Great reaction! This is probably my favorite from the series. Peter Barber has done reactions to these on his channel. He also gives some behind the scenes insights into some of what they did for each one.
I thought I'd missed your reaction to this and then I realised you're playing catch up. The Bass Gang have been lavishing us with ear candy this past two months - loving it! Stratospheric high to finish is right! And thank you for the gentle reminder to subscribe, this sleep-deprived mumma thought I'd done that for sure.
I had such a lot of fun watching this when it first came out.
I had never heard this song until this version. Bobby is my favorite of the Bass Gang, so I really enjoyed this. Love the 40s swing vibe. Planning ahead a little - you will definitely need your fan for Jolly Sailor Bold. Amazing.
I am glad you were not disappointed, they all have impressive range and Bobby's was certainly on display in this one.
Until you get your second fan sorted, you can just hold that one upside down. :P

This was just perfect. It paid homage to the original (and Robin Williams was just phenomenal) but was different enough that it wasn't a second-rate knock-off of the original. Bobby was phenomenal (as was the entire Bass Gang). If you have time, you might want to watch Peter's analysis of this. He gives a lot of background information and makes the video that much more enjoyable to watch.
Wait till you get to their cover of Jolly Sailor Bold. Bass+++++++++++.

All 4 numbers of this Disney extravaganza is incredible, but this one, "Friend Like Me", is the one I've replayed the most. Bobby belongs on the Broadway stage! I was waiting impatiently for you, DJ, to get to that last note. Amazing, huh? The Bass Gang has more that sealed their position in the a cappella universe!

I'm right there with you on the Aladdin nostalgia. Aladdin was/is my favorite Disney movie. I used to watch it every day when I got home from school. I definitely feel like Bobby did this justice.
And when you were talking about them singing high, I was looking forward to your reaction to the note Bobby hit at the end.
And I do believe there might be a Christmas song coming...
