Vote below 😍 1 or 2? Which do YOU pick?
Ps. Thanks so much for watching. Hope you enjoyed and found it helpful. Much love✨
I can't choose both of them are really awesome 😅
@@artofjesskarp Both are great, but 2 has such a unique feel. 2!
@@aslamhashmi2086thanks!
I think that 2nd is…. No I can’t choose 😅

#1! I love the warm colors. It's like a hug, but number 2 has a magical quality about it!
Thank you!!
Same!
I love that it’s almost like winter vs summer and they both have a very different feeling 🥰
Thanks!!
My vote is 2! The first one is stunning, of course. But there is something so unique and unconventional about 2 that I can’t look away. That’s how art should be, making us think, provoking new emotions and thoughts. ❤
Thank you!
I love two for the challange it gives, i think since theyre closer in range to each other compared to one. I think one is a classic pallette, i think both allow a great lesson about colors. Love your work!❤
Thank you!
2! Mostly because 2 was an interesting reminder that when you do this exercise, you don't have to use EVERY shade of the color wheel (and because it's beautiful).
Thank you!
Both are so good… but the second one- wow! I didn’t expect to like this one as much as the primary colors … but I actually like it better! This is such a great idea to challenge ourselves to do the same paintings in a few limited palettes . Thanks for this great idea!
I know! It’s always fun to try something new 😊 thanks also for the kind words and for watching!
Both are because one looks like a summer day, and the other like a winter one. Also, the second one looks like a Summer Night. But both do look very pretty. 😇👍❤️
Thanks for sharing!! Thanks for watching :)
jess we want more videos like this from you
2
Yayyy
I love them both, but I prefer #1. I think it would be fun to do a third one and then display them next to each other as a set of paintings.
Thank you!
1:18 already appreciate how you showed us the process and steps you took to get to the completed color palette. The template is very helpful! I have learned so much from your videos over the past year. Thank you!!!
Glad it was helpful! Thanks for your support!
I love love love both but the one with the warm yellow in it just POPS.
Thanks!!
#2 for me...cos the colours eent so well together....the hues really popped in contrast to each other
Thank you!
#1 is my favorite!! I tend to lean more towards warm tones as well. I did lobe how you approached #2. As you were mixing the wheel I was trying to think how I would choose which colors would be what (highlights v. Shadows, etc.) I think I need to try this exercise too!
Thank you so much and yes go for it!!
I really like these limited colour palette videos. Really like both and the feeling that both convey, 1 being a more summer evening feel, and nr 2 being more of a winter morning one. But for me nr one has more contrast and is the winner, by a nose length.
After the previous video I was inspired and made a digital drawing using a limited palette of a dark blue grey, a reddish brown and a dark green. It turned out great.
Thank you so much thats awesome!!
I actually love the 2nd one more. It looks like a winter wonderland!
Thanks!!
I like them both, but prefer the warm color pallet. Thanks Jess! I love your videos and your creative spirit!
Oh thank you!
1 for the brightness that is working better with the subject. Thank you !
Thank you!
I love both ! I can’t even consider choosing because they are each extremely unique and they are both so full of magic and life 🩵🩵
Also I love your top Jess it’s beautiful! It went perfect with the first colour palette especially 🎨
Thank you!
Great experiment. Your color sense and draftsmanship are really good. God bless you!
Thank you!
I love both, but the warm palette painting is my favourite, its so radiant and gives such a cosy and inviting atmosphere!!
Thank you!! :)
@artofjesskarp woah I didn't think u were going to reply. Lol
Wow! whatever you create turns out to be a masterpiece for me. you are beyond inspiration. 😊
🥹 wow thank you!
I like 1. 2 reminds me more of an early morning version.
Thank you!
#2 is so cool, I'm most definitely a cooler color kind of person and something about that one just POPS! Love it!
Thank you!
Beautifully done, they each convey a different emotion and(or) feeling. I've always loved autumn colors so I'm partial to #1.
Thank you!
I love 💕 both results that are amazing & I definitely learned a lot from your study. This was sup helpful. As I love 💕 vibrant colors I love the first (1st) one more!
Thank you!
@@artofjesskarp You’re welcomed!
I love both. One has a mid to late Fall vibe, while two has a early Spring one.
Thank you!
#1 because of the warmth but love the way the cool colors give the scene a whole different feel. Beautiful!
Thank you!
I love #2 the best
Thank you!
