- Just thought I entertain you with a reason NOT to move to Wyoming.
Yes, there are people in Wyoming who would actually tell people not to move here. Here are some of my reasons.

I've lived in Iowa my entire life. Wyoming is my dream state. Being an introvert who prefers nature and being alone with my family, I think I'd do just fine. I appreciate the video though.
Always great to help
Same. Love nature , peace✌
@ommw I don't blame you
I grew up in ghetto neighborhood
I'm an introvert as well. And I love the cowboy look and atmosphere.
@Z your welcome to move here.
I lived in all sorts of different areas. Ghetto being one of them. If that’s te only place you ever lived, you will be amazed at how different the world here is. Feel free to ask any questions or anything. I’ve been here over 20 years now. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else in this country. I live in the Teton county/Lincoln county area. This area and the Sheridan area are the best places in Wyoming to live IMO.
Wyoming is no income tax states
Interesting. My brother, who is from Arizona, lives in Sheridan. I drove up to visit from Phoenix and was blown away by the emptiness. Beautiful in places though.
It is very beautiful here
#10. No B.L.M. riots or looting, period. (We never have fun)
#9. Open carry state, almost everyone has more than one gun. (Why would anybody want that kind of protection?)
#8. Gang violence is almost non-existent. (Once again, no fun, ever.)
#7. Abundance of wildlife. (Who wants to see wild animals on a daily basis?)
#6. Nobody wears masks. (We want to be illegally forced to obey power hungry liberals, too.)
#5. Places where you can see 30, 40, 50+ miles and not see a single man-made thing. (Why can't we have a concrete jungle?)
#4. Breathtakingly beautiful sunsets. (Sunsets are stupid.)
#3. Fresh air. (Come on smog hogs, share some with us.)
#2. Everyone knows everyone in the numerous small towns. (Why can't we be surrounded by millions of other random strangers?)
#1. Freedom. (Hardly any "woke" nonsense, which really sucks.)
**If you can't tell that I'm being super sarcastic with the comments in parentheses, then please, do not come to Wyoming, ever.
I love these comments...may I make a video on these?...
All the reasons why I am visiting Wyoming!! From being around different places in the US, I truly think Wyoming is one of the last American places in America left.
@@AnielleReid I agree
I don't care about all that political shit.
I just want to be alone and escape this hot texas sun. Is that too much to ask without having some ideologue fox news watching cuck tell me what to think?
I think I'm gonna move there first chance I get. Maybe I'll be your neighbor?
Excellent!!!!
wind... ok The columbia river george being the 150 mile windey river - the columbia river which is the river that divides Washington and Oregon = it has the most consistent high winds on earth. winds average from consistent speeds of 25 to 35 year around but depending on the time of year and sections of river being west to east winds rage from 35 to 45 with consistent gusts of winds up to 60 mph.. yea it blows for real in the columbia river george...haaa 20 mph winds I could sit in that all day all year long...cheers
Great points made here, thanks. Possibly unfortunate about being somewhat socially remote, likely as being rural and less populated area of the country currently. Definitely very sad about the absence/sparseness of mental health services available, an increase of which sounds like would benefit a lot of people at present. For those seeking this, equally sounds like a beautiful natural place, that's great for spending a lot of time outdoors, with clean air, slower pace of life and space to yourself (somewhat shared with some of the roaming local animals obviously), so say if you're content and find it easier to be by yourself or people who enjoy this too, and happy to entertain yourself alone for long(er) periods of time. The elements can be a bit relentless and extreme by the sounds of it, but nature and all this freedom and space can also be very therapeutic, depending on how you use it. Bless.
Yes exactly
My Wife wants to move to Wyoming. We live in Warm California. We're coming for a few weeks of Vacation. I'm 76 and I don't like the cold! Thanks for the tips!!
I dont like the cold either lol
When is your vacation planned for? If it’s in summer you will like it and be tempted to move here ASAP. Don’t make the move until you’ve experienced at least 3 weeks of winter here.
I've lived in Wyoming my entire life and it really isn't the type of place you wanna live if you aren't part of the majority
WHY
@@leelunk8235the people are basically super uneducated and very close minded.
