lmfao some ppl on my car group told me he smoke tested his car with a vape and it brought me here, now i"m abt to try this. Guy with the red hoodie kills me everytime he puffs on that tube lmao
@@matthewwhitmus1608 No, I did not! We did buy a replacement wiring harness for those wires, just never got around to trying to figure out how to install it. It’s currently broke down and needs a new transmission. With bills and everything, trying to get monetized on UA-cam first before I try and continue to fix it.
@rattus103 I get what you’re saying, but visualize what I’m saying. the vape vapor from a quick test isn’t going to harm the MAF. It would take constant exposure over time to cause any real buildup. dirt and dust are more likely to cause issues since they’re harder for the air filter to catch.
@@donquixote3384 you would never be able to guess the amount i bought this car for. i say that because it was incredibly affordable not expensive. Less than 80k miles too.
Great little video..... Going to use this to hopefully find my vac leak (Porsche 986 bargain budget banger) Can I borrow your nicotine addict? I don't have my own! 🤣
Yes! After fixing the 2 vacuum lines, my misfire was gone & it started running better. Right now I have some other issues popping up that I was thinking about making a video about.
Yeah, it did! Once we found and fixed the vacuum leaks, the motor idled smoother and pulled stronger because there was no more unmetered air messing with the air-fuel ratio. The $15 setup made it easy to spot the leaks, and sealing them brought everything back to spec. Definitely a noticeable improvement!
Thanks for watching! With a CSL carbon airbox, blow the smoke through the intake pipe that connects to the air-box. This should help you find any leaks bc it’s virtually doing the exact same.
Good job kid! I learned a bit from this video, extremely creative and it works, can't get much better than that.
thank you so much!
This shit was so fun bro, legendary repair.

This reminds me of the very early days of haggard garage i love it 😂😂👌🏾👌🏾
For the radio, did you check all fuses in the glovebox and trunk to see if they blew after you spliced the wire? Or if the amplifier blew

Wouldn't the vape dirty up the maf?
@rattus103 nah, dirt and dust is more likely to harm the maf than the vapor. we also didn’t do it for that long
@@Barnapiss but the air filter takes care of that, the vape could create an oily layer on the maf and cause it to fail
