I have used and loved the Baby K’tan for all four of my babies as newborns. I don’t love it as much after they hit the 12# mark. I find it’s not as supportive. One thing I would say in correction is that the K’tan is sized to the wearer, not the baby. As Baby grows, it needs to be tighter to stay supportive. So if you wear a size XS now, you’d stay with an XS. Great review though! I’m a huge fan of babywearing and I love this mini series you’re doing! 😁
Absolutely love my K'tan! I have the active one because I am always hot and a plus is it has sun protection. I can wear my 3 year old and my baby in the same one, so you shouldn't need a different size unless it was too small to begin with. The wrap stretches with the weight of the child.
I love my k’tan for my newborns. After they get bigger I have a carrier with buckles that I like for shopping because it has more support and rests on the hips
I only discovered the k’tan after your video, and I bought one and love it! My 15 month old is a slim 21 pounds, but it shows you can definitely use it as they get bigger. It has saved my back and my life 😉
I prefer this over moby style wraps bcs the "tail" of fabric is basically non existent. Makes going to the restroom easier and is more hygienic when tying it in a dusty/dirty place. I lived overseas and found the moby constantly had dirt all over it from when I wrapped on the go but the ktan never touched the floor.
Agreed. I have a moby amd just bought a k'tan. Moby is a tad more comfortable/ supportive. However, the k'tan is just practical for grocery shopping or going out. Way easier!
I like the k'tan because it takes up little space in the diaper bag. I love my ergo but it isn't a good one to just carry with you when you won't need it the whole time. Nice to have options!
I think Daniel wonders what's up with him having to model all these wraps? Does he seem to have a favorite wrap? He looks adorable - like a little butterball
I have been taking care of a almost 5 month old baby and she gets so heavy after a while when I'm holding her on her fussy days. She just started teething can I had one difficult day with her where she did not want to be put down in my arms were hurting so badly do you think she is too big for a wrap? I'm thinking of trying it next time she's fussy
Hmm, I did read that newborns are not neurologically developed enough to be "spoiled" in that way. So I'm guessing no? But again, every baby is different
But they don't stay small for too long! Carry them as long as you can and they want you to! You're going to miss that one day. (Says mother of 4 8yo and older)
I am by no means a helicopter mom or an overly cautious mom nor a mom who drops everything to pick up her crying baby if all of baby’s needs are met, but I wore my baby all the time for as long as my back would allow lol, and she turned out fantastic. She wasn’t the super clingy or cry-for-anything type unless she actually needed something. My second was the complete opposite. I doubt it has anything to do with how long you “wear” them and has more to do with their individual personalities.
Not all all. We baby wore my daughter a lot. She’s now independent, active and unless she’s tired she’s too energetic to snuggle for long. If you think about other primate species, their babies cling to their parents as newborns, so baby wearing is basically in our genes.
No need to upgrade the carrier. The only thing you have to do is to choose the size of your t-shirt you normally wear. This product is designed to grow with your baby up to 3 years
I wasn’t a huge fan of the k’tan. Maybe because I’m already so used to using normal wraps? I got the XS and it was a little too big, so didn’t like that either. But also after wearing it for a little bit I felt like it’d always end up sagging down, which I don’t really experience with my wraps.
That’s perfectly fine so long as the knees are up. Prevents hip dysplasia that way. Another option is to scrunch baby’s knees up into fetal position. You do NOT want baby’s legs dangling. That’s not good for their developing hips.
For a mother with only one hand (amputee, or stroke victim) this wrap is very doable! Thanks for sharing!

That is awesome!
Thanks for sharing. Which is your favorite wrap? I'm looking for one for my daughter-in-law.
The K’tan is my all time favorite that I’ve used with both of my babes!!
What an adorable baby.
What size did you get?

My ktan worked from 1mo-10mo. I felt it was a little loose for a newbie (and my son was 8lbs)
That was the worst part of using my moby wrap! That and it was extremely hot to use in FL in September/October! 🥵
I just bought one of these and the directions for this hold shows something different than how you did it. Your way seems so much easier!
Well the company's video shows something close to what she is doing.
How do you know what size is best?

Thanks for being honest about it, yes my baby outgrew hers at 4 months

The little snorty noises lol so cute
My newborn makes little snorts LOL it's so stinking cute 😍
@@vcamie8755 lol love it. Just so precious haha 🥰🥰
How can I keep my baby's head from falling backwards? My baby is always wanting to look around and he just slings his head backwards even when still

How do you wash dishes with the baby?
Does anyone know if this is the original cotton wrap or the one made of the jersey material?
Does your baby get hot? My baby sweats when she’s covered it skin to skin
Can you breastfeed using the wrap?
Day in the life please :)
Do you find this produces a long term desire for baby to always be carried past newborn phase?

you make this looks so easy but actually I think it's so tough to wrap around
it definitely takes practice!
I'm glad you said the size
He is so yummy I could just eat him up in one big bite 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Look how spread out his legs are....
