    You should realize this guy's issue isn't the weed, it's the pistol. In Tennessee a convicted felon is prohibited from possessing ANY firearm; not just owning it; but having possession of it no matter who it belongs to. Possession of a firearm by a convicted felon is a 5 year mandatory minimum prison sentence. Weed, unless it is a substantial amount, would most likely carry a $200-$300 fine, with no jail time.

      That's all over America. No felon is allowed to carry a firearm

    • @GreatgunYu
      @GreatgunYu 10 місяців тому +3

      Maybe a controversial take but I don’t think it should be a felon for potheads to own. Potheads should have the rights to bare arms. I mean alcoholics are allowed to own firearms and the effects are worst, a lot of times it’s makes people violent. The law should change.

    • @John_Redcorn_

      @@GreatgunYuhe wasnt supposed to have a gun because of his felony assault/domestic abuse charges.

    • @garyseabolt
      @garyseabolt 10 місяців тому +9

      I agree completely but the reason he is a felon isn't because of weed. It is because of his prior convictions. He had 5 aggravated assault convictions which are all considered violent felonies on their own. He had 2 prior drug convictions which may or may not have been felonies. I don't remember what his other priors were but it is irrelevant since one felony conviction takes away your right to possess a firearm. But the debate about this is really heated depending on which side you are on because the 2nd amendment doesn't qualify gun ownership in regards to being a convicted felon, this is a law which was passed later, so based on the second amendment alone it doesn't matter whether you are a felon or not you should still have the right to bear arms. Apart from being a convicted felon Tennessee law is: you can legally carry any firearm either open or concealed without a license.

    • @StayProteus
      @StayProteus 10 місяців тому

      Also speaking from personal experience at least in Texas it’s also unlawful to be in possession of a firearm in the presence of an illegal substance and/or while intoxicated. I may or may not have had a tiny and I mean not even half a gram amount of weed but because I wouldn’t snitch on someone which pissed off the cops and simultaneously someone snitched on me the cops got pissed and seized the legally owned gun I had in my truck, charged me with the weed the person who stitched had in their possession which was a larger amount and in a different vehicle and charged me with unlawful carry. I support good cops and have had far more good experiences even where cops have let me off the hook for stuff as a teenager so I’m not hating on cops but I will hate the ones that pulled that on me till the day I die because no matter what I’m always respectful to cops but those cops decided to meet that respect by flat out lying on the police report and a bunch of other stuff. Anyway point is if you have a gun don’t allow any substance near it and don’t drink near it (even though I was was sober the weed still obviously applied since I was charged with it all together)

I got so enraged I chased him down and tackled him and almost got shot by the police myself. I’m saying this because I have experience in situations like this not just that one. The whole thing is horrible but the guy in the white pick up truck why was he so lackadaisical? Why did it take him like 10 seconds from when she’s pulling on his doorhandle saying, I need help to slowly walk his dopey ass around the truck. Where is the urgency? What’s wrong with you? Where is the testosterone. Screw that guy, I kept thinking he must’ve went around the back of the truck because it can’t be taking him this long. What the hell is wrong with people such cowards.