1 & 2, 1 for the plays of light & movement, 2 for the seasonal shift & textures... A+ Gold Star !
Thanks!
Loved the video. I normally go for a warmer pallet, so I would go with one. But also love the second one as well :) Have an amazing week.
Thank you!
#2 if I were to choose one put on my wall I’d go with the first but the second is a fsntastic reminder that values matter more than colours.
Thank you!!
The blue one is better only because you practiced with the Yellow/Green one 1st. But they'er both really good.
Thank you!
Both are amazing and but I love the warm mood and the golden light of #1 ! Great exercice, so inspiring ✨
Thank you so much!
#2 because it is so different. It looks lit up under a brilliant moon.
Thank you!
I love them both but 2 is so different ad so magical I am voting for that one
Thank you
I really appreciate you doing multiple videos on paintings. I’ve watched all your others multiple times and find them very helpful. I recently bought some of Goldens fluorescent colors that I’ve been eyeing for years and never knew what to do with. Maybe I will try this out with them and do a very very vibrant painting
That’s so cool thanks! Go for it !!
Wow- I could watch a million videos like this!
Thank you!
HI, both are nice but the #2 has a mystical approach. Very eye captivating and a calm aurora to it. I would definite go for number 2 :)
Thank you!
Thanks for this video and exercise!
Both palettes are working but I think I like #2 better because it looks like a Fairy tale landscape.
Thank you!
With them both next to each other I find myself drawn to seasonal changes and thus wanting two more to round them out. Both are lovely, though I find myself leaning towards #1.
Thank you!
Thank you so so much...so informative and opening a door to unlimited news ideas and views on colours...vs limited colours to start with...those blues on #2 will be useful for me being from up North where i will be doing a lot of Winter in the forest theme projects. You are so so talented...thank you for teaching us...
You're very welcome! I'm glad you found it helpful. Thanks!
I love both, but the warm palette (top) is my most favorite. #1!!
Thanks!
I always felt so intimidated by mixing my own colors. But once I actually tried it, I had so much fun. What felt stressful turned out to be so relaxing. Thanks for all the inspiration!
I know exactly what you mean! It’s so empowering. Thanks for sharing and I’m so glad to know! Have a lovely day
Love the bright warm palette. Cool one had more drama. ❤
Thanks!
I loved 1 so much, but then you did the second and wow! The colors spoke to me! My vote goes to #2
Thank you so very much
Love them both, but two has my vote!
Thank you!!
I love the page in its totality. My preferred color palette is #2 ❤
Thank you!
Love both but I have to say 1 takes it. Something about the warm colors that draws me in
Thanks💛
Surprisingly the first one! Great job!
Thank you! Cheers!
Both looks absolutely amazingly beautiful 😍😍😍💞🤗💞😍😍😍
Thank you!
I prefer the first one but the second one is so different and cool, so I like it too 😄🥰
Thanks!
Both look amazing, I really can't choose!!
Thank you!!
I Like one the most. No. two got something too. Like some Magic in there. 🤗 But one is my favorite. ♥️
Thank you!!
Applause! Very wonderful studies. I believe I'm really drawn to the analogous variation. It's giving off a slight Thomas Kinkade feel. Which means you're two degrees away from James Gurney. So that means you're three degrees away from Frank Frazetta, whom I could totally see using the palette in the first piece! Perhaps I'm alone in this, but completely enjoyable to watch this process and as always, thank you for the inspiration!! Take care 💙💜💙
Thank you so much!!
Yes, a new video
Yaya
I absolutely LOOOOVE the 2nd one! I honestly didn’t expect it to look this good in the end! It reminds me of Art deco paintings something from Andy Warhol style!!
So glad you liked it! 😁 thanks so much!
They are both beautiful, but I’m drawn to number two. It’s amazing what you did with those colors. It makes me excited to go out there and try that myself.
Thank you so much!
Go for it!
@@artofjesskarp you’re very welcome 😊
I’m excited to try this with the different paints. I have in different colours to see what colours really that I’m drawn to. Thank you, Jess.
Yay another Jess karp video
Yay
Both look so beautiful ❤️
Thanks! 😊
honestly I can't choose they are both beautiful
Thank you!
The second one gave you a more dreaming and unreal result, I really love it. Though both are very good and charming ❤
Thank you! 😊
They are both gorgeous, but the bottom one has all my favourite colours and is absolutely stunning.
