There's actually a lot of really good information in this video. Great job
WE COMING BACK!
Way to Go, man! I'm amazed at how much wisdom you have with BMW's and how you can get in an out without having to remove part of the engine. You've inspired me to not give up. Thank you! Beautiful Z4, btw...
Hey brodie I just wanted to say thank you for helping me figure out what was the issue with my 03 330i, running great again!!
Excellent job & video young man, very well done!! Thank you
Pack a bowl foo 🤣
Thanks for the knowledge brotha
Lol no problem
I’m chasing a ccv issue right now and this helped like a mf. Thank you!
One thing I will say tho,
5:53 important tip:
DO NOT move the butterfly valve when cleaning the Throttle Body. Simply spray it and wipe it down from both sides.
It’ll mess up the throttle position sensor on the side of the TB (that black lump on the side). If you open it manually, either the voltage won’t read correctly and it’ll throw a code, or weaken the gears on the inside, which will also, in turn, throw a code.
I literally just had to replace mine because of this. It isn’t a guarantee that it’ll happen, but it genuinely can.
Nice video lads. That very helpfully. But use some bowl for clilling the parts 😆
Cheers
God bless
👊
Great video👍
Thank you so! Much appreciated 🙏
Great job
the atf fluid is used in e46 and probably other bmw power steering systems
Nice video 🙌
Hi
My 525i 1992 e34 have smok came out tail pipe can you tell me how to fix this problem and park for 4 years
Add a oil catch can and problem fixed for all times :)
Clean Vedio !
My English is not very good. What were the obd error codes you were getting when the pcv valve was faulty
good smoked blue?
At 6:05 you never open the throttle by hand. There are plastic gears in the box that can break if you force it open.
its not going to break bro unless your are being an idiot
What happened at the end with the fuel bank sensor and the mis fire 🤔 my m54b30 has the same problem and cuts out under load and cuts off when warm..
I would appreciate any help you can provide
All those codes popped up when I forgot to connect the throttle body sensor.
Dang dawg an all nighter……. Get down 👍🏾
Did you fix it ?
Nice video, was it burnning oil though and did it stops ?
Thanks
Yes it was yes it did stop the problem also stopped the smoking
@Platinum Mind
If only it can stop YOUR smoking. 😅
Bro i have something similar to that if i remove engine oil cap i see white smoke
And the car is misfiring trembling + i saw a huuuge loss of power
When doing repair take the negative off the battery other wise all the sensors u disconnect yu will need to clear with a scanner
This was equally helpful and stressful, does anyone know what to remove to get easier access?
Other way is to remove the whole intake manifold and do it outside of the car but that takes way longer and you risk not doing it correctly since its alot of bolts ant parts but thats the only other way
Does it works for 2.0 L 4 cylindres n42 E46 too ?
Thanks man
yes but in your case its from leaking valve seals, because n42 is know for that. Even I have the same issue.
So I'm getting the blue smoke only on acceleration off like first gear.. I recently had the entire intake manifold off along with everything you got into pretty much did the same thing cleaned everything I was doing my cooling system so I didn't replace my CCB but now when taking off I just get one puff of smoke then it goes away for the most part. Think I'm headed down the same road? Should I think about replacing like you did?
Yes
Its good to replace it if it hasn’t been changed before
@@platinummind7988 thanks
Bonus footage after mathhhh lmaooo guess u wasn't the wizard after all w all them codes lmao
I had a similar problem with e39 528 with the same engine , a lot of white smoke but not on startup it would happen occasionally while driving but a lot of white blue smoke that smelled like fuel, also had occasional severe power loss where my foot would b in the floor and Rpms don’t move
did this fix it for you?? same here
What was it
I have this issue too with my kia rio 2009 when i go up hill or i'm in the high way and accelerate to 3.5 rpm it start smoking like a bbq and it smells gas .. would the pcv valve be the cause ?
What’s up bro I got a p2098 code and I cant seem to find a problem
Was the white smoke out the exhaust consistent or did it stop after a little bit of running?
Mine stop a bit so what does that mean
@@kendallscott276 mine only did it at cold start then usually stopped. Ended up changing my CCV and it went away
I have the same smoke and oil problem pn my 318i, blueish smoke, do you think a engine replacement would fix it?
Bro you definitely don’t need an engine replacement lmaoo that’s going extreme bro I would highly recommend swapping out the ccv and the hoses like he did cause that sold my same issue bro, definitely start with the cheaper option first man and it’s a really easy fix too there’s plenty of videos on it hopefully everything works out man
@@supdougs4487 Thanks for sharing man, how much oil your car was burning on the 318i with the ccv broken ?
I have e46 318ci it burns 1l/1000km approx.
@@ahmadkheiro735 did you fix mine is same
Can vacuum problems do the same smoking issues?
Yes best way to tell is to smoke the intake with a smoke machine but they can be a bit pricey
Hey my BMW 1 series consumes more oil than usually and thus the car smokes..can you help
It could be your PCV, or piston rings, but I think if it were to be piston rings it probably would also have low compression or backfire maybe. If none of that is the problem I would change the PCV, and check valve cover gasket by removing ignition plug and see down the hole for oil.
the atf is for the power steering
You're right
still some blue smoke at 17:05?
Hi do you work on cars in LA. ? I literally have the same issue with my BMW.
Yes i do

