    What such a great loss in country music, and what a great shame what happened to him! I almost saw Keith. But he passed away right before the concert I was going to see him at. I truly miss Keith, but I still listen to his music and great country voice. He is one of a kind for sure! I wish there were more like him today instead of this so called country s**t. There is no more country music anymore. Just turn the radio on man.

      100% agree. Modern country music sounds like a badly done mixture of christian rock ,hip-hop, and pop music.

I was in the business for 20 years. Yep, A boozer. Plain and simple. Loved it. Hooked on it. Couldn' t go on stage without it. Simple as that. Partied after the shows. Keith and I partied a couple of nights before his death. The Ville is a party town. Just have to go to the right places.

    {continued from previous post} In fact if Lorrie WAS "screwing around" it could be that it was HIM that drove HER to it with his alcoholism, right? I mean we don't know, so we can't assume anything. They are both great performers, I like both of them, so I try not to let their personal lives that I know nothing about influence my musical tastes.

    @onelazydaizy I actually checked the blood alcohol level with the coroner's report. You are 100% right and that is 5 times the definition of intoxication plus he had cocaine and vallium in his system. The alcohol level could have don't it by itself and probably did. He was an all-time great and this is still a sad sad story.

      read Cathy O'Brien's book. If true--and a lot of circumstantial behavior and conduct would indicate that it's true, the Nashville CM scene is full of satanists, pedophiles, CIA drug runners. Whitley was a good soul, and knew too much about all of it. Morgan and many others were participants in all of it.

Don't know if Keith got caught up in it since I am in California but I do know it exists. I still believe his death is questionable. And the coroner in the case could be bought. Wow.

  • @musickluvrr
    @musickluvrr 11 років тому +1

    If Lorrie Morgan is "responsible" for his drinking, how do you explain the fact that he had an alcohol addiction in his teens? As for the songs he wrote/sang, that's just country music. How many country songs have you heard that were about being happy? Compared to the thousands that are about being unhappy? I doubt that Lorrie was pouring the booze for him & if I HAD to live with a cheater or an alcoholic, (I wouldn't live with either, but if I HAD to choose one) it wouldn't be the addict.

    Keith was a serious alcoholic. The real story in Nashville was he was locked in his room the day he died because his manager was trying to keep him sober. He drank an entire bottle of mouthwash with alcohol in it and died from dehydration. Lorrie, was never to blame for his downfall.

    Multiple spouses, the more there are, the more it appears that the "marrier" has serious issues with tolerating even a little bit the foibles of other people, and just quits the marriage only to repeat the cycle all over again.
    There is the oversexed female: one man, 2,3,4,5,6, infinitum would never be enough). (LizTaylor?), that is obsessive about the need to cheat.
    Love her music but would chop off my right arm before I would ever be as fond of her as I am of Emmy Lou, Lucinda Williams.
