I think you are 100% correct on slightly bigger indicies. I love the white opaline dial, but it does seem a bit empty. I hope this watch gets a bit of a makeover in a year or two, and they make it a bit thinner with bigger indicies and their t-fit clasp. That would be legendary. ❤
I have had the black dial version for a year and I am still in love with mine, it's a perfect fit for my 7 1/4 wrist , to me it's all about the movement and the warranty. My only complaint is the lume, but I have a growing stockpile of san martin homages that I frequently swap out at night anyway, to keep the gold diggers focused and in case the watch gets smashed or dropped. I loved this watch before I ever saw one. I started w/seiko divers in the early 80's , and to me a watch needs to have some size and command presence for it to establish superiority when surrounded by 98% of other watches. Great minds think alike! thank you for this video and thank you for you service also.
You one of them crazy people who wears a watch while sleeping!?!? What happens if you have a nightmare and your swinging your arms fighting them imaginary demons🤣(I guess the watch is a weapon at that point)
Agree. I bough mine (black dial and bracelet) two years and a half ago. Everything works perfectly I love it and I don't care about that people are talking about thickness, bracelet rivets...they seems like parrots.
Randy I love your content on both channels as I’m both a watch and audio enthusiast. Been collecting watches for 30 years, ever since my first watch at age 12. My wife gifted me the BB GMT black dial for our 10th wedding anniversary and it’s the absolute favorite in my collection of over 50 and counting - I love the size, the aluminum bezel, the hands, fake rivets, and how it IS NOT a Rolex which may be the best part - all of the benefits without the cachet/baggage. I tend toward micro brands but this one first me perfectly. The sentimental value is also tremendous. Thanks for always doing a great job, Randy. Hope to run in to you at one of the audio fests one of these days. Bravo.
Love Tudor watches. Thank you for your time and efforts to review and share this lovely watch. I use the GMT feature to remind me of the time difference to my children on another continent. Take care, brother.
Have the Tudor BB58. Love it.. Great watch.. Will eventually get the BB gmt black dial. Seen pre-owned ones go for around 3k with box/papers. That's a killer deal.
Yes, I'm totally with you on the date - No date isn't a deal breaker on a watch, but when I'm spending serious money, I don't want any compromises. If I get a Tudor, it'll probably have to be the GMT for that reason.
I agree the indices need to be bigger to fill the dial better. Case needs to be thinner. Fourteen-point-five is way too thick for me. It would have to be under 13mm for me to consider it at all. Prefer brushed finishing on the case sides. Other than that, I think it looks good.
I picked it up in 2023. The opaline dial is beautiful. I hate the fact that it doesn’t have a Tfit on the fly adjustment. Come on Tudor. I put a rubber Zelande strap with a depth clasp. It’s blue and looks great
I have mine for almost a year and it beautiful. It’s my fake Rolex white gold meteorite. Lol. I have three other Tudors, Pelagos 42 blue date, BB 41, and Pro. Yeah I’m a fanboy. They need tfit
I've had the original black dial over a year now and love it. Although if they had this white dial version when I bought it I would have got the white dial.
I went to my AD to try on the GMT expecting to love it and right away I noticed that the indices felt a little too small in person. Not something I noticed in photos. They only had the black but I think I'd way prefer opaline. Since it'd be my first expensive watch, I couldn't quite pull the trigger. I then tried on a green Seamaster 300M on the bracelet and absolutely loved it. The green was amazing in person and I agree that the design overall just felt much more complete. Both awesome watches.
What a great review - the best imo on the GMT opaline. I own both Tudor GMT's and love them, even owning a Rolex 1675 and a current Rolex GMT BLRO. Tudor has their own style and it justifies owning one (or more) besides Rolex.
I would also argue that although I like the look of the GMT opaline dial on a bracelet way more than the nato strap, it definitely feels better on that nato. Lighter and more versatile.
My Black Bay GMT S&G is one of my favorite watches. I love the new Opaline but am hanging on to my "root beer" for now. Totally agree with you about the logos and text could be bigger on the dial.
Nice review, I love the Tudor as it’s just a bit different. And fyi when you’re referring to the indices, it’s simply ‘index’ when you refer to a singular and indices when it’s more than one 👍
Your opinion is your own, but you’re the first person I’ve ever seen complain about female end links and less text on a dial. Still a quality review. It’s either this, the GMT pro or the new Lorier GMT
This Tudor watch is quite thick, it is 14.6mm thick. I highly recommend to try wearing it and then decide. It was too thick for my taste and the reason I did not buy it. If you like it and are comfortable wearing it on your wrist then by all means buy it as it is a very good value for a high quality GMT watch. The Tudor Black Bay GMT (model M79830RB-0001) lists for $4,375.
love my opaline gmt - agree with the indices - i have been wearing the blue pelagos for 4 years and so switching to the gmt the indices are way smaller - more dressier though!
I feel most people not pick on watches with no real criticism. Haters gonna hate but when you’re sending $4000 it’s a big deal. Most families in America can’t even get $500 together. So if you’re in a position to buy this watch be proud and wear it with confidence it’s gorgeous.
Did you find a bunch of Spanish gold at the bottom of the sea on your term as a "submariner". ? jeezuz Navy! it's called the Cheap Watch Man................Beat Navy!
Hello in my opinion is the crystal a double domed. I like the channel and i have the same style of watches and for sure i like submarines. My best looking sub is the 7 c boat. Have you seen the film. "Das Boot" ore the best american film gray lady down. And red october. All greetings. Thank you for your good contend.
I had black version. My wrist is 7.5 inches, 41 mm is my prefered dimension and I didn't mind slabbed side look, but the wearability of this watch is awful. It's just too chunky and heavy, always fighting with it, also, bracelet was pulling my arm hair, sold it in the end.
I could have bought the Deep Sea at retail and didn’t take it. Too heavy. Pointless heavy watch. The Omega has that huge wart that ruins the watch. A 55 hour power reserve on the Omega isn’t good enough for a luxury watch. The Tudor is nice for the price. The movement keeps wonderful time and the 70 hour power reserve, should be the minimum for a luxury watch.
Tudors were way better when they looked like a Rolex and they had the rose logo. A Tudor submariner with mercedes hands and a rose dial just looks so much better than anything they make now.
I think you are 100% correct on slightly bigger indicies. I love the white opaline dial, but it does seem a bit empty. I hope this watch gets a bit of a makeover in a year or two, and they make it a bit thinner with bigger indicies and their t-fit clasp. That would be legendary. ❤
I bought the black dial version for my 35th. I love it.
The increasingly not so affordable watch channel! Seriously though, I really enjoy your reviews. That's a beautiful watch!

