Hi Ali, I think your UA-cam content is soooo much better than your subscribe numbers . Thank you for your continued advice for those of us on the journey to better golf 👍🏻👍🏻
Hope you don't mind just a little criticism. It never fails to amaze me how influential Ben Hogan's golf swing precepts have influenced so many golfers and golf teachers. In Mr. Hogan's Five Lessons he says that the downswing plane is different from the backswing plane. I think it's the result of lowering his body slightly - just a couple of inches - as he is turning his hips into the swing. In my opinion what you're showing in Rahm's downswing move is exactly what Mr. Hogan talks about in Five Lessons, just worded a little differently. As you make your turn the straightening of the left leg completes the downswing (I got that from Nelly Korda!).
I've been trying this due to flexibility loss...and what I've noticed is it makes me less "flippy" and keeps me from hooking the ball. That is when I put a good swing on it. But, I hit it just as far or further than I do with a full swing.
I've tried this and it feels strange- almost chippy, but I've gotten good compression, power, and distance on good swings. I just find I have trouble timing it all up, so my consistency suffers.
I can’t wait to try this. I have been struggling for such a long time with my swing but something about this just makes sense to me!
I've been trying this. My drives haven't lost any distance and go straighter. My back feels better too.
Great info. There Ali. Thanks.

When I shorten my swing to where it feels like a 1/2 swing. More compression & distance. 7 iron consistently around 160yrds.

Are you using trackman 4?
I am, I use it to coach as well.
Why just iron play?
