Jamie I love that you rotate your children’s toys. It doesn’t matter how many they have, just that they play with everything. My son had a lot but he played with EVERYTHING! I learned to rotate toys while working in childcare for 30 years. It works!
Also quick friendly tip when you’re cleaning the fruits, clean them with vinegar or baking soda, but never both. Vinegar and baking soda cancel each other out.
You are so sweet, relatable and humble. The girls' playroom is adorable, but the cherry on top was creating a relaxed patio where you and hubby can relax and unwind.

You definitely have the right idea of recycling the baskets, especially in areas that everyone isn't going to see. I move things around the house all of the time as I see better uses for them.
I live in NJ and I'm a mother of 3 toddlers a son that's 3 he's in Pre-K 3 this year and twins a boy and a girl that will be turning 2 on Thursday in September. I also make a check list of everything that I need to either get or that has to get done around the house. I find it easier for me to visually see what I need to do or get done. So the ones that I don't check off the list will getting done the next day. Like you said it's a marathon not a Sprint. I love that saying ❤😊.

Love that you reused the bins in the playroom! For sure we don’t always need new just for a different color!! And for the rug, I think it’s fine. It will look perfect once the table and chairs are in there but still totally fine now! 😊 love your spot for the toy rotation too! Otherwise kinda a dead space! So great use!!

Sometimes I think people in general no matter what room, it becomes too busy with too much decor. You don’t have to justify why someone would think you have too many toys either. Jamie it’s great to utilize what you had in the playroom. Kids grow so fast, no sense buying all new baskets in my opinion. Toys were a constant battle in our house but let me tell you, as an empty nester I miss those days! Great job!

I found your channel maybe a week ago? and I very quickly fell in love with it. I love what you do here, it has been very helpful with motivation, tips, hacks etc. I have been catching up on old vids and they have been so helpful. So thank you, I appreciate what you do here. I grew up in IL (about 30mins from Chicago) so I know what its like to be stuck inside for most of the year. Ive been in VA (currently VA Beach) since 2012. My husband is in the Navy so thats what brought us here. One of the things I miss most is a basement!!!!!! We dont have them here and seeing yours makes me miss it even more. LOVE patio space and the playroom looks great. As far as the amount of toys you def dont need to justify it at all. For ME and my house, as long as when its time to clean them up and they have a place to go I dont worry about the amount too much. But I also go through them randomly and donate or get rid of broken things as you did here. Thank you again for these vids! So excited to have found you.

Love love love the playroom! I think the rug with tables and chairs is a great idea. My kids like playing "restaurant" with their table and chairs. I do think if you could add a little color over the TV on the wall it would help. I think maybe a colorful little pom pom banner string or something. You could use command strips as well. Just a suggestion.
Jamie, I think your playroom rug is great! You can make a game up where you pull up a picture of an animal for example and they each take turns standing next to the letter that word starts with… a table can and will be used for many different things other than coloring. Puzzles, games, tea parties, playing school, etc! I would definitely get a good table with 3 chairs for your girls!!! They will love it !♥️

The rug in the playroom is perfect! A playroom should have some kind of childish rug, whether it's states, letters, animals, etc. Plus, when they outgrow the playroom, you can repurpose that rug for your classroom when you return to teaching (not sure what level of teaching you're certified or trained for, but that would be perfect in an elementary school classroom).

Hey Jamie! Have you ever considered putting your outdoor couch on the side of your porch instead of having the back facing your beautiful view? It would also eliminate blocking the view when sitting in the chairs! Or the chairs on the side and the couch along the house for the same reason? 🤍

Hi Jamie, as for the round rug in the twins play room, what I really like is the alphabet on it. Girls may use the alphabet to create their own games. They may also be inspired to play school, if they don’t already do that. Loved your video. You always make me smile. School starts next week for us. Summer vacation is over for me.

I have three little girls ages 9, 9, and 7. I tried a craft room, but they always wind up crafting in the kitchen. With that, I’d say no rug. The circle shape looks a little odd in that room, and a rug will add just one more thing to clean / vacuum. Cheers! 😊

I'm a huge list maker as well. I'm cleaning my floors and doing laundry today. I have 4 dogs and 2 of them get their nose prints on my windows and all 4 get my back door dirty. They are worse than the grandkids! I love the rug in the middle of the play room!

Loved the playroom fix! Makes me feel better about our playroom and all the things(knowing I’m not alone with all the stuff!) The letter rug is not for me by itself so I would say trying a little table with chairs over it would be cute. My girls are 9 and 12 so I still get a little uneasy with the 9 year old with crayons and markers!!

I retired from Meijer and I used to clean the bathrooms. I would put a micro fiber cloth on a Swifter and use baby oil to clean and shine the stalls. They really looked nice!

I always enjoy your videos and you motivate me to clean my house I just finished cleaning my kids playroom and so much toys and stuff . My 4 year old ask me why was I throwing away he’s toys so I explained him that some toys he doesn’t play we donate them and the toys that are broken we throw away and make room for new toys and he was helping me the whole time . Thank you for your video .
Another thought for toy rotation is to set a reminder on your phone for every other month or whenever you want to do the rotation… I can’t remember things like that either…

Hey Jamie, I love watching your videos. I got so many ideas from you. The other bedroom you could put a reading corner with lights and cushions that way you could leave when when of the girls goes in there plus you could put one in the fields room now too. Would look lovely with lights x
