Thanks for watching! In this video I used the GoPro Hero 11 on a clip that attaches to the front strap of my backpack. Although it's not often centered, it's really quick/practical when on the go, commuting in London etc.
Hi Mark 😊, I'm Devakirti from Italy. what shutter speed and aperture do you usually use with the Ricoh GR III X I have problems when I shoot fast scenes, because the autofocus is a bit slow, you use some tricks; thanks, good photos. excuse for my english I use google translatore
Hi, thanks for watching. If I'm prioritising moving subjects then I use snap focus 1.5m-2m if they are near. This removes the focusing time, so it's rapid. For a wider view I use AF continuous tracking on the subject, which I agree can be a bit slow....and frustrating at times.
Thanks, it means a lot! I need to make a video of it as quite a number of people have asked now...it's a different style of video to what I'm used to, but I think I need to just do it.
Thank you, I really enjoyed that, parts of London I know well. One question ... do you generally take a single shot of everything as the video reveals or multiple shots as I do? And end up with 1000 pics to look through after one hour!
Hi, thanks for popping by. If I'm on the move I'd usually take 3-5 shots on continuous mode, so a quick squeeze. Otherwise I quite often take 1-2 if I've already set the shot up.
Thanks, yes I'm enjoying it the more I use it. For this video, and most of my others, it's a combination of the 'chesty' harness and the backpack strap clip (majority of shots because it's so quick to attach/detach while commuting).
Thanks! They are edited with Ricoh's Positive Film preset (plus a few other tweaks) in post, but I also have the camera preview in the same preset as well when shooting.
For the moving subjects / portraits I was using snap focus (usually between 1.5m - 2m). The rest are with single point, where I have a bit more time to compose.
Tough one, but for me, classic Chrome straight out of camera is hard to beat. I've spent far more time with the X-Pro 3 though, so it may not be the fairest comparison.
A good eye and a great sense of timing.
Cheers, John!
Oh, that was a lovely day for some street! You got some excellent shots and I must commend you on your impeccable timing on some of those. Well done!
Thanks!
missing these old days and thanks for ya video
Cheers! More coming ~
Excellent work, especially the underground image, it can be so crowded on the underground.
Yeah, I usually try and avoid it these days!
Awesome shots love the ones with the 🙌 gestures i am a sucker for those i really need to get a grx yes...
Thanks - only had it a couple months now but it's been really fun to use.
My type of street photography video !
Noted!
These are very nice! Keep going :)
Thanks - exploring Portugal next week!
Beautiful ❤
Thanks, Ravi!
loved watching, great shots! if you dont mind me asking what your set up is in terms of POV camera and strap?

Could you put how to configure the camera? metering and focus

Seems to work well for street 📷👍
Yes, it bothers very few people!
Lively photographs
Thanks!
Nice edits - but I think its a bit creepy, to shoot straight in peoples faces 😀 Did you edit the photos afterwards or are they straight out of camera?
Felt pretty comfy in my hometown! In this video, I edited them in Lightroom. Thanks for watching -
@@po.ntandshoot Really like your editing style!
EXCELLENT PHOTOS, COULD YOU TELL ME HOW YOU HAVE THE CAMERA SET UP OR MAKE A VIDEO OF IT? THANK YOU
Thanks, it means a lot! I need to make a video of it as quite a number of people have asked now...it's a different style of video to what I'm used to, but I think I need to just do it.
@@po.ntandshoot Yes please, since you have used the camera a lot and know where it works best, we would greatly appreciate it.

@@po.ntandshoot something most youtubers don't like to admit. You make a great video, carry on as you were.
Nice video - Love my GRIIIx. What chest camera setup do you use?

@@po.ntandshoot Nice - is it some form of GoPro?
@@davidholt8937 oops! Forgot to say, it's the GoPro Hero 11 in horizontal lock mode.
Very nice work can I ask do you shoot in JPEG SOOC or RAW edit?
Hey, I shoot RAW + JPEG (Fine), but ultimately use the RAW file to edit etc.
Nice one chap, nice one son
Cheers lad
Are these images right from the camera or were they edited? The colors are beautiful
Thanks! They are edited with Ricoh's Positive Film preset (plus a few other tweaks) in post, but I also have the camera preview in the same preset as well when shooting.
Must be edited post as usually direc from the camera are not that vivid :)
Really appreciate your style of video, I see too many desk jockeys talking rather than doing. 👍
Thanks. I often feel like I should be adding more to my videos, but I do like documenting these practice sessions.
Were you using the snap focus feature in this video
For the moving subjects / portraits I was using snap focus (usually between 1.5m - 2m). The rest are with single point, where I have a bit more time to compose.
Are JPEGs nicer SOOC on the Ricoh than a Fuji in your opinion?

At 54s......the shot was in the puddle!
Agreed, big miss!
