I actually kind of liked HETALIA. Yes, it could be offensive, but I was intrigued by the Japanese perspective on world history, especially the United States. It was refreshing to see a show when the US is a bit player, and not the center of everything. I told a Swiss friend of mine about it, and she was appalled, but when I got her to watch the Lichtenstein episode, she laughed and said she agreed with it. 😄
The mangaka of Kodomo no Jikan actually finished the book before it got dropped. And the ending leaves a lot of questions. To be honest, Queen's Blade should be a field test for NNN.
To be honest, if they did keep to the source material..then this would be higher on the list..I've read the the manga and somehow left scratching my head on how it still aired in Japan!!

I actually read the whole thing, and at first it was uncomfortable but it felt like it was going to end up wholesome at the end... then it just goes all in on the skeeviness. Protagonist just decides "eff it" after putting in so much effort to try to actually be a decent guy. Can't think of anything I've actually consumed that was more disappointing in regards to character development. On the same lines as I understand Usagi Drop goes at the end.

Subject matter was enhanced by the writer's mastery of words and the world would be a much darker place without his works like Lolita, Laughter in the Dark or Queen King Knave.... I think of Anime in the same vein. I'm a father of two kids, boy and girl. Some of this stuff, I agree is really questionable. However what is real and what is not real must apply across the board or else it is discrimination, plain and simple. Freedom and Liberty is more than just what is legally acceptable, but also what is legally unacceptable. Freedom is the liberty to choose between the two based on your own subjective opinion. Banning simply makes no sense and my real fear is that for a channel this large to suggest banning only opens the door to the type of thought policing that the U.S. Supreme Court was deeply concerned Ashcroft v. The Free Speech Coalition (2002) Maybe I'm taking this whole thing too seriously but virtue signaling does bother me as it demands censorship on ideas in the abstract. Still, I like the way that you tackled the subject. It wasn't overly righteous.
I agree with this, some of those titles are definitely disgusting, but stuff like Keijo? If they are tagged there is literally no need to ban them, Aslong as they show what it contains, most people will just avoid it, and like you said. It’s ideas, they are drawings and not real.

Rin is not "awake" sexually but like most children of her age, she is aware of its existence, she perceives that adults are afraid and appropriate it to have a means of pressure and challenge authority. She is also looking for an alternative reassuring figure, more mature than her cousin/tutor who is just over 18 years old and turns to her teacher, outside the family/friendly and less authoritarian framework, where she can express herself more and escape after the death of her mother. In Japan, it is not the role of the teacher or police officer to intervene in the family setting and help in case of difficulty. There is a culture of secrecy. And as with sexual assault, it makes things worse. Despite the risks for his career, Daisuke, the teacher, does not abandon this "problematic" child and seeks to establish a dialogue.

So. I read the manga for Kodomo no Jikan a long time ago. It actually does have some good moments in there, but yeah uhhhh, it's nothing special and you'd need to look past the...other stuff. Funnily enough, I actually kind of relate Rin on a certain level, HEAR ME OUT- She very likely has a case of hypersexuality, it's a very serious and sad thing that many victims of sexual assault end up getting. Sorry for the darker topic, but, idk, I feel like it's an overlooked illness I wish media could explore more, but done so respectfully, because this series obviously wasn't going that route, but Rin is probably one of the closest I've seen for this particular illness that I myself had to overcome. So I sort of, in a way, found some enjoyment in this manga for that aspect. Though the ending really fucked up because yeah the teacher guy waits until she becomes 16 and they do fuck. Hetalia is THE series that got me into anime. It wasn't my first anime. But it was what really got me into it. But tbh it was mostly the darker fanfictions that I loved. It had some real gnarly ass fanfics that would make me cry back in the day. I'm like one of the only Aki Sora enjoyers idk I found it hot lmao.
Kite *WAS* banned. Don't know how it got in *un-banned* status to be *re-banned.* We could only watch the version that was cut up (edited) so badly - it was only about 30 mins long.