Love Wyoming spent most of my life there, 43 below zero, is not my favorite. for weeks on end, but spring, summer, fall cant beat, and hunting fishing cant go wrong
Are the winters worse than MN? Snowing and cold here ~Oct.- May
@@user-ge5dk8qv9p im not sure..but your further north and by the great lakes...probably have worse winter than we do
I'm considering moving there. Conservative, peace-loving, currently in Chicagoland. Although we have some brutal winters, it's still relatively easy and quick to get to food and services. WY winters are the only thing that concerns me.
It's Dec 2022, did you move?
@@texastea5686 I did, and I love it!
@@tammyp2214 🥰🙌
@Texas Tea Chicago has just as cold weather and actually more snow! The "killer" here is the wind. I'm near Cody and this area, I think, probably has the mildest WY weather. 😊
Loved your video from a Alaskan (Fairbanks) considering moving to Wyoming.
Oh wow my husband is from fairbanks AK
It’s not a look/fashion statement in Wyoming it’s the way of life
Very true
Leaving Florida moving to Wyoming and never looking back. 💯
Welcome to wyoming 👍
@@ArizonaninWyoming Thank You‼️
Why did you leave Arizona ? Would you recommend visiting Wyoming ? I live in the U.K. but I run part of my biz in the US and love meeting real Americans in America.
We left Az only due to not having enough finance...Wyoming is definitely worth visiting...lots more to it than the typical tourist says
I've lost my enjoyment with Wyoming for a couple of my own reasons. It was good back in the old days, but these days it's not the way they used to be.
I can respect that
how is the wifi situation or cell phone signal situation there? If you live by the larger citites.
That will depend on the area you move to
My husband and live in Massachusetts, we’re planning a visit to Casper in March/April and then plan on moving there next summer.
Just fair warning there is still plenty of snow in the spring of wyoming
@@ArizonaninWyoming that’s what we were hoping ☺️
Just a heads up, Casper has a lot of tweakers… (meth heads). And there’s not much snow compare to other parts. There’s much better places than Casper or Cheyenne to live. If ya can stand small towns.
@@dwightchaos9449 I currently live in a city twice the population of Casper. I am surrounded by meth heads 😂😂 My husband and I went for a walk early one morning before work and we were about 4 blocks from home, cops were getting ready to do a raid on a house 😂 Unfortunately, it’s part of city life and I’m kind of used to it (as sad as that is). I also used to volunteer with our homeless community and the majority of them had addiction issues.
@@Jael_1776 got ya. That’s awesome you do volunteer work. It’s takes a person with a big heart, and to know selflessness. Not too many people around like that. Think about coming to Teton or Lincoln country. It’s prettier, more wildlife, and less of the rat race city vibe. We want people like you around us. Casper don’t deserve you. I’d be happy to tour guide you for a weekend. And we get 3-4x the snow
So sad about the high rate of suicide in Wyoming. My sympathy to you for the loss of your friend.
Thank you...its a pretty scary thought process
@@ArizonaninWyoming Yeah, that gung ho hang tough attitude allows no truck for mental or even physical challenges, hence the high medical costs.
THE MILITARY GETS 150 DEATHS BY SUICIDE YEARLY
@@ArizonaninWyoming depending on the year, in some years Montana is the highest.
Casper has a powerful wizard that can conjure thunderstorms and make traffic lights change twu
I lived in Arizona and hated it!
I'll take Wyoming ANYTIME!
I have both love and not for arizona
Everyone has there own feelings on it.
Just like wyoming, I both love it and not.
Mostly cause of the winters
How about the wind? Is it super windy in the summer months there? I too enjoy the wind especially when it’s not cold.
that depends on location, some areas are more windy than others
I’m conserving move to Wyoming
Cool👍
I'm in Arizona and it's still summer here Wyoming sounds pretty nice it is October but still summer here
We have beautiful fall leaves here in Wyoming...we have had a few 80 degree weather days, but mostly in the 50's and 60's
I been to arizona florida is worse it's almost 100percent humidity all year long plus upper 90s all year long everything wants to eat you
@@mattrobertson8265 I don't mind Arizona but I do love the winters here
@@mattrobertson8265 oh no ...im sorry
Ha! Try living in North Dakota! Rookies...
Lived and worked there for a few years. It's a shit hole. No scenery and almost no BLM land. I'll take Wyo any day. Not too much to be proud of there other than the oil patch. When it's steady.
Yep, was in Bismarck, 02-14-56, -53* have never forgotten. Nothing but a barb wire fence to stop the wind.
My family just moved from Arizona to ND. They love it.
