That did look very good. The US chili is a bit darker, but thats down to the amount of artificial colouring. This is definitely on my shopping list 👍

Oh darn, I'm fresh out of meat jokes,🤣. That is s great looking main. I have the same menu, I need to get to it. The apple's are some of the best. Coffee Crisp, is a great candy bar. To bad about it being a little stale. Great editing, and excellent review. Our Canadian friends, are great guys. Take care bud!

Definitely plan on a bunch in the near future. I have plenty of cool inventory. But got a ton of life stuff happening at the moment. Hopefully I'll be back to normal within a month or so.

Dude. Maybe some of the best chili you can get. It's in my top 5 maybe top 3. But it was like it was made for my pallet.

Smokey you are spot on with Smitty, CT and B Temple, great guys all! Really nice to see a fresh IMP on your plate rather than a ration of vintage origins lol. The Canadian IMP’s are definitely some of my favourite rations, although being Canadian I might be slightly biased.

Hey Smokey, can't believe it took me this long to get around to checking this one out. Nice to see a "regular" review, and I know I've been very bad about posting the regular stuff myself (been over a year now). This looked like a great ration. Of course that's no big surprise from an IMP, but still... Nice shout out to the Big Three from north of the border. Great guys all! See you on the steams!

They are typically better than an MRE. That's for sure.
Heck yes, love seeing an upload and even better: a IMP! Brilliantly done. A shame about the Coffee Crisp. Dunno why they're ruining a good thing right out of the factory :(
I was in the infantry 88 to 93 and my favorite imp was scalloped potatoes and ham and the close second was Hungarian goulash LOL
@@elmartillo7931 Awesome! I don't have much info from 88-90, and 92-93 unfortunately. Great call on those mains, though. I've been hunting for a Hungarian Goulash but no luck (last made in 2007). For lunch today I ate a 1991 IMP Baked Orange Dessert though. Back then did you just heat these on the Coleman stoves in the pressure cookers?
@@SmittyMRE back then we ate them cold for the most part LOL once in awhile we would use Coleman stoves or those sterno tablets and a canteen cup to boil water in. and cherry cake was my favorite dessert lol. My favorite breakfast was wieners and beans, the ham omelette we called "pig lung" it was terrible LOL macaroni and cheese was good, Shepherd's pie, scalloped potatoes and ham and Hungarian goulash were all good
@@SmittyMRE and we used to play a thing called chiclet bingo. when you're done eating everybody opened up their chiclets and whoever had the highest serial number got all the chiclets LOL
@Smitty And of course "Ranger toffee". In the winter you melt sugar, instant coffee, and coffee whitener and mix it all up and then pour it in the snow LOL I wonder what the poor people are doing LOL

Great video, I managed to watch some of your show before it was taken off UK Now TV, they only have things on for so long. Great video though. I really want to try one of those coffee crisp they look so goo and nestle is my favourite chocolate.

I know videos are what people want to see. I've gotta get more filmed and edited. The editing is tough but filming can be stressful. This imp wasn't stressful but when it's a rare old ration its rough. But I plan on doing more vids asap.
The chili looked like homemade. The ingredients listed were just real ingredients unlike the US rations which are laden with chemical crap.
Agreed. It was so good. I didn't play it up either. It didn't even taste shelf stable at all. It tasted like I just got it from the pot.

We call them IMP's..... I think it's because MRE stands for Meals Rejected by the Enemy. I was really excited when they came out with the poutine IMP... boy was I disappointed! Slop!

@@METALMAN4Wii I waited 22 months to get an MRI for a lumbar injury, and had to drive 1.5 hours to a different city because the hospital in the city I live in (100K people) was too busy....... think about that. Oh I'm still waiting for an appointment to see a Neurologist, but they all retired so you get what you get

Smokey, any idea what happened with Steve1989? He hasn’t posted since around Thanksgiving. Anyway great reviews.
He is working with s MRE company to come out with his own freeze dried rations. Hr made a Thanksgiving ration he made and did a review on it on his channel. I knew right then that he had something up his sleeve. Look up ( Steve1989 working with a Company for Rations) on Google or in other terms because I forgot the name. He will be back though to do reviews.
