- Wow, Interstate Park WI is a must see state park, especially in fall. The colors are amazing and a series of scenic and short trails by the river make is a terrific hiking destination for great scenery or to link shorter hikes into a longer one. The town of Taylor Falls which is walking distance is quaint and you can also take the Taylor Falls Queen paddle boat from there through
the Dalles of the St. Croix River. It's a great park, especially in fall!

What a wonderful video good job it does look like a fun place to visit in a little bit like devils lake thanks from Wisconsin
You have a nice channel.. I’ll definitely check out some of you videos,
Thank you for watching!
Great video, Jim. It has been a while since visiting this park. I remember the hikes and surprises around each bend. We became fast friends with the manager at the time, He moved to the Kettle Morraine where our children grew up together.
I had no idea how nice it was there. Would definitely go back.
@@oldcootcamper For sure. Its a great park. it is also Wisconsin's oldest state park.
Good evening. When you were towing with your highlander what model was it and it’s towing capacity? Thank you and Happy new year 🎉
The model was a 2018 that I purchased at the end of the year. It had a factory installed hitch and the tow package - which essentially gives you a heavier duty transmission case as I understand it. Towing capacity was 5,000 lbs with a maximum hitch weight of 500 lbs. I don't think you want to max out your towing capacity - many people shoot for 60-70%, meaning a real towing capacity of about 3,000 to 3,500 lbs. But that's personal choice.
Watch the tongue weight. My 2019 Tab 400 had a hitch weight of 465lbs with one propane tank and nothing in the camper. Needed a WDH which maxed out the hitch capacity. But for a smaller camper, or even the newer 400's where they lessened the tongue weight you should be ok. I wouldn't have wanted to use that to pull my 400 through the mountains, however. I hope this helped.
Which hiking trail would you recommend for small children? Thanks
Sorry I didn't respond earlier. I was on an extended trip out west and stayed off grid for the most part. Anyway, it's a bit hard to answer because I'm not sure or the ages. However, the trails with the best views are along the river, but they can also be the most challenging because there's a lot of up and down. So, probably great for children around 10 and older, but maybe not so good for younger children. On the Wisconsin side, the trails on the south side are flatter and easier, and that might be a good choice.