Gots. But I had to put on a nice NATO. Strap just works better for a utility watch.
Love Tudor watches. Thank you for your time and efforts to review and share this lovely watch. I use the GMT feature to remind me of the time difference to my children on another continent. Take care, brother.
Thanks Simon!

The cheap watch man showing off his $20K+ cheap collection! 😁💲
The man definitely likes his divers.
This is not a diver!

I've got one inbound. Can't wait.

Great video. Totally agree about Tudor’s lack of attention to dial proportions.
I'm starting a UA-cam cooking channel. It's called The Cheap Meal Man. My first episode I'm cooking Wagyu steak and Maine Lobster.
Lack of date and adjustment clasp is why I sold my BB. They now remedied the clasp, all I need is a date and I’ll pick up another.
I have the discontinued Tudor black bay heritage 41mm all steel and it has a date and it is an awesome watch😉👍👍👍
What a great review - the best imo on the GMT opaline. I own both Tudor GMT's and love them, even owning a Rolex 1675 and a current Rolex GMT BLRO. Tudor has their own style and it justifies owning one (or more) besides Rolex.

For the price, The Tudor is a fantastic value, especially if you view the understated old-school design as a plus .
My Black Bay GMT S&G is one of my favorite watches. I love the new Opaline but am hanging on to my "root beer" for now. Totally agree with you about the logos and text could be bigger on the dial.
I really want one of these but they are just so thick.
Nice review, I love the Tudor as it’s just a bit different. And fyi when you’re referring to the indices, it’s simply ‘index’ when you refer to a singular and indices when it’s more than one 👍
Finally learnt something from a UA-cam comment, thanks

