Does anyone fill their tank before it even gets close to empty because they’re anxious about the gas light coming on? 😅
I used to 😭but now with gas prices I wait until it gets so low before I fill up
I’m too paranoid that my gas tank is lying to me so I always fill it up when it says I have a quarter tank left however I live very close to work so that’s the last me about three weeks
My car can go for about 400 miles and when I get down to about 70-80 I pump. I think the lowest I let it go was with 30-40 miles to go and that was stressful
My dad always taught me to have no less than 1/4 for safety reasons and getting stuck in traffic and such!
I rarely, very rarely, get below 25%. That makes me nervous but a couple times with gas being so expensive rn, I have gone til the light came on!
I feel like this really taught me how expensive doordash is in LA. When you said the meal prep was less expensive I was confused until I saw the doordash receipt. You go girl!!

@@LaurDIY I live in Phoenix & it's crazy expensive here too. Just realized the prices of each food item on the DD menu you order through Doordash from a restaurant is jacked up at the very least $2. Now there's a "convenience" charge on top of the other fees.
Meal prep is always less expensive than door dash

It’s crazy how much of a price difference there is in everything between LA and the east coast. On the east coast I pay $60 for a 15 gallon tank, while she almost pays double! 🤯

Heyy there chickie...from one Niagara chick to another. Have you considered flying into Buffalo instead of Toronto. It would be so much closer for your family to pick you up and could be a lot of cheaper and less stressful using a smaller airport

Having 3 kids under 10, we try to make sure we get gas when it gets about half way (especially during my last pregnancy that just ended) just incase we have any emergencies pop up. Which ends up, us having to get gas at least twice a week. One vehicle so I do all the shopping, taking kids to and from school, along with taking husband to work and picking him up as well.

My parents would yell at me when I got my first car at 16, if I was under half a tank. So now 6 years later. I still panic if I’m at half a tank or less.

I drive a truck so I usually don’t wait til it is really low I usually fill it up when it is half because it is now $200 dollar to fill it up completely if I did wait til it was completely empty. But I grew up making sure it doesn’t get bellow half. Because you never know what will happen and you will have the gas for emergency.
this taught me how expensive it is to live in LA tho i would never do it it was nice to see and also Lauren spent what i make in 4 month worth of paychecks in a week which is so crazy to see the different lives of different tax brackets

hey just want to give a heads up, the YYZ airport is in total chaos... I just came back from new york a couple days ago and the luggage reclaim process was a complete mess with luggages lying around unclaimed and people losing suitcases left and right. Just be prepared to spend a while trying to get luggage or just opt for carry on instead :)

I filled my gas up once and I always top it off as soon as it hits half because I would rather have it be full for 20 bucks vs it be half for 20!✌️😉

Tip for anyone who gets a new ear piercing and can’t sleep on that side for x amount of time. Get one of those claw hair clips and put it in your hair on the side you got your piercing before bed. So when you subconsciously go to roll over in the middle of the night it will hurt and you will roll back over to the other side.

BUT my husband makes 2600/mo so even then she spends more in a week than my husband's and mine COMBINED in a month! haha in her defense tho LA county is FRIGGIN expensive, just moved out of there 6 months ago and im so glad!

I’m currently privileged enough to work from home, so I only put about half a tank, which is $35 in my car every other week or so. With the price of everything being so high I don’t want my money tied up in gas in a car I don’t drive as much as when I worked in an office.
