Ken Hackathorn is BY FAR the best instructor I ever trained with and I have attended more than a few classes.

You're lucky. I would love to take a class with Ken. He practically invented IDPA.

@@feudist I lived on Oregon not far from thunder ranch, but there was no way I was going to be able to afford Clint classes.

One of the biggest detractions in the classes I've attended were those students determined to tell their favorite anecdotes that any given topic reminded them of. It takes a strong instructor to diplomatically keep that sort of time wasting to a minimum.

My Dad told me if I were there on time, I was Late. As a Family, we were always early and now as an Individual, I am always early. Dad taught me well.

It's probably the military in me but the not starting on time would definitely rub me the wrong way. If I'm paying for time than I want all of what I'm paying for. I always go by if you're 15 minutes early you're on time and if you're on time you're late. If more than 15 minutes is needed then the leader of training needs to make that known so attendees can adjust fire accordingly. For me personally after about 10-15 minutes after everyone is suppose to cocked locked and ready to rock and still waiting I'd start asking for my money back.

I have to wear a hat? The people I respect the most have pointed to this man as the one of the very best.

I have been on ranges (professional ranges not rent a lane) that require a hat be worn.

@@commonsense7787 I would wear a hat as instructed. When fortunet to have an expert I pay close attention and follow instructions.

I don't disagree with much said here. Round count is a stupid standard for a class. Also I like your break schedule. Hourly breaks are a waste of time.

It's ok Ken I have gone by the moniker "Hey You" for a very long time. I don't get wrapped up in that sort of thing. I expect good instruction and I am reasonable on that as well. Nothing is perfect, and my guess like light airplanes the rifle range is a noisy place so it has to be a bitch just making yourself understood. I would rather shoot 150 to 200 rounds of well-directed instruction and blasting off 1000 rounds. As a Pilot and Flight instructor, I know full well of what some of the complaints would be.

I love how everyone blames Obama for the ammo shortage and not right wing fearmongering.

m.ua-cam.com/video/x1jEj2LFQnA/v-deo.html the fearmongering certainly started from a solid foundation of a likely ban

Hahaha! At the end of 2020 most of us fantasize about the good old days of Obama!😂 During the Trump-19 pandemic the ammo is sold out all the way down to the oddball rounds! If ammo ever comes back I"d love to take a class from Mr. Hackathorn!
