Honestly, this album is underrated.
korn is one of those few bands that is able to explain the sick and evil side of the human being, but also things where some people go trough in their lives, they do it in a way so unique, they are that band that has those creative out of the ordinary ideas and they can make it happen, and their sound is simply so unheard of, the atmosphere it creates, the erie yet melodic sounds they use in songs like this really goes together with the lyrics really well, simply some of the most brilliant musicians of our time.

+hidde kooistra definitely my favourite song on this album but i also love paranoid and aroused as a close second. they make it seem like the most darkest of traits but at the same time it is ok because we are not the only ones, and if, i guess, you have enough logic and/or rationality you wont let it consume you. because sometimes these dark traits we have can bee used as a strength to every day to day life. i will always be a koRn fan

This song is a pure masterpiece! Why it wasn't released as a single I have no idea. The bridge is purely breathtaking!The different voice techniques JD uses just proves his artistry all over again and again in this one song as if he really needs to. The lyrics......absolute shivers down my spine!! His lyrics have always been dominant and very impactful in his songs but this particular piece goes way above his usual level of "in your face" lyrics.......haunting melodies, rhythmic drums, the crescendo in the middle brings you to the brink of aching madness and just when you think you can't take anymore, he releases you. My favorite song. Ever.
I swear there is still no one that compares to Jonathan's voice! I don't even know if I would be alive without Korn, I seen them in concert the most. And some people say there shit got weak or it all sounds the same. But damn, I don't fucking care of think that at all and never have. Every song I love. The bass and then the skat. I don't understand the old korn fans, they just like : If I knew 20 years ago that Korn would like this, I haven't listened to them.
I mean, their songs are different every album since 2005. But their still good, I'm listening to Korn for one and a half year and I like their old songs as Inlike their newer songs.
Those people who you are talking about are incapable of broadening their musical taste. They are one dimensional, at least with music and they don't appreciate anything else but heavy stuff. So boring... This album is awesome and underrated.

Not all "old Korn fans" feel that way, I've loved them since the first album! They're still my favorite band 20+ years later! It's been 2 decades so people should expect the sound to change & grow! And, if someone liked the early stuff - why would they let the later work change their opinion? That doesn't make sense! There have been several bands who's early stuff I liked, but then they changed their sound in ways that didn't "speak to me" anymore... (like Metallica after the black album) but I still like the earlier stuff from those bands, the new work doesn't change the old work!

So..This song describes the exact relationship,that me and my ex boyfriend had. In so many words,my ex was very abusive and sadistic in nature. My mom first heard this song when it came out,and told me I should listen to it,because it reminded her of how badly my ex treated me. And ever since I first listened to this song,I admire Johnathon Davis as a Lead Singer even more & I think Korn is such an amazing band..I connect with their music so much. I have been listening to Korn,ever since I was 12..and I turn 31 this year. So..for 19 years now,I have been a massive Korn fan. Johnathon Davis is most definetly,one of my favorite Lead singers of all time! 🤘
