I'm thinking of going during March Break (March 18-24, 2024) and it's good to see the climate of around that time in your video. I assumed there would be more snow still around that time but looks like there isn't. Thanks for sharing.
It was definitely cold, but definitely not a lot of snow on the ground! I had an incredible experience, can't recommend it enough! Let me know if you have any questions!
@@kristen_clark_ I assume that depends year to year. Like in Canada, some days in March we have lots of snow and some days don't. Sometimes we get snow even in April. Since you went when there wasn't much snow... Did you explore the Highlands? I heard it's not accessible when there's too much snow.
i’m planning to go next year but before i book i have a few questions 1. how did you meet with your group, was it at the airport, i need a few details :) ? I have horrible anxiety and need to plan ahead 2. did you spend any extra money besides the trip that was planned and everything that was included? 3. did you get all the rides and transportation provided for you group together?
Hi!!! I'm so glad that you reached out! So once you land your tour guide meets you at the airport and has an EF Ultimate Break sign. I have never had an issue finding my tour guide at the airport! There is an official app with a group chat but some tour guides choose to make a WhatsApp group. As far as the rooming goes it depends on whether you do the plus or essentialist version of the trip. The plus stays at an upgraded hotel and with one roommate. Versus the essentialist is more hostels, but in Iceland there aren't really hostels so we were in an average hotel with one roommate. Sometimes there is an option to pay extra for your own room. So for the trip all but maybe 3 of your meals are provided, so you will need money for food and any souvenirs. I think I spent $600 but I spent a bit on souvenirs and I don't really care for food so that usually isn't a big expense for me. And I brought a carry on suit case and then my backpack and that was enough for. Prioritize warm layers rather than cute outfits :) Let me know if you have any other questions! If you book the trip now there is the semi annual sale going on and if you use my link you get an extra $100 off! www.efultimatebreak.com/?ba=UAKristenC100
Thanks for sharing! I'm going on this trip in October! Hopefully I see the Northern Lights too. What type of camera did you use to capture these photos?
So the pictures with me were taken on someone else's DSLR that they set up with long exposure! The pictures without me in it I took on my phone! Night mode on Google Pixel 6 Pro. The key is any phone with long exposure

@@danniethinguyen I don't believe we explored the Highlands, we stayed within a couple hours of Reykjavik.

How did it feel with the scarf wrapped around your face for warmth. Did it keep falling down and was it hard to breath with it over your face ?
@@Roochance The scarf was a game changer! Kept my face protected from the wind and cold! Stayed in place well! Could breathe just fine!
@@kristen_clark_cool, was the pink snood better or the scarf. Looked very cozy. Hope you were nice and warm