@@platinummind7988 how do I contact you?
Hi.my 325i after 2-3 days rest make suck white smoke but not as muchnas yours.may be problem is same?and i have 1 litre oil consumtion for 8000 km.is it for ccv also?
Does your car burn and leak oil?
Remove the air box out of the way and look for leaks around the hose connected on the dipstick, it doesn't hurt to change your CCV it's like 100$ at AutoZone
@@irvingrivas6588 there is no oil leak anywhere.but i need around 1 litre oil to add in 7000-8000 km .i dont see white smoke every day.i see when my car stay 2-3 days.after 2-3 days i start and i see white smoke.then everything turn to normal.can it be ccv?
@@anarqasmov7122 yes it sounds like that's your problem. Ccv

Hey quick question my bmw e39 530d 2001 has a realy bad smell from the exhaust no smoke nothing just the smell can u help me
Just at in the high rpm he has som black smoke coming out
Idk is he running to rich on diesel or is som wrong
Does he need a remapping
@@haris2000king that's tuff bro I don't know about diesel sorry
If it smells like eggs it's a clogged cat
Mine is doing the exact same I have a Cadillac please help
Check your pistons or heads
It's not a heat protector but a cold protection so that the oil doesn't Glock
I have the same problem with my 2012 X5 XD 50i I need to contact you brother if possible

Suzuki Omni van
Classic friend that says I can fix your car for you then breaks all the parts saying oh wasn't my fault they was gona break
Hey dude. You should not treat a throttle body like that. A flap should be gently treated otherwise it will be out of calibration. And a idle valve needs lubrication so cleaning with WD40 is better not throttle body cleaner.
Wd 40 is a lube not cleaner, btw it was MAF cleaner... And even throttle body cleaner is ok to use, also calibration only gets messed up when the sensor is still connected...
@@platinummind7988 you are partially right. WD40 in more like lub but there is also enough agent to remove build up gums. Using throttle cleaner removes all of lub in ID and that is big NO NO. And there us gear in throttle body which does not care wheater wire connected ot not.
@@jongkeunlee I've cleaned several throttle bodies, I did it with care, that's the only way to clean the rim of the throttle flap. Obviously I don't keep flapping it back and forth to not de calibrate it, also disconnected it from it's sensor to be safe.
Why are you wearing a mask in the road
i will be more happy to see you using a bucket where you clean the parts . not on the floor mate thats not nice at all
Cant go back on it now lol
Take off your mask
ccv is crank case ventilation
