We travel around Australia going inside garages to get the story behind the car and the owner. Looking at what they have down and where it has come from to look as good as it does today.

Just beautiful… everything about this thing is spot on! Not overdone, streetable , practical and with a very respectable 400hp 350.. all you need mate!

One fascinating irony about becoming an old bloke, is you get to watch things go in and out of fashion. When I was a little boy, cars like this (standard one, not the tuned version) were common as dirt. When I was a pimply-faced yufe, they were rusting old shitboxes, the HQ was much better. When I was a young man they were stuff at the wreckers that nobody's ever going to want again. In early middle-age they became watch list, things that are not worth much now but likely to become valuable soon. Now I'm a busted-arse old fool and a restored version is a shiny new artwork & homage to a better simpler day. It's a showcase for the skills of the current generation.
Like YoYos & Hulu-hoops and skateboards and the Liberal Party, it comes in and it goes out.
I note they took the breaker points out and never put them back. From what I remember, that was probably a good move... Modern brakes & tyres and shock absorbers probably don't hurt either... and headlights that show you things more than 20 yards away...

absolutely love it I paid 200 for one a few months ago when I was 17 all matching numbers with paper work getting it all stripped down to bare steel at the moment my plans are to keep it original but paint it red with center lines

With the greatest respect to that good looking young bloke, I'd rather be looking at the car, NOT his beautiful face. Why not do a voice over? And Jeez I was keen to look at the interior but you blokes zoomed through it to get back to.... James's pretty face! And let's HEAR that beastie punish the bitumen!
