What a good question and to be honest I have no idea. One for the list to look at on a dry day. Far too wet at the moment to be clambering around under the caravan with a camera. Watch this space. We'll let you know on Twitter 😍
Just about to buy a 12 Mts old 840 Chatsworth, never had blown air before always had alde which is like home from home, is the blown air noisey and can you hear it on night mode? Once water is hot how long will it last when having a shower? Thanks in advance
Answers to both are pretty subjective. Yes, you can hear the fan on the heater but we don't find it disturbs our sleep. Would suggest you ask the dealer to plug the van in and turn it on. Lay on the bed and you'll get an idea. I wouldn't have thought on a van that big it would be a problem for you. As for the shower, Ally has hers with a full tank of water and I need to put the 15 min boost on to bring it back up to temp. We use the turn on to wet, off to soap, on to rinse method and it does us fine. We find the eco camel head shower does the job. We very rarely use on site facilities. Hope that helps a little. 😍
Thanks for your reply much appreciated, just found out the van has AC unit also under the fixed bed with the ducts coming out next to the blown air ducts , apparently this AC works cold air and warm air 🙏🤩
Once you prime the system, the hot water tank remains full as it only empties when the pump draws water in. The issue is, as the cold water comes in, the overall temperature in the tank falls, so the boost may be needed for things like showers. That's the reason why the tank needs draining at the end of a trip before travelling as the tank will always be full. Hope that helps.
Very similar to my caravan, just a newer version, love how easy it is to operate, thanks for sharing👍Mark & Coral
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching 🥰🥰
Whale system in our 2017 586 is great. Fast to heat up and not intrusive into any of the under-seat spaces.
Good to know this system is great even in much larger caravans. Thanks for commenting 👍👍
Can you leave the water heater on all the time you’re on site
Theoretically yes, the unit would be fine. We never do as we just heat water as we need it 👍
Looks like a great system, does it take up much space underneath?

Any way of knowing how much water you have in the tank?

does the water heater when put on boost mode does it divert all the power to the water heater
No. The boost is a 6amp boost for 15 minutes
@@Coffeevaners what about when you put the boost mode on gas please
The boost is electric power only. If on gas it automatically kicks in if the water temperature drops.
