Ytboi Western Yes, the sudden spike in vocal editing towards the end of the song was a very interesting creative choice, almost as if reminding us that despite the less-then-contemporary instrumentals and content of the music video, this song was nevertheless made in modern times. Listening to it was strange at first, but it grew on me on repeated listens. Fun. is truly a very interesting band, in a very good way.

6 of us from my choir were chosen to sing this in a competition years ago. They chose us cause apparently we had ‘powerful’ voices to match the high energy of the song. And still to this day, it’s one of my favourite songs I’ve ever performed and gives me such nostalgia to happier times. Oh and we won the competition :)
So awesome. I remember performing so many times as just another voice in the choir, but still feeling the power and energy rolling like a wave through the group as we sang together... I may never have been outstanding, but together we made a mighty sound. Glad you have such great memories of not only choir, and your performance, and winning, but also this song. :):):)
