Bikepacking Dzūkija: Adventure in Merkys Nature Preserve

Weekend cycling trip with a friend to explore nature around river Merkys, visit beautiful suspension bridges and towns. We started in Pamerkiai near Vilnius on Friday, on Saturday made our way towards Varėna through Valkininkai, cycled to Kaišiadorys via Onuškis and Aukštadvaris on Sunday. So little traffic on the back roads. Is that normal?

Not really. We were surprised as well. I think the main reason for this was that those shots were taken during an early morning 🙂
