I know you can come off like a villain in the magic community, but I came into your stream yesterday while you were playing Outlaws' Merriment . My favorite card ever. I really appreciated it as I couldn't see my family and had to work all day. Most Christmasy thing that happened all day yesterday.
The shuffler isn't broken, just sometimes the card sleeves stick together. If only there was a way to digitally wipe off the sleeves after each match...

Intimately aware of Land screws even running 25+ lands, that one-of BIG creature/game winner always being in your opening hand... *edit* I'm Dave but responding from a different device
@@rotaryskratch18 I haven’t played Arena in about 2 months because I got sick of having to deal with the exact same threat 3 times in a row, just because Arena thinks everyone should be drawing a whole play set over the course of the 6 first turns. It’s fucking ridiculous. Whoever designed the algorithm for this game is a literal crackhead

One criticism, purely ‘constructed’ of course, would you ever find value in zooming in a little on the tech portion of your vids please? I think that, with a little ‘constructed’ arranging you can utilize more of the negative space in the MTGA gui and still feature your webcam picture-in-picture overlay quite nicely. And, tbh, I only mention this bc I only watch YT in my phone so it’s difficult to read the cards after I screenshot for later reference (so, admittedly, it’s a bit of an edge case haha). Just beat a mono-red deck with your B/U Ashiok control deck from a few weeks ago. I have to give them props though, he did let me actually defeat him with my three nightmares and a crawling barrens, instead of scooping. So, respect to my anonymous opponent.
CGB, I feel you. I had 6 people in a row cast turn 5 genesis ultimatum on the play. I lost 14 times in a row the coin flip to begin (and 11 times in a row as well). I got 6 mirror matches in a row in Brawl while changing decks 2 times. The matchmaking system of MTGA makes me not want to play the game I love... Let alone the starting hands : 3 forest, 4 blue cards, mulligan, 3 island 4 green cards, mulligan the 4 and only colorless lands and 3 the great henge. I was playing a boros aggro deck for quest, I put down robber of the rich, I exiled an extinction event vs that yorion deck. I attacked a second time, I exiiled another extinction event, feeling safe and having only 1 more creature at 4 cost, I cast it... they played extinction event.

I play a simic lands deck that runs over 30 lands, ive gone multiple games that I will only draw green or no lands on a 2 land hand. Gotta love that shuffler!
I don't play Mono Red too often because there isn't a Tribal theme that I like, but I am really looking forward to Red Dwarves with Kaldheim coming out! Probably will be more than Mono Red but I want to make a Dwarves deck for sure!

TIL that no one knows how etrata works or is willing to read it, because a couple people played creatures into the combo. I've talked about it for a month and a half and nobody listened. Like come on, at least read the card.
been playing red for a while my old deck is still sitting at 76% win rate. Playing 25 land with two spike field and shatter skull with a crawling barrens in there too (beat you too it for once Mr Blue). Worst match up for red is white or green so maybe roil eruption will be a good fit, but white really ain't that good been trying to get it work since forever. Anyway definitely gonna try your list see how it compares.
Played 14 games between yesterday and today, 7 mono red just try and get some wins, and was on the draw 13 of 14 times...needless to say I lost most of them and I think I’m done with MTGA for a while. Only so many Ls I can take before I just honestly give up on the game. Great content.
Making a thematic deck that holds it's own up at top 100 Mythic? You're in a class all yer own, CGB. I think it's a great idea to spotlight each deck individually, not really recycling the content imo.
