    The traveling Princess is such a good co travel advisor, she picks the right moment to interject. And she's a good sharer, loved how she offer daddy some of her popsicle. Those cheery blossoms were beautiful and Mt. Fuji 🗻 is certainly a sight to behold. The seafood bow looked yummy.

    It's very interesting how there are two hotels with very similar names very close to each other. The Ito area looks really neat. I love those views from the top of Mount Omuro!

    Can you advise if it’s safe for me, first time driving in Japan (female driver!) to drive along East coast of Izu? Plan to visit (hotel is in Ito) to visit Mt Omuro, Kawazu falls, Ryugu caves, Irozaki cape over 2 days in May 2024. I was told it’s safer to drive along the coast, not across the peninsula where it’s more mountainous & windy. Appreciate your help

      Hi Gina. Yeah. The roads around the coast are pretty easy and tame

    Hi YP. I just got a notification from MGM that their Vegas hotels are switching from Hyatt to Marriott. I carry the Bonvoy Brilliant card, so this is exciting news for me. Any chances of getting a video in the coming weeks on how status matching will work? The email I got says it starts in October. I scrolled through the FAQ but didn’t see anything about status matching or rewards benefits for existing Bonvoy members. I’ve never used status-matching before, but I trust your content so if you could educate us once details are released I’d be so grateful. TIA! 😊

    I’m a newbie family traveler and I always wonder, how do you deal with baby/toddler car seats in taxis when traveling internationally? Or is it something you don’t have to worry about.

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  11 місяців тому +1

      In "most" places around the world you don't need a car seat in a taxi. There are some cities that are an exception to that. Los Angeles in particular requires car seats in taxis. So we rent a car in that case

    Japan driving has zero alcohol policy

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  11 місяців тому +1

      It's not "zero" alcohol.. The criteria for driving under the influence of alcohol are 0.3mg in 1ml of blood or 0.15ml in 1L of breath.. I actually didn't drink much of my beer. And we waited plenty of time before getting back on the road. That's the thing about vlogging. We spend way more time hanging around shooting video that the average person

    Curious….Did the prevalence of Sashimi bowls actually get your wife to swear off Sashimi? (Also curious about why OC Girl never makes a cameo appearance…your choice? Hers? Or mutual decision?)

    • @YellowProductions
      @YellowProductions  11 місяців тому +1

      Hah. No. She still likes Sashimi bowls :). And it's her decision. She likes to be behind rather than in front of the video camera. Photos are another story so you can see all the photos see takes with her on it on her Facebook page ocgirl.notebook

      The off-limits third bed is strange. This is the first time I’ve seen that. It’s a ryokan (priced per person) but I think they should’ve removed the bed. Make it worth the effort for 5000 yen charge. Regarding Mt. Omuro, the tour bus contradicts my next question, but was this on a Friday? The lift is closed on Friday. I made the mistake of not checking the hours of a tourist attraction…

    Chris, did you have a designated driver? It is a big offense to have any alcohol on your breath or in your system when you are behind the wheel.

      I'm a pretty big dude... less than one beer and waiting an hour drops my BAC significantly below Japan's legal limit.

    You can't have a drink in Japan and drive after. Legal limit is 0% alcohol in your system.
