    The editing in Chefs Table is spell bounding. This particular episode goes even further beyond. The final build up with dramatic music is fantastic. Excellent job Netflix.

    I (without shame) watched the final 5 minutes of this episode twice, with tears in my eyes, largely due to the unbelievable skill with which this was shot, and then perfectly weaved together. Francis, the director, DP, editor, grader, pa's, catering people, etc. all deserve emmy awards.
    Thanks for this wonderful series, and this episode in particular, Netflix.

    This is the only episode where I genuinely connected with the chef. I was taken back with how comfortable he was with being alone. He seemed like a man who was okay with meeting people and quickly saying goodbye. The story about his friend who he stopped seeing and then saw again resonated with me. He was upfront and told him he bored him. And then he has multiple women. And he left the comfort of his restaurant. I get the feeling he caused a lot of pain, but he is okay with that. I can't explain it. He just has a certain aura that I really admire. Wish I could be like him. I care too much for people.

      Such a great an amazing Chef, but unfortunately he loves himself so much that his humanity is lost, being an Argentinian, he doesn’t care about the kids in his country or its future, it’s all about him self and buying himself top cars and designer clothes, it’s all about his ego, and fair enough, but with all his greed, does he actually do anything for his country? For its Children? Does he care about his community? I haven’t seen one show of Francis giving back to the community and helping out with his greed so many people in his Country that he talks so much about, why isn’t he present with his people? He’s NOT FRENCH, but he’s head is well up his arse, as if he’s been active in the community and been involved in Charity, all his words are of ignorant self indulgence unfortunately, his beautiful things are all selfish views while his country goes downhill and no charitable acts are ever chowing in his selfish videos

      100% agree, ive watched it about 5 times now. It's such a romantic episode, the way the foods cooked with fire, the wine, the poetry, the serenity and ambience that engulfs the episode is like butter, it melts and gives a strong sense of saudade. Playing guitar and cooking off the side of a dingy. Could it get any more serene. This 7 fires food magician is definitely one of my faves.

    he learned nouvelle cuisine in france with bocuse and other top chefs. he later decided he wasnt gonna make a "cover" of french cooking, so he went the opposite way, to traditional argentine country cooking, but cooking with fire is universally essencial too. he is one of the only 4 in the americas to hold a grand prix de la cuisine, the highest prize for a chef. he got it cooking potatoes, probably seared in that iron plate. his restaurants dont have michelin stars. he wrote the best grilling book in the world,according to gourmand.

    An amazing chef that it’s all about him, in all his years NEVER has he done anything charitable, showing how great Argentina is, but what has he ever done for it’s people or at least kids in need, why doesn’t he do a show where he feeds kids who are in an orphanage or in the streets, he could feed hundreds of kids just with the clothes he buys, maybe thousands with his unnecessary Range Rover, I hate to see such people with such an advantage be so selfish and arrogant

      bluetextonwhitebg Actually, one of the best. Decades ago he was the first non european to be awarded with the maximum degree of culinary expertise in france. Then one day he said "f_* it" and developed a whole new cuisine based on "burned/smoky" aspects and patagonian argentinian tradition. He can barbecue like no other, but it goes way beyond that.

    • @shonix123
      @shonix123 4 роки тому

      Smoked food is the best as an argentinian is an everyday cuisine. Cooking with brics and wood you should know more of cuisine than Ramsay and another reality tv cheffs is a crafted art because that cooking takes time and you should treat well the meat. If you want to lesrn this you should work in argentina for 1 year in a Parrilla like Saltbae did and he mastered his bbq knowledge