Love your audio channel, and love watches, stoked to subscribe to your new channel, thanks for the content my dude, Looking forward to more 🙂
The reason it sounds bad is because the singular form of indices is index. Cheers!
love my opaline gmt - agree with the indices - i have been wearing the blue pelagos for 4 years and so switching to the gmt the indices are way smaller - more dressier though!
“Cheap Watch Man” video shows a Tudor, Rolex and Omega. 🤣
That’s because they ain’t to expensive in the luxury watch world
Idk you can called it “cheap watch man” a $4000 + watch
You should take a look at the new Longines Hydroconquest GMT release!
I agree. The Hydroconquest is just as good as BLACKBAY 58 or better
I've got the San Martin homage of this watch and love it. I can't really afford $4,000 watch.
I agree on the date function. I would love the option on the 58 and Pelagos 39
What do you think about the Invicta Grand Diver?
I feel most people not pick on watches with no real criticism. Haters gonna hate but when you’re sending $4000 it’s a big deal. Most families in America can’t even get $500 together. So if you’re in a position to buy this watch be proud and wear it with confidence it’s gorgeous.
I love my BB GMT S&G with leather strap
Great value I love my black bay GMT
Did you find a bunch of Spanish gold at the bottom of the sea on your term as a "submariner". ? jeezuz Navy! it's called the Cheap Watch Man................Beat Navy!
when he rubbed the omega with the tudor in which the sides are polished all i heard was SCRAATTCCCHHH 😆☠
Hey Subby, I still wear burgundy trousers, dress pants, corduroy, and chinos, they work outside of the 80s sir, btw I was born in 89 😂
No date on BB58 is a bummer. Otherwise great
My Black Bay 41mm Heritage has a date bro
2:57 'let's talk about the dial' ... then goes on to talk about the bracelet.
Yeah. I’m terrible we this. If you didn’t figure that out yet

Please clean that watch man! So tough looking at that aluminum bezel when it’s full of crud. Just saying.
Q Timex Reissue white dial alternative :)
The date function is important to me, its hard for me to have a 3 hand watch and I need to look at my phone for the date.
it has a date window
Is it not very high?
Thick?
The bracelet colour not matching the head of the watch is a big deal and a sign of terrible quality lol
This watch screams Gen X!

The man likes his divers. What can you say. 😂.

Tudor is a poor man’s Rolex 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It needs to be thinner, then (and only then) it’s a winner.
LoL slaberrific
One issue for me is how thick it is
14.5mm. The Rolex is 12.5. 14.5 is a bit clunky for a daily
Nice watch but if you are not 6' 3" and above with an 8" wrist it looks like you duct taped a brick on your wrist
Longines Spirit Zulu Time is better-looking, IMO (more of a GADA), and costs less.
It’s a gorgeous watch. I want one
For a cheap watch man, you have some expensive watches! Lol. All very nice, but I wouldn't consider them cheap.
you spend more on your snobby watches than having good audio equipment 🤔 .
Junghans, Laco, or grand seiko instead
Gotta change up the scene change music. Your videos are great but it’s tiring. No disrespect.
$200 for the nato? Damn.
It was the really the buckle I was after. The buckle is the shield and I really liked it on my other Tudor
Way too thick
Me, I don't like GMT feature.
...even if it's a TUDOR...
Too big too thick and too poor Rolex
Rubbish! Rolex is a Man with more money than senses Tudor!
Same movement !!
I just don't like a watch like this without crown guards.
Tudors were way better when they looked like a Rolex and they had the rose logo. A Tudor submariner with mercedes hands and a rose dial just looks so much better than anything they make now.
Nice video. Just and FYI -- one is an index; more than one are indices. ; -)
Too long man!! You need to get moving! Sorry pal
Much prefer the San Martin homage of the Tudor BB GMT pepsi. Much better wearability.
Don't compare that crap with a true watch, please.
I can no longer relate to this man
Cheap?
Cheaper than a Rolex or a omega
@@cheapwatchman_official I guess it’s all relative.
@@cheapwatchman_officialnot cheaper, less expensive!☺️
Tudor is a poor man’s Rolex. Nothing spectacular and overrated 😂😂😂😂😂
Yawn, yawn, yawn, and yes I do own both.
@@richardbrown8099 Good for you. Tudor is still a poor man’s Rolex yawn 🥱 yawn 🥱😜
