    Great looking rig. You must have some incredible adventures and stories 👍💪🛠
    You made a good point in reference to the steel tray. You have the weight carrying capacity so definitely an advantage over aluminum and repairs made in the field. 🛠👍

      Thanks! Yes, the steel tray's the way to go if you can afford the extra weight. Cheers, Andrew

      Thanks Robert! It uses about 18.5 to 20 litres/100km. We're happy with this, as it's 6.6 tonnes with full fuel and water tanks. Regards, Andrew

    Love the build, after having my heart set on a unimog I'm starting to think I should go something like this.

      Hey Paul haha that sounds exactly like my journey - I am looking at a Elf or Canter right now.

      Unimogs are a proper 4x4 but depends on what your purpose is.

      GuntherSnaps they were supplied by All Terrain Warriors, located on the Sunshine Coast QLD. They’re a fantastic idea, as they allow the chassis to flex under the tray, plus the tray doesn’t crack because it moves independently. Highly recommend. Cheers, Andrew

    Love your truck! We have a 2005 FG Canter with a Slide-On Camper.
    Have you used your winches yet? We are debating to either install a winch or another water tank up front to put some more weight forward but are worried about a winch being able to pull our 6Tons. We have noted your parabolic springs and gas shocks preference over a suspension seat which we agree with (Not sure of costs yet). Would love to install single rear wheels but how much does one spend! Yet to try (and suitably nervous about) the duals on the sand. If we get bogged I don’t expect any volunteers to help pull our lump out! Anyway thanks for sharing your video.

      Hi,
      No we haven’t used the winches yet (I’ll be happy if we never do!). The singles are great off road, highly recommend. Enjoy your travels. Cheers, Andrew

    Hi Andrew , I’m so envious, hey mate what’s the range and cruising speed , and have you towed with it , I’m seriously thinking of dicing my landcruiser , I can’t carry anything

      Hi, Thanks! The range is about 1,000 - 1,200 km (18 - 20 L/100km). I haven't towed with it, but plenty of people do tow caravans, etc. Yes the payload was a big selling point for us too. Cheers, Andrew

    Hi Andrew do these isuzu's use a divorced transfer case or is it part of the gearbox? thanks George

    • @topwiretraveller
      @topwiretraveller  4 роки тому

      George Van Schalkwyk it hangs off the side of the gearbox as a separate transfer case, not integrated into the gearbox. Cheers, Andrew
