Love the ingenuity man!
Thank you, I am proud of this one!
Is it nice having a neighbor with an ice cream truck?
Lol, she is a good neighbor, but I have never purchased ice cream from her.
Just a side tip: try running some whips or e’s on joints. It was a little hard to tell from the angle/distance but a tad higher voltage will help with penetration. Thanks for the vid again dude!
Thank you for the tip!
God damn that weldings rough as guts
Not a professional welder. Btw, pulled over 20 posts no breaks or issues. Try not to get hung up on things that do not matter, lol. Thank you for watching.
@@TheImprovementChannel *Yanked that concrete out! I have this little thing called a welder and when mild steal breaks, I **_STICK IT BACK TOGETHER_** lol. Cheers, mate well done!*
@@1nvisible1 thank you!
good video nice to add specs-size/thickness of metals and mig wire feeds/speeds/gas type, show cutting material-a few shots
Yes, that would be a good idea, I do that in a lot of my other vids. Trying something different here.
does it need some pulleys added to multiply its torque? It seemed to grunt a bit...It may have trouble on longer wooden posts???
Good question, it does have 1 pulley that doubles the pulling power from 440 lbs to 880 lbs.
what about adding a removable balance arm to stabilize puller-like an outrigger on a crane truck :)
It would have to lean against something solid. That is why those are mounted on solid things like a truck or concrete footing. I did weld 2 PCS that come off the top to keep the machine on the post while the base moves around.
Welds Look cold
Maybe a little cold, used thin metal to keep the weight down. Nothing has broken.
I pulled mine with a tractor Jack 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️
How do you get the jack away from the concrete? I have used a bumper jack as well, no comparison. This unit pulls straight up and keeps pulling pressure on the post while you rock it around.
Lol a farm Jack would have done the same thing and less weight
I have used a farm or bumper jack and it does not do the same thing. You want the foot of the jack away from the concrete the. The top of the jack wants to go wherever. We had 14 posts to pull that day. This worked much better than a farm jack. It is heavier, that is why I have to young helpers.
*Farm jacks lean towards the load and when the handle catches you in the chin you're spitting teeth for a week. This lift could pull 500 a day and I still go swim a click on the weekend.*
