Early in career , used to do with filler composed of the same seal rubber material shavings dissolved in acetone. Then after application and holding in a vulcanising tool (sometimes activator was added to the filler material) For final curing wait upto 12 hours. Later in career, Cut it and join it , with loctite 407, it works better and faster than araldite. No curing time, instant curing. Also cut is made angular 30 to 45deg in such a way it follows the general direction of rotation and not straight. (Radial line). Also to make the cut a very sharp box cutting knife blade is sufficient. It works like a charm

In my opinion this is wrong when he first cut and then mounting in holder...
If he is mounting on holder how will he make a cut, bottom surface on holder , maybe only top surface available for cutting
@@PramodKumarSahu I have done this dozens of times. The device allows you to cut the ring completely.