I'm not sure if your jocking. Kodo chan I agree is a uncomfortable watch. But at it's core, it's about a teacher and his attempts to help a emotinally desturbed student. If you watch the show. I know hard ask for someone to watch something or interact with it before judging it. The teacher never recipicates the kids feelings and actually ends up with the other teacher. The girl acts like this because of her abscent parents and unhappy home life, which caused her to latch onto the main character. It's not a great anime by any means but it does handle the story with tack;
The kite anime was really a 12 part series. The unbanned version wa 2 episodes due to heavy censoship. The live action pretty much butchered the story like most do. With an open mind the original kite if you can find it, its a good series.
I disagree with the Hetalia bit. I remember it being beloved when I was in high school, like 10 years ago. I dont think it was made to be taken seriously, it was a fun way to learn of certain events and dumb stereotypes

So. I read the manga for Kodomo no Jikan a long time ago. It actually does have some good moments in there, but yeah uhhhh, it's nothing special and you'd need to look past the...other stuff. Funnily enough, I actually kind of relate Rin on a certain level, HEAR ME OUT- She very likely has a case of hypersexuality, it's a very serious and sad thing that many victims of sexual assault end up getting. Sorry for the darker topic, but, idk, I feel like it's an overlooked illness I wish media could explore more, but done so respectfully, because this series obviously wasn't going that route, but Rin is probably one of the closest I've seen for this particular illness that I myself had to overcome. So I sort of, in a way, found some enjoyment in this manga for that aspect. Though the ending really fucked up because yeah the teacher guy waits until she becomes 16 and they do fuck.
Hetalia is THE series that got me into anime. It wasn't my first anime. But it was what really got me into it. But tbh it was mostly the darker fanfictions that I loved. It had some real gnarly ass fanfics that would make me cry back in the day.

The part that confuses me is the only two that makes you sick for someone likeing are at the 10 and 9 spot respectively, it comes of as weird imo, I don't think any of these should be baned as regardless of themes they are rooted in obvious fiction that has no comparison to reality. Kodo chan I agree is a uncomfortable watch. But at it's core, it's about a teacher and his attempts to help a emotinally desturbed student. If you watch the show. I know hard ask for someone to watch something or interact with it before judging it. The teacher never recipicates the kids feelings and actually ends up with the other teacher. The girl acts like this because of her abscent parents and unhappy home life, which caused her to latch onto the main character. It's not a great anime by any means but it does handle the story with tack;

The kite anime was really a 12 part series. The unbanned version wa 2 episodes due to heavy censoship. The live action pretty much butchered the story like most do. With an open mind the original kite if you can find it, its a good series.

I disagree with the Hetalia bit. I remember it being beloved when I was in high school, like 10 years ago. I dont think it was made to be taken seriously, it was a fun way to learn of certain events and dumb stereotypes

Illya is a mahou shoujo anime. Yes, there is quite a lot of blatant loli fanservice in the later seasons but that is not and never was the central focus, and you framing it as such is deliberately misleading and you should be ashamed of yourself. If you want people to take you seriously then don't make bad faith arguments.

honestly if you are traumatized by these anime than i would say stick to fantasy comedy genre and fyi that bunny scene from blood c is nothing compared to re zero bunny scene that is traumatizing other than that yes mostly all anime on this list are not for kids and honestly anime in general sense are not for kids we got cartoons for kids and anime for the mature audience we got anime now there are some anime out there that do kinda hang on the thin line of h3nti and anime in recent years new anime that hang on that thin line have been coming out like "Redo of healer" and "Harem in the labyrinth of another world" "High school dxd" and God knows how many more that are under the radar that and hang on that thin very thin line on going to the h3nti side or on anime side i am a big fan of Fate series but i agree that fate kaleid was kinda a mistake (in my opinion) since it kinda left a bad mark on the franchise but i cant hate it cus of the story of fate kalied is not that bad best part of it is kaleid universe shirou i mean he is a freaken bad ass with little sister complex but i mean he is cool so anyway good list nothing too disturbing