Enjoying the content you have been sharing. Questions? How is the internet there? Fast? Do stores have wifi? Also, How is the Cell service?
To the internet/ WiFi question...its not the best...because so many people are home during the winters it can actually jam the services
Cell? that will determine who your carrier is
We also still use horse's and carriages for transport never seen a vehicle in my life.
@@Jamtheclam I grew up in Alaska. It was fun to tell people we road polar bears to school. 😁
This Video is correct, I lived in Wyoming for 26 Years and moved in 2016 before it started to fall apart, COVID just nailed the State Bad and did lots of damage to the Economy, it really hasnt recovered, The State has Sky High Unemployment, and its getting worse, the lack of Industry, manufacturing, or any financially sound Corporations makes it almost impossible to find any other jobs other than low paying Kid's type jobs, The State is in Economic Free Fall, entire towns such as Rock Springs, Rawlins and Green River are in Serious trouble and on the verge of Collapse, Abandoned Hotels, Stores, Business' are all over the place, The Main Mail In Cheyenne is on the verge of closing, as many restaurants in that city are, Crime is becoming a serious issue as well, there now are Dangerous area's in Cheyenne and Casper, unheard of just 5 years ago. Desirable locations such as Sheridan and Gillette are Suffering from Double Digit Unemployment, Crazy High Rents, Old Beater Rental properties Small old Coal houses set up in the 1940s are offered at $ 900 to well over $ 1500 per month, nice newer homes for rent can easily reach $ 2000 Monthly, Utility Bills in the winter easily climb to $ 400 , $500 to over $800 per month. Think long and hard before making a serious mistake and moving to the State, Go there check it out be a tourist, get it out of your system, and then read this again.....
what is the dating scene like? i googled what states had the most men and wy had slightly higher ratio of men to women. im a single female and always found the cowboy handy man rural type of men attractive. not finding much luck where i live now. just curious if theres more luck with women finding single men to date over there and if theres good effort put forth
Lol the wind! My husband was working in Rawlins from April to Sept this year and he just kept going on about the wind!! And it was still snowing in April/May! We're from south Texas so yeah...we're not used to it. Overall he enjoyed it, but it's hard to work out of state and not being with family =(
I realize this was posted 2yrs. ago, but I'll give it shot anyways. I am nearing retirement age ( currently 60 ) and I want to relocate to a State that will not tax my social security benefits + part-time work income. I just took up the sport of disc golf and absolutely love it. I am looking for a small town that has less than 20-30,000 people. I want a temperate climate. I almost transferred thru Walmart in 2015 to Cody, Wyoming but Amtrak does not go thru Wyoming at all, I hate buses. I would rent a u-haul or downsize a lot and just drive my own I am conservative thru + thru. I noticed a town like Powell only get about 10-20 inches .of snow each winter, that's if Wikipedia is accurate whatsoever on their Climate numbers??? Lol's the winters in Wisconsin are very LONG and very HARSH...we only have decent weather June thru September...so I need a change
I'm from Mesa and want a summer house. I was thinking of Wyoming, Idaho, Montana, or something like that. For summer only!
I wish the best of luck to you.
@@ArizonaninWyoming thx!
Sound too low for me
IVE BEEN IN WYOMING FOR ELEVEN MONTHS, THE WIND IS NOT THAT BIG OF A DEAL. MY BIG ISSUE IS LOUSY RESTRAUNTS! ANY DECENT ONES ARE CLOSED WEEKENDS AND ONLY A FEW HOURS A DAY.
I hear you there...not a lot of variety here
Is Laramie or Casper black friendly?
I never been there personally only drove thru...so I have answers on this one.
Appreciate the insight as currently living in Nevada and enjoy no state tax and a more independent attitude, however it is changing and becoming more regulated including 2A rights being infringed every year. I returned here after many years in that overpopulated, overegulated, and overtaxed neighbor state (which shall not be named....LOL) and it is an improvement, however now everyone is coming here. Know the snow and winters would be a challenge as I am now older and retired. However, the lack of people, open spaces, cowboy culture, and 2A rights would be much appreciated with the bonus of still no state taxes. Sounds much like the Nevada and Arizona I grew up in in the 50s and 60s. Hope your journey into 2021 is a good one for you and your family.
Thank I hope your year goes well as well
Move to Texas! Wide open spaces, no snow in most of the state, not state income tax, no infringements on 2A as anyone who can legally own a handgun can keep one loaded in the car concealed and their LTC (License To Carry) a concealed weapon are easy, cheap and fast to get. We are still very conservative and welcome all those who flee the oppression of socialist states. Many large cooperations are fleeing CA and coming here.
