- July 18, 2021 marked the 40th anniversary of thrash metal pioneers ANTHRAX. The celebration began in May of last year and culminated on July 16/17 with a global Livestream event shot at the Los Angeles soundstage/studio The Den.
For two-plus hours, Anthrax performed an extensive set of hits and deep cuts pulled from their vast catalog. Today, Anthrax announces that the entire performance, plus never-before-seen rehearsal footage and Scott Ian’s New York City “walking tour,” pointing out the spots that played a role in Anthrax’s formation and history, will be released in North America on July 15 on Blu-Ray and Digital (Megaforce).
“Anthrax XL" will also have a European Digital release on July 15 (Nuclear Blast), followed by a Blu-Ray release later this year.

Still got it lads! I had the best youth going from sabbath, zeppelin and Motorhead to W A.S.P, maiden, Priest and the Crue to wearing out my blank cassette version of Kill Em All and then finally in NZ we could get all the Big 4 on tape.
Thank you Anthrax for being the soundtrack to many a mad moment. Managed to see yas twice in my middle aged years in Aussie and both times I have been blown away comparible only to the Alice Cooper effect.

Saw the classic line up in Sheffield 2006 on the Reunion Tour. Couldn't get over just how bloody good Dan Spitz is, he is an excellent guitarist. Anthrax were amazing and the Corporation was tiny so it was intimate and pure class.
