I'm curious....under reference books there are 5 books and the book club book. Why did you only get 2 out of the 5?? I'm just wondering if I'm going to need all of them. We aren't doing Torchlight...just this.
I just looked at my copy of the art of rock ‘n’ roll and I just realized that there’s more books in the reference books area ,,, I honestly didn’t see that! 😳 I based my book selection off of the TorchLight teachers manual, on there it only mentions jukebox , legends icons and rebels music that change the world , and the history of rock for big fans and little punks 🤷🏻♀️..
My 6th grader next year will be doing the All About Money workbook too. We have really enjoyed Lightning Literature so we're sticking with that again. Torchlight looks really neat though! Do you do all your electives every Friday, or do you switch it up? I think that schedule would work well for us because it seems like I can't seem to fit science and history, etc with everything else in the week.
We do , do all of our electives on Fridays ,, with our economic work books I might have them work through the economic one first and then the personal finance one .. I still have to work out some kind of schedule but I usually don’t do that until we actually start and spend at least one solid week on our new curriculum ..
@@HomeschoolOfBelAir I love the idea of all extras on one day. Do you only plan to do Torchlight on Fridays? We did Torchlight last year and while we enjoyed it, it was a lot to fit in! I’d love to hear how exactly you plan on weaving into your schedule. Thanks!
@@Ffacademy2082 my plan is to possibly only do the read aloud chapters required for Friday so that we can stay on track as far as the literature portion ,,, also we’re not doing the book club reading,, that seem excessive!! I’m actually going to be filming a video hopefully this week on how I’m planning it out .. but yes as far as all of the extras like the Art of rock ‘n’ roll the science portion, Ethics and equity etc… All of that will be done on Friday

Theirs a lot of great options on Amazon,, I own a TruBind spiral (coil) binding machine , they are a bit on the pricey side ,, A good friend of mine Owns a pro click which I believe are about $100 then she just buys regular spiral coils from Amazon that’s a great option as well , the only thing with the pro click is that you could only punch 4~5 pages at a time.. With a spiral binding machine it is going to be more of an investment due to the price I got mine directly from the TruBind Company
Do you print out all of the Torchlight yourself at home? What kind of printer do you use? I want to use more PDF curricula, but I don’t know how to handle all of the printing. Also, do you spiral bind them yourself?
Yes! Torchlight is pdf download only, so yes you have to print it yourself. I have an Epson Printer it’s an eco tank 3760 and absolutely love it! I also spiral bind myself … it’s an investment but as you homeschool longer and print at home more and more it becomes a lot more affordable option as you go !! Especially if you’re homeschooling multiple children

I have an ecotank 2760 I think it was the cheapest that did doubled sided printing. We print so much curriculum now. I love it