@@GordonWaiteJr I have a great deal of respect for Texas being married to both a Lady Longhorn and a native of Texas. Was there in 2016 seriously exploring areas like Hillsboro and the Lake Whitney area as well as possible destinations before moving back to Nevada. Not far to Waco, Dallas - Fort Worth, or Austin if you wanted to go to the city. In fact, one of my wife's ancestors was a Texas Ranger and her sister made sure our daughter was made a Private in the Former Texas Ranger Foundation to keep that heritage in focus. Though I know the group caring for it and the state are struggling one of the things I really enjoyed there was the battleship Texas. Yep, as the Arizonan in Wyoming points out you need to give the snow a great deal of consideration and for me that is true as I am originally an Arizonan. Thanks for the comment.
Is this a good place for pets? I have a small dog and cat sanctuary
It will depend on where you move to
and these are reasons not to move there??? i think ur tryin to keep people out lol
Lol no...just a warning of whats to expect
Of course we want people to keep out, we don't need you to bring your problems here & then try to change us !

#2 oh yes.... we're Hispanic from south Texas, my husband never found a decent "Mexican" restaurant in Wyoming. But of course, any food west of Del Rio, Texas is NOT the same as the Tex Mex good we have down here.
Fist time visited Wyoming in the Summer of 2021 and fell in love with the State. Everything about it.
The Rodeo's, the rancher clothing, the open spaces, the dry non humid weather, the mom and pop restaurants I found.
Me, being from MN, the winters seems warmer in Wyoming than in the frozen tundra state. Better yet, Wyoming does not have human size Mosquitos that MN has.
I'm glad to hear you had a good visit
GREAT IT'S BAD FOR BIG CITY PEOPLE.
That depends on the person.
There are a lot of people from big cities here...some like it...some don't
Thank you for your honesty! I really did want to hear from a resident and not a person who attained the knowledge from Google searches. But..you didn't present one reason I'd steer clear of Wyoming. I live in a shit hole state OHIO, and I'm probably 60 miles south of Cleveland, some think I'm in a small town of 80k people. I'm so looking forward to isolation away from dirt bag people. This city and state is an armpit of all armpits!
I'm just trying to inform people..wether people still move here is up to them
Is it ethnicity diverse?
There isn't any humidity here in Casper Wyoming!! I've been on the east coast and there is no humidity!! The winter drivers are because of people speeding. There is also way too much alcohol sources. Wyoming doesn't allow a lot of stuff that is offered in other states, they don't want it in the state.
Ok Wyoming is the best state in my opinion
Thank you 😊
I live in Wyoming it is a beautiful state Dont talk bad abt this beautiful date
Been in Wyoming since 2011 and I love it but if your thinking bout coming here I’ll say this if you vote blue we don’t want you here stay out
I've lived in Wyoming my whole life and vote blue. We flipped Laramie County this year. Suck it.
@@gottssunfire your disgusting 🤮 you should be ashamed of your self

Been her my whole life. Up an down no matter who is in office. I vote independent and tell anybody who has a problem with that to go to hell. We are also very independent and outspoken
Just recently the past couple months you can now call 988 as a crisis hotline. They’re struggling to keep it up so invest in the support for this hot line! Wyoming NEEDS this hotline!
Very true❤️
Are there plenty of jobs around there ..?
What are the shelters like do they help u get a job .....
The jobs? That depends on what your looking for.
I'm afraid I dont know about the shelters...if there are any they would be in Casper or Cheyenne
Be forewarned that Wyoming is very dependent on energy production, particularly coal. This will lead to declining state tax revenue in coming years, fewer jobs and maybe higher taxes.
@@thomasschellberg8213 there is still alot of oil drilling/Fracing going on. Wyoming will still be fine in the future
@@wamq29 For another ten years, you are probably right. I do not plan to get rid of my gasoline powered car any time soon. But long term, we will be using less fossil fuels, and Wyoming will have to diversify. Note that Wyoming has already taken a big hit due to declining coal revenue.
@Radio Hurricane Unfortunately, wind power does not produce a lot of jobs. Our local college is already facing big budget cuts with the decline in mineral revenue. The economy is unlikely to return to where it was ten years ago.
If your minority its a different point of view.
