Gracias amigo... Tengo una duda, por que en algunos esquemas de cableado ponen una resistencia pullup.. ademas la lectura es muuuuy lenta.... Le tiro aire al sensor dht y la lectura aparece luego de mas de 2 minuto en el dash..
This was exactly what is was looking for! Does this DHT22 sensor work in parasite mode? Another tutorial I've seen adds power from the board to the data line with 4.7K Ohm resistor between.
Where would install this in a room, I was planning on monitoring the room temperature so the system could turn on the ac automatically when the temperature goes above a threshold.
I would do a search online like, "where to mount a thermostat" or "where to install a thermostat". Most of the results will be for installing the thermostat for a center HVAC system but there will be advice you can use pertaining to the height and such. You will also find tips like to not install the thermostat where the sun from a window might hit it. I would probably follow that advice and try to find a location on the opposite side of the room as the AC. I would also try to temporarily mount it and try it out before doing a permanent installation.
as a beginner in home assistant - best explanation i have found... was searching ages and its soooooo easy thx!
Good introduction for the beginner

apparently the DHT22 doesnt work with HA anymore, I've got one and cant get it to work. Reasing saying DHT isnt supported anymore
Could you confirm this? I'm going nuts trying to make it work!
Untrue. It works just fine. I just set another two up today and they're working great.
