Gosh a Coast skirt for a quid! Well done Jane 👏👏👏👏
Archie is a great supervisor ❤️❤❤❤❤❤❤
Someone will be blessed with that coat. Lovely
I like how you say 'You can't really go wrong with that, can you?'😅
Ha! well, you can't 😅
Great scores. Love the colour of the dresser.
Perhaps behind the jumpers you could keep nice boxes where you pop in things like belts bags etc. that way the space is used. Thanks for the video, you’re so very lovely xx
That's a great idea! Thanks
With the shelf of sweaters, I'd be tempted to buy a couple of cheap containers so that you can pull a container down, select the one you want - or return one - and then you aren't likely to get an avalanche of sweaters when you pull one out
Yes I thought about that, but I need to see what’s there. Maybe clear boxes might work. But mainly not just keeping endless stuff I don’t wear 😂
Or a moth infestation.
Hi Jane. It was Mick Aston the guy from time team. He sadly died in 2013.
Love the poncho
Thank you for the Magic Sponge tip! I never thought of that for cleaning shoes.
They are amazing!
@@ShoestringJanewhere can i buy them from?
Glad the turquoise and black crotcheted shawl cleaned up. The color looks great on you and with what you're wearing.
Thanks!
You are an inspiration and I too like your calm energy in these videos.
Thank you!
Love the dresser painted pink!!! Fabulous!!❤
Thanks! I love it too, but Justin’s not convinced 😂
You can often 'relax' a shrunken woolie by soaking it in a bowl of lukewarm water with quite a lot of fabric conditioner mixed in. You can gently ease it into shape and with a bit of luck it will be closer to the original size.
I haven’t tried that - thanks!
Doctor, doctor. I keep thinking I'm a supermarket.
Doctor: How long have you felt like this?
Me: Since I was Lidl.
Lol 😂
Hi Jane I have a dresser like yours .I painted mine off white colour but I decoupage cup pictures all over it it came out nice ethe things you brought was lovely for only a pound the coat esp x
Sounds amazing. I have never attempted decoupage!
Magic sponges are excellent but beware! They do remove the top layer of the surface you are cleaning. They are ace for preping for decorating though
I found your channel again, I had seen a few videos but forgot to subscribe then couldn't remember your channel name. Now off to go catch up on what all I have missed.
Oh thank you, and welcome back!
Those shoes would look adorable on you !Have a blessed week
Thanks - you too
Great finds for a dollar!
Thanks!
The pink dresser will brighten that end of the room up for the summer.
Don't overdo the cleaning jobs, won't do your health any good in the long run.
No, definitely not doing too many. Especially when it's so hot!
Hi Jane, was watching one of your videos yesterday and you mentioned fibromyalgia, sorry to hear you have that, my OH has chronic fatigue syndrome and has found D ribose 5g three times a day has made a significant difference to the variability of it, it’s not cheap off Amazon but just wanted to pass it on (recommended by Sarah Myhill). Thanks for all your helpful cheerful videos 🤗
Lol, this is so me. How many dog walking tops do you need?
Exactly. Not as many as I had!
Hi Jane, I love that next size 16 coat you got I’d buy that from you as I’ve lost a load of weight and am now a size 16 but am on a limited budget, I bought your book to get ideas for living cheaper as I struggle since my husband died and I can’t work anymore due to poor health. Heather
Hi Heather, Message me on Instagram. @shoestringcottage 😊
I didn’t know your on instagram,
Ur amazing
That was great Jane, super bargains for a £1. I have been decluttering today there must be something in the air, as I make my clothes I sometimes find it hard becuase I am looking at the time that's gone into things. However if they are not worn and taking up space, so I have had to be a bit ruthless with myself. I love the pink on the dresser it is going to look brilliant and the green will look lovely either side. Have a good week. x
Oh yes, I get that getting rid of things you spent time making would be harder!
Lovely Jane..the clothes for 1 pound are an absolute steal...
Weren’t they good? I was really pleased
@@ShoestringJane I took a leaf out of your book, buy slightly different..I pick up bits at the charity shop for 1 euro ( the bargain rail ) or a clearance sale, and resell at a higher price. Also, when friends are decluttering, I get a call to pop up and take the bits, plenty stock to sell for my next time..and always a bargain for the customer..and me..
Mick Aston , the archaeologist of the rainbow jumpers, you spoke of sadly passed away suddenly in 2013 .
Yes, I just read another comment. I didn’t realise he had passed. I so enjoyed that programme
Your recent videos inspired me to have another crack at Ebay and I listed some items which I've had on my rails for years but hadn't bothered to get rid of. Ebay seems remarkably buoyant at the moment, so I guess people are preferring it to the shops! Thankfully I am successfully selling things and making space again now. :)
It’s quiet for me. But I’m selling quite a lot on Vinted. Good luck with it
Great video Jane.Your thinking of mick aston, he died a few years ago.
Yes! That’s him. I’m sorry to hear he died. I loved that programme
I use fantastic or 409 and a rag. Those sponges are not frugal❤😊
Agitation is what destroys the wool jumpers…..it causes them to felt
I messed up there!
Hi Jane. I love watching you each week. Have to say I preferred the dresser in green. Think I might try painting my old dresser with the same paint you use. It seem to cover really well and looks great. Do you need to seal it with wax after?
Justin preferred the green too! But I love pink. As for waxing it, depends on which type you get from frenchic. The trim paint I got doesn’t need waxing but some do. There’s a great Facebook group called Frenchic fan forum that’s good for inspiration and advice. Lovely makeovers on there!
