    I use this tool and its very very easy, you don't need, to cut it before, you roll out your dough, place it in the pie cutter, put your filling and close, no need to add egg either.

    We use that dough cutter in Spanish countries. I use it and it works but I rub oil on it before putting the dough on the cutter to avoid it sticking to the plastic. Still, it’s more time consuming than the fork. So like you, I rather use the fork. Thanks for another great recipe

    Uh-uhhhhh! Just saw an error in the ingredients list. For the filling, please it's 350g of minced chicken NOT margarine. What was I thinking?!?! lol :D :D

    No you don’t use the down to cut it like plate. All you will do it after using rolling pin to roll it out. Then take the roll out dough and place it on the white pie cutter. Add the fillings and close it. Is so fast it closes so well and fast and it will cut out some dough at the edges giving it the perfect design on the cutter. ❤

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  8 років тому +5

      Don't mind us and our naming conventions. Both beef and chicken are meat but how we ended up naming one meat pie and the other chicken pie beats me. LOL
      In Nigeria when you are told to go and buy meat, by default you know that means beef. If the person needs chicken, he/she will tell you chicken. :D

    Hello Flo, hope all is well. I really love all your videos. You make it so simple with your detailed information. Please can you tell me if it is better to use a food processor to mince the chicken and if the best cut of chicken to use is the thigh part? Thanks

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  8 років тому +1

      Mincing it is better. In some places you can buy minced chicken from supermarkets or meat markets instead of mincing it yourself.

      No, this dough is not good for frying.
      To fry it, mix the dough using the recipe for the Fish Roll dough >> ua-cam.com/video/qfn1ES5gprw/v-deo.html
      Then fill it with the chicken filling I prepared in this video then fry.

    This is the most important comment for you Madam. The Dough cutter is the easiest and best way if you know how to use it. Make sure the dough is place on top of the cutter, put the feeling in and close to cut to shape and seal. You are not doing it the right way that is why you have a challenge with the sealing. Thanks

      Okay, I just saw ur concern. When u flatten the dough with your rolling pin, u don't need to cut into a circle, just place it directly and make sure the dough exceeds the circle part. Then close tightly and then use your hand to remove the excess when it is closed. Lol. Abukwam expert In using that tin ooo🥰🥰🥰🥰😆😆😆

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  5 років тому

      You are using the wrong type of flour, probably gluten free flour. You should use all purpose flour then follow the rest of the recipe to the letter.

    • @mrsedo4273
      @mrsedo4273 5 років тому

      @@FloChinyere Am using all purpose flour. I normally use 500g of flour to 225g of margarine, can that be the cause? I use granulated sugar also like 2 tablespoon, so trying to figure out the reason, thanks for ur prompt reply

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  5 років тому

      @@mrsedo4273 you are using the right proportion of flour to margarine. Try adding more liquid to the dough to get it more malleable. And after the first mix, cover for 15 minutes then knead again before rolling out.
      PS: not that this is causing the breakage issues, but why would you add sugar to meat pie dough? We are looking for ways to reduce sugar in our diets and you are adding sugar to a snack that should not even be sweet? Meat pie should be savoury not sweet.

    • @mrsedo4273
      @mrsedo4273 5 років тому +1

      @@FloChinyere Thanks dear, just that I saw some recipe where people use sugar so I was thinking, whether that could be the cause. Is not like it even taste out . I also use use 2eggs for the dough mixing. I will do exactly like u said, I appreciate ur responses

    • @FloChinyere
      @FloChinyere  5 років тому

      @@mrsedo4273 you are welcome. I can assure you that it is not the sugar that causes the breakage. We add more sugar than you stated to Chin Chin dough yet it does not break up when rolled out.
      Watch the following videos, they may help you further find out what is causing your dough to break up.

About the dough cutter, I find it easier when I roll out the dough, I normally place the entire rolled out dough on the cutter, scoop in the pie filling, flap the cutter closed and then cut the excess dough...works perfect. Just give it a try and thank me later😊🙈. God bless

    Nice recipe ma'm but for using the cutter what u should try is roll out the dough in a bit larger circle shape, just place on the cutter, fill in, rub ur egg n press down the cutter firmly (no pampering else it won't cut out), it should cut the excess itself n save you the stress of using pot cover n knife, thanks. #Thumbsup
