I would propose (it seems crazy) to replace the pole by a rope and that the couple enters holding on to the rope. The idea of the rope is because it is flexible and helps to make it easier for two people to hold on to each other. You make sure that whether or not they give the last touch of hands and enter at the same time. Best regards
