Some 5-7 years back a racer with his new wife got trapped and died in Chennai and they're in a BMW. So where is safety of BMW. So safety should be from Driver. Also in Hosur in AUDI all 7 based away what about safety?
What ever safety features are provided, it depends on the person handling the car. If a person handles the car in a rash manner everything including the reliability is a waste. Nowadays only the mileage and reliability matters, so people prefer Maruti segment. If it's used in a proper manner. Maruti customers are satisfied with the vehicle in all manners starting from it's price, maintenance cost & budget friendly.

Don't blindly believe on Global NCAP ratings , all suzuki cars you included are built for a cost. Some compromise can be evidently seen. After maruti Suzuki cars launched , lower and middle class people started buying newer cars than people dont know how to assess 2nd handed cars.A good driver will drive responsible and prompt. Dont prioritise safety, its just an additional protection. Promote responsible driving first.
Whenever tata car gets launched, GNCAP will pop up their head and bash korean and japanese cars and promote Tata cars😮.So Automotive journalist like you should also speak about it.

Only this 10 cars are dangerous,other cars in India are all 100 % safety. Safety test is conducted in 64 kmph only not in 80 or 90 kmp, so according to you except these 10 cars are not safe , others cars are safe if we ride 90 kmpl and hit in collision nothing will happen to passengers.
I totally reject his Comments on IGNIS. For a Car of this Size, it is much safer car. On a highway its stable and does not wobble like he commented. I have driven over 7000 kms. Looks like he never driven this car. Obviously for a small car, you cannot expect 5 star safety.
Swift is just 2 star rating. Everybody knows the build quality of sPresso & Alto K10. But, these are not listed as No.1
If you are truly need a safe car, it will cost a lot, out of reach for most buyers of INDIA. We chose Car over a Bike for our safety & comfort over it.
People are carried away with 5 Start Rating. Its only a good selling point. Let me make it clear, 5 Star Rating will not save your lives on highway when you are cruising over 80kms/h as the all are crash tests are done at 60kms in a controlled environment. See all the Road Accidents on highway when they hit Truck or Bus, mostly there are no survivors irrespective of the Star Rating. If any survivors, Its pure GOD's grace.
The True Safety is Careful & Sensible Driving following all Traffic Rules. Very Focused & Attentive Driving on Road, Drivers need Rest, No driving when you feel sleepy or tired. You may be driving following all the rules and careful but the person driving other cards may be driving rash driving or under influence of alcohol. Drivers need to Anticipate that as well.
My Guidelines are:
1. See, what Objects are ahead of Car driving Infront of you. If you don't see it, then you drive slow. This will help while overtaking, sudden breaking of vehicle Infront of you. Somebody may be crossing infront of that Vehicle ahead.
2. Anticipate what the driver of Vehicle in front of you is doing. He may suddenly take left or break or when you are about to overtake, he may overtake as well.