One thing I hate witth mixing primaries is trying to get nice purples. It's so difficult. The second colour set nailed the purples though ❤
Thank you so much !!💛
Both are fantastic! Because one shows as if it was summer/autumn, the other winter. But if I were to pick one, it would be #1 also! I miss the summer and the bridge looks awesome!
Thank you!!
@ Very welcome!
❤both look amazing very beautifully executed!
Thanks!!
I love all the colours from number 1 but number 2 just looks awesome! I usually find analogous colours more attractive and paint with them as the focus.
Thank you! Cheers!
#2 has my vote. I do like both paintings though. Thank you 😊
Thanks!
I love cool colours
Nr 2 is where it's at for me
Thanks!
😍😍😍😍😍 totally loved this tutorial 🥰
Thanks so much! 😊
Enjoyed your painting experiment. Both are nice but I’m gravitating toward the warmer color palette. Good color lesson, Thanks!
Thank you, I'm glad you liked the experiment!
Love them both. I want to take a walk into #1. Thanks.
Yes! Agreed thank you!
No.1 pops out at you initially but I find myself sitting with no.2 longer. 2 for the win !
Thank you!!
1! Both have a wonderful quality to them but I’m a sucker for warm colors. They feel inviting.
Thanks, I love warm colors too!
I really love both ! The second color wheel is so Monet-vibe
Yay, thank you!
Both 1 and 2! Each color paletts strike differently and feel unique in their own way. :) Hope to see more inspiring videos like this. Thanks Jess!
Thank you! Will do!
Both are so beautiful ❤️
Thank you!!
Love the vibrancy of number 2!
Thanks!!
Your videos are very inspiring ,thank you❤
Aw thank you so much!
This was interesting.. my fav color is blue but I preferred 1 over 2.. awesome work!!
Thanks so much!
Such a cool and interesting video. Pls do more videos like this one. It’s hard to pick one favorite but I’d have to pick # 1
Thank you
I like them both but I'll pick number 2 because harder it was
Thank you!
Hi Jess, both are beautiful, but I prefer the warm colors in #1!
Thank you!
#2 is beautiful and dreamy! While the first one looks more "natural," yellow is my least favorite color so I am personally drawn to the second.
Thank you!
#2! It's so unique and looks like a wonderland
Thank you!!
5:16 stunning❤ great details, techniques and I can't wait to try to apply what I have learned from this video to my practice this weekend
Wonderful! So glad!
1️⃣🟥🟨🟦Thank you for this series. I was debating commenting in the previous video how this speaks so well to the things Betty Edwards covers in Color.
Thank you!!
I like 1 so much and the warm and earthen Southern California colors surrounding what I believe is the beloved Moon Bridge in the Huntington Library garden near Pasadena. But then, it is the Moon bridge and 2 showcases more moon-inspired colors. If I can only choose one I will say 1 but look longingly at 2.
Thanks, that's a great observation!
It is in Pasadena at the Huntington Library :)
#1. I love a full spectrum but saying that I like #2 because of the monochromatic feel. I think #2 would be great for a winter scene.
Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed both!
I love the 2, the colors changed my view totally. ❤️
Thank you!!!
2. They are both beautiful, it is hard to choose
Thanks!
#1, but I can definitely see where there’s a market for number two. It’s a whole different thing that would appeal to a whole different aesthetic. This experiment was very interesting, thank you.
Fair enough! Thank you so much!
Use 2 for a night scene.... 1 is nice for this sun lit space
Thanks!!!
1 is lovely, but 2 is compelling...you want to keep exploring the painting. Have to choose 2❤
Thanks so much, I'm glad you liked the second palette!
Loved both but #1 for me
thanks so much :)
I love them both but #2 has all my favortites.
Thanks!!!
How do you decide which colour goes where like for light and shadows. Can you please make a detailed video about it!!
Thank you! I can definitely consider! If not I will have it a topic for a patreon live
I like 1, but I'd love to see you paint it with the colors that are more realistic for the scene itself for comparison.
Interesting! I'll keep that in mind for future videos.
1 seems more warm and inviting and 2 reminds me that it's only 20 degrees outside right now, so I have to go with 1.
Thank you!!! Haha
I love both, but personally I'm more drawn to #1 since it reminds me of a warm autumn day
Thank you so much!
It's a really interesting exercise that opens up a whole range of new perspectives. Working only from the model in black and white with a palette that's a little different from the usual gives amazing results. Thank you so much. I'll get started as soon as possible
I really want to see more videos using this type of technique.
Thank you!
