    It pays billions of euros every year to support illegal migrants and sets ridiculous bars for legal immigrants to jump through, and spends money on humanitarian aid but barely invest enough in its own economy.
    What do you expected

    The sick man in Europe is a relative term. In that case, wouldn't it be fair to call France and Italy terminally ill?

    • @960john
      @960john 18 днів тому +1

      It depends on how you measure it. They're talking about short term gdp growth, i think. Both Italy and France had positive growth in 2024, Germany is stagnant or in slight recession. Of course, when you look at other indicators, Germany performs better

      I am 100% German, i have big blue eyes, sleek back hair and wears a rolex. THe reason why we are in this predicament is because we have taken a lot off imigrants from the middle east, east/ central Asia and Africa under the previous and the current governments. Thse people are not highly skilled, they eat our food and take our money. They dont produce anything except more babies (f00k like rabbits). Send them all back and we will prosper again.

      @@960john I focus on the national debt in relation to GDP and the ongoing public deficits. Added to this is the lack of political and societal will for structural changes.

      These countries have had problems for a while already, which means they're stable. Maybe "chronically ill" is a better term. Germany's decline could be faster and deeper.

    As a doctor with advanced degrees in the field, we are exposed to discrimination every day. We have built our country to contribute to the prosperity of this country, but the German government supports the homeless and illegal immigrants at the expense of those who work hard to develop this country.

    Switzerland also has a debt brake 🙂 Clemens is right. It's an excuse. I would say from politicians who for all intents and purposes don't want to prioritize.

      @@randomgermandude-x1o Yes, it is part of the Growth and Stability Pact and it has never been respected. It is a good example of politicians' last priority being to prioritize. Therefore, it is positive that Germany's debt limit is strict. It is one of the prerequisites for a strong nation, just look at Switzerland.

    Clement Fuest : the Boss is in Town : Yes Sir ,health & care expanding and manufacturing decline.
    A concrete example ? a doctor earns 10,000 euros(with all taxes paid) per month,
    and after 15 years has an average wealth of 3,000,000 euros. With zero employees!
    That's much better than a successful entrepreneur with 10 to 90 employees!
    End of the game , the decline will be slow, so without social upheaval, but it is inevitable (France, Germany etc...)

    Germany is the economic engine of Europe. They were in much better shape with reasonable priced Oil and Natural Gas from Russia. The sanctions against Russia have weakened the European Union against it's competitors in North America and Asia. Germany would do well to declare itself independent of NATO and the US and set it's own destiny. Turn on the one Russian gas pipeline and begin repairs on the others.

      Even outside of NATO Germany will be bound to defend Baltic countries, Finland and Poland in case of Russian attack - almost certain if Germany continued to finance Russian war machine.
