: winning teams need chemistry and role players who are willing to sacrifice their egos and work HARD for wins. It's so nice to see everyone wake up to what an imposter Westbrook is. Furthermore it's great to see franchises that focus on gobbling up and hoarding the league's talent instead of actually developing a work ethic fall on their faces.
It was never about making a “superteam.” Lebron is almost 40 and AD keeps getting injured. They needed to take the load off of them and look to the future beyond Lebron because AD was never going to be it. Since Dame didn’t accept their offer, the next available person was unfortunately Westbrook.

If this dude focused on the mid range game he'd be stupid. The greats did it. Can't jump and over speed like they used to but we're still fast enough in deception an the ability to know when to leave a defender jumping flat footed
If yall actually watch Lakers games instead of just hearing what other people think of Russ or just looking at the box score, then yall would realize the Lakers' problem is just not about Westbrook. Their defense is the biggest problem. They don't have a good defensive bigman and nobody is even trying on defense. LeBron playing the Center works offensively, but defensively he just won't exert the same amount of energy and he usually doesn't box his man out. Westbrook isn't even trying on defense and he ballwatches way too often. Melo is just a terrible defender regardless of the effort he put into defense. Monk is undersized and is often not strong enough to play good defense. Dwight is just simply too old and he's not athletic enough to compete with other bigmen.
