The Palmer thing you did with acheampong doesn't work, Palmer actually had impact at city for the few times he came on, the goal in the super cup, a goal against arsenal, the performance against us on the left. But acheampong shouldn't rush it, his first appearance he looked clumsy and nervous in a game we've wrapped up, he hasnt really shown any glimpses yet to put him in that category
Surely the logical thing for us is to let Acheampong develop as a centre back as well as a right back (similar to chalobah), with the way we play under maresca that would make total sense and his pathway would be displacing disasi for a start as well as tosin

@Kw023 Santos, Lavia and Caicedo are amazing prospects. No academy players are close to them. Colwill and I think Gilchrist will be a great squad player Also, I would say Tomori and Guehi would have been top level had they stayed.
The club simply does not want its young stars developing on a pathway where they then develop their stock to leave. To me it is more than fair. Acheampong obviously let the club believe that he was going to sign and then stopped when he had more interest. If he’s not ready to sign, then sell him and bring in the next wonderkid from Brazil. Simple as that.

The pathway to play for Chelsea is to be better than the player that's currently first choice. Everyone has that pathway. If a player is good enough but not good enough yet, then go on a loan. That's a pathway for getting game time. The club has quota for the loan army, so why should they develop players that just want development to be handed for free? They think it's their birth right to take up precious slot and resources in the club without giving back anything in return?
REECE JAMES. Let's be honest, we may burn another academy prospect by gambling on Reece staying injury free... this should be explained to Josh. But if Liverpool lose TAA then we don't have much of a chance in keeping Josh anyway

Re Josh you’d think this was why we were looking at the multi club system. Playing hardball isn’t going to work with a guy who has options..
