Your podcasts are so interesting, funny, informative, painful. I'd never heard of Kifaru, now I want to buy your tent.

Taking batteries out can definitely help. Overseas all of the guys in our squad would unscrew the back of our tac lights, because you'd come back from a long day patrol and bumped the taclight button on all day. Helped a bunch at night too when it's easy to ND your light walking through scrub or rough terrain. All you had to do if you needed it was give a quick half turn on the back and it was operational.

Great podcast! Created a handout years ago for guys I’ve trained - for lost, injured, disaster situations - one of five items - NEVER LEAVE YOUR PACK! It can cost your life or others.

what I like about these podcasts is you guys arent afraid to admit that you guys screw up. And you all bring the real to these. I would like to hear a podcast about what step by step actions you guys take in planing a pack hunt for say 5 days from scouting to the return to the house at the end of the hunt.

Found your pod casts and have been watching them and love them. You guys have some great advice and love to hear the good/bad/ugly. I too mark the spot the shot was taken from and will walk to and mark where the animal was at when shot was taken. I also mark the time too. Still a newbie at western hunting but love the tips and tricks.

Good podcast, just now finding this episode. Couple points, #1 what good does carrying water purification tablets do if you don’t have a container? A hat or your hands isn’t going to hold it long enough to purify. #2 when you shoot an animal, range it after the shot if you didn’t before, then mark where you shot from. You can then walk out and find exactly where you hit it, instead of being in front or behind it.

Wind and copenhagen are paramount. Great podcast guys. How about a podcast on backcountry hunting packs where Aron reviews Brian's top 3 packs and Brian reviews his top 3?

Great podcast! Seems like I always laugh a lot and learn a lot. It would be great if you could do a podcast with Aron about all the things you guys do for scouting. From Google earth to maps, putting boots on the ground and anything else you guys look at. What are good ways to find animals in pockets where you probably won't find people etc. Keep the videos coming and stay gritty! Haha.

I know you touched on it in the fitness podcast and nutrition, but an idea for a podcast could be in the gym and specific workouts and exercises guys could do for certain muscle groups and or types of cardio etc. that would be the most beneficial for hunting. Like for being able to pull 70 lbs back easily from any position and the specific muscles that requires, or for packs lifts that do the most good for supporting muscles in your legs back etc. It's always good to have new lifts and to change up your workouts.

Why do you guys always hold back on bashing companies? Kuiu as an example. Everyone likes to hear all the sneaky things they do like weight and breath ability ratings. Love the podcast and the open minds.

Yup, elk don't care about a whitetail deer bleat.
