Guide works very well, thank you! I only have found missing in migration Background jobs settings in crontab. Maybe such should be added to guide as well. Thank you.
@@NicholasHenkey You're very welcome. I've had Linux on my brain for nearly 25 years (Aug 2022). I try to help out along the way. Other shortcuts I'm very fond of are CTRL+D to exit an ssh session and CTRL+L to clear a terminal.
Hello Nicholas, I'm trying to migrate my NCpi from an 32bit debian to a newer 64bit raspberrypi OS. I've set up the new system to be exact the same as the current system (same NC version, same php etc.). My NC data and NC database is connected via external harddrive. Do you know if it's possible to copy all the data in /var/www/nextcloud to the new system and tell it to use the existing data and database on the external harddrive? Since you can change the path of data and database in NCpi config panel I assume you could change it to an existing one.
Hi, apologies on the late reply. I was out of town planning an interstate move That probably won't work. This video is the direct consequence of me trying exactly what you're proposing, unfortunately. I had to come up with this method which is a bit more robust but also very complicated
@@NicholasHenkey Nice to hear that I'm not the only one messing arount with this "stupid" idea. I messed up my whole system with hundreds of errors even after switching back to my current SD card. I ended up restoring it on a complete new 64bit installation :D.

@@Oberlurch-lf8jj yeah, it seems like an obvious thing to try, haha. Glad you got everything fully restored!
