  • The Serbian Army conducted collective training exercises with Nora B-52 self-propelled howitzers at training ranges near Niš. These howitzers, part of the Yugoimport-SDPR production program, had been in service with the Serbian Armed Forces for several years.
According to Yugoimport, the Nora B-52 155mm self-propelled howitzer was designed to provide fire support for its own units. It was capable of delivering powerful, rapid, and surprise fire on tactical, operational, and strategic targets at great distances. The training aimed to further enhance the operational capabilities of the Mixed Artillery Brigade’s division armed with Noras, preparing them for effective combat deployment.
During the training, the crews practiced occupying firing positions, timely target detection, utilizing the automated fire control system, and executing indirect firing. This training adhered to established standards and norms for effective operation.
The continuous training and drills were essential for maintaining high operational readiness and combat readiness of the division. The introduction of the Nora 155 mm howitzers had significantly improved the division’s capabilities to provide reliable, precise, and powerful fire support to the Serbian Army units in various operations.
