    I’m thankful you didn’t try to hide or edit out the fact that she tried to steal. This is real life and children that young don’t know that they can’t do that. The lesson you taught her was perfect and so is the love you show her. You are an excellent parent. Thank you for letting her express her emotions and teaching her right from wrong along with explaining the consequences of her actions. I’m sure she won’t do it again. ❤

    Miya you are an awesome mom. Teaching and guiding our little ones to do the right thing. Just a thought, sometimes let her make a purchase. Give her the money to hand to the cashier. Yes, it is very common for young children to do that, however, I’m glad you corrected this, because some parents will literally just laugh it off. 😒 You handled the situation well.
    One of my cousin’s children tried to steal a couple candy bars from the convenient store on my family’s street, and I was sooooo embarrassed. I had no idea until the man, who owns the store, told her to open her purse, when I was checking out. Thankfully, he knows my grandmother’s family, and my character, so we were able to handle the situation without getting others involved. She was like 7-9 around that time, I’m sure, so I was definitely like, “🤔 I know you know better”, however, I still had a talk with her, to let her know why she shouldn’t do that.

  • @shirleymcneece2664
    @shirleymcneece2664 Рік тому +3

    You did a great job explaining why she shouldn't take things without paying for them. My youngest daughter took some pencils out of walmart in which she had a love for pencils and I don't know why. She didn't beep when we went out door, but I noticed the pencils when we got to the car. I marched her right back in the store to return the pencils and to apologize for taking them. I handled it simular to the way did with your daughter. It is a learning experience that I hope will never happen again.

Just a little mistake that she didn’t know was wrong at the time but I love that you talked to her because although she is young many won’t always be understanding which is sad ! God bless you and it’s okay to be sad baby girl just listen to what mommy is teaching you and you will be okay in life she willl never steer you wrong in life ! I have many friends and cousins who choose to learn the hard way , but I seem to always choose to listen to my mom no matter how grown I am . Most children have tried to steal from a store ,and I felt the same way you did embarrass, mad, upset with my child, couldn't understand why she did that and where did she get from, it happen but you did the right thing by talking to her and letting her know what did was wrong and pointing out that stealing is wrong, and she not ever to take anything again if she didn't pay it,when something like that happens Mother duties kick in already and you know what to do
    So you did a good job,.....Mother🧏🏽‍♀️
    ......Period !👏🏽 👍🏾 👌🏾 😀

    You handled that very well it didn’t take for you to scream or yell at her to teach her the lesson. Which a lot of parents especially young parents don’t understand they feel like yelling gets the point across and it doesn’t for everyone. I don’t have kids, but I would have handled the situation how you did. She such a sweetheart man❤

    Kids are curious and learn right from wrong in a multitude of ways. Your parenting is always on point. Most of us have been there either as a child or parent. Carry on - Lesson learned - More to come!😊

    When I was five I stole lip gloss from the store and my mom whopped my ass in front of everyone. It's good that you spoke to her in a firm way and you still said I love you. When your young you think everything is free and that stealing isn't bad, but it is.

    Yes it’s a learning moment now some kids see other people do it and think it’s ok to do it but once a parent tell them the right thing they won’t do it again👌👌
