The speed of a winger, the strength of a centre and the mind of a captain, a fantastic player and a deserved Lions captain.
The jackal of a 7!
Great tries all but missing arguably his most iconic ones, his hat trick against France at the Stade de France in 2000
Indeed, a glaring omission!
Everything is subjective , sadly not all the greats of history can be on the pitch at the same time.
He was without doubt quite possibly the best center to play for Ireland and one of the very best to play for the British and Irish Lions in my opinion.
The Lions represent the best of the best and he did four tours , that should tell you all you need to know how he was held by the rugby world , all around the world.
I'm English so I don't have a bias towards a fellow countrymen .
I'm just saying it is as I see it.
If there was a top 5 centres and O Driscoll was in it obviously, who would you pick?
In the Southern Hemisphere they think he’s shit, it’s startling to get drawn into a discussion with any kiwi Aussie or Bok fan. They really didn’t rate him, it’s insane and beyond narrow. People forget the state of Irish rugby before him, he was to all extent and purposes a catalyst for where that country is now.
@@oliverhunter9495 They do rate him, that’s why he was spear tackled.
@@ivanhughes8699 I’d pick Horan first and foremost as he is in my opinion the best there has been and by some way. It’s hard because to play internationally at centre you need an insane skill set so there are just so many great players, it’s like the back row in that sense.
@@ivanhughes8699 imagine BOD and Mike Gibson in the same team
We were blessed to have witnessed first hand the best player in the world to have ever graced a rugby pitch
What? He's nowhere near the best ever. He's not even the best Irish player ever
@@alanrobinson7891 You're obviously not Irish to make a bullsh*t comment like that..
@@jamesmacoisdealbhaigh9904 I most certainly am Irish. I just happen to think there's been better players than him. Doesn't make me wrong, or make my comment bullshit
@@alanrobinson7891 what players have been better than him in an Irish shirt? and what statistics back up what you're saying?
@@croissants1280 so you need statistics to back up an opinion do you?
Fantastic centre, turn off pace and creating/seeing gaps in the defence. Virtually unstoppable in his day
He was an excellent player.
Im pretty sure that last try against england was ruled out as a forward pass, but he scored one later in that game
The second to last one was definitely forward as well.
The greatest irsh sportsman of all time! An absolute phenom and had an incredible aura around him on the pitch. Just had a bit of everything about him and when he played, rugby in Ireland was can't miss.
Jeez, don't know what you've got until it's gone. There was nobody like him. Up there with McCaw and Carter...x.
Ah o'driscoll. The dupont of the 2000s. A total freak.
a great player
Love the ref wearing green white and blue for the first few clips
One of the greats.
que jugadorazo 👏 🙌 👌 👍¡¡¡¡
Second last try, where Sexton passes to BOD seems to be very foward in the reply?
Did ye really include the try against England that was disallowed?? Ahahaha lads, come on!! Of all the ones out there to choose from :D
Good

Can we have a video of his ‘iconic’ tries in World Cup knockout games please?
Second best NH player behind only Gareth Edwards!
The second last one was definitely not iconic, should have been a forward pass and we lost that game. The last one was actually disallowed! (Wrongly). Some epic tries overlooked here for those..
Losing the game and Drico receiving a forward weren’t his fault.
@John Mc didn't say they were.. just said it makes it not iconic.
I love Drico, best centre to ever play the game in my opinion, but that try against France in 2001 was definitely not grounded, it was like an american football spike
Master of the forward pass.
master of your self worth
😂😂😂
Who is? O Driscoll is scoring the tries not passing.
The one against france in 2001 he definitely dropped it!
I guess you're more of a glass half empty type of guy!
@@kayakwestnow4788 haha usually not, I grew up with Drico!
