A few years ago, I lived close to Interstate Park on the Minnesota side. The park is beautiful and unique and a little scary with all the cliffs. Enjoyed hiking the trails.
Baker Cheese is actually the inventor of string cheese! They are located between Fond du Lac and Plymouth and have a fantastic cheese store. You can pick up string cheese there that's only about 8 to 12 hours old! They also make Organic Valley stringles, which my hubby used to haul on a regular basis.
I thoroughly enjoyed this entire video & it looks as if you & your family had lots of fun together at this place!! Looks absolutely wonderful!! Nice that everyone got outside & got the exercise hiking! Lots of beautiful places there too. Loved your grocery haul with the yummy snacks & other foods...you always have such great ideas for meals & you also anticipate what others may be hungry for. So I think you do a great job with everything! Anyway, happy fall & have a great weekend!

Of course you have the children who sometimes add challenges, we have a Joe named Brian, he has matured but still has a few stubborn issues 😉. Interstate park is Beautiful. It looks very similar to letchworth state park here where we live. My husband and I just took a drive through the park and its Beautiful especially this time of year. Happy to hear y'all had an amazing time.

Hi! WOW you guys went to St. Croix Falls and Amery!! I drive right through St. Croix Falls all the time to get to my Dad's who lives right in that area. The surrounding areas by Amery is where a majority of my childhood has been and still in my adulthood. My family takes hikes alot in Interstate Park, we have alot of family photos there! Did you guys drive by or see Fonderosa right in St. Croix Fall its right by Wal-Mart... It is a petting zoo where you can hand feed animals🙂 I will have to recommend the cabin you stayed in to my family. Sending love❤

I love that you used a real map, reminded me of my dad when we went on road trips when I was younger. We always went to state parks and different outdoor things. Ottawa national forest is super pretty and one of my favorite memories. Joe is so real lol it's awesome. So pretty there! We just got back from a getaway, too. I was also unsure about our rental, I did a VRBO in Marblehead MA, 3 miles from Salem, 5 hours from our home in northern NJ. It was a 1920s Victorian and wound up being an attached duplex with a walkway shared by 4 homes - common for there seemingly, but weird for us... We did wind up liking it... It was a block from a cute downtown that we could walk to and maybe a half mile from the ocean which was pretty. Viewed all the witchy sites, saw a reenactment of the witch trials, saw the House of Seven Gables and where Hawthorne was born, church from the 1600s, etc. My two tween girls enjoyed it, and so did my husband and I. Lots of walking and exploring. I wish we could share pics on here, because I enjoyed seeing Wisconsin through your eyes. So sweet of your older son to watch out for Joe and also strap his nephew on his back and walk with him. ♥️
We have only ever been to the Dells in Wisconsin. We may need to get up that way next Summer and see the more natural side. Thanks for sharing your vacation with us, looks like everyone had a great time!

I learned to love maps from my grandpa. I remember him with his US atlas planning he and grandma's trips to Arizona.
