    Last year (2020) Suncoast had two rooms at the Florida Audio expo (Tampa). In the main room (1st fl) the Magico M6s drew the crowd with it's expansive and dynamic presence. Their second room (on 6 or 7th fl) a pair of Fyne Audio F702 captured my attention. The brand was unknown to me then. For $9K the 702 were the steal of the show. Fyne Audio was founded by some of the main talent from Tannoy. The Scots do know how to deliver a great bank for your buck. Thanks Jay. It's great that you teamed up with Mike at Suncoast.

      Got my 702’s today. I purchased at sun coast and had the chance to hear the MAGICO 60k speaker and if given the space and money, would buy them in a heartbeat. In my real world audio the 702’s are the most human and musical I have encountered outside of ultra high end. While 9k is not inexpensive, they deliver at least 5x their retail. In addition don’t need megawatt amplification. My speaker unless the lottery pays out

    While there's more mids-and-up energy than I instinctively pursue, I have to admit, I'm quite pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this demo (over UA-cam). The system really "sings" and delivers a memorable musical experience.

      Totally wrong. In deed classee was almost dead and ruined by B&W when they bought the company chased away all employees and moved the facility to China. What was left was over priced garbage just like all B&W stuff. Only when B&W sold them in 2018 the old stuff came back and helped to make this product which is the first under the new ownership. And it is great. Just like classee was before B&W bought them.

    Jay, we need your comments on Classe's implementation of digital amplification. Not sure they are getting close to A - A/B highest standards of sound. Your take on these speakers a must too. Thanks for the delightful videos at Suncoast. 👍

    Not the last word in detail, but very musical. I still like the Pass Labs XS amp and Wilson combo you had perhaps a year ago.. Although, I bet this sounds amazing in person. Keep up the pursuit.

    Classee stereo amp ? They also have the monos and i see two units that just look like them. I also only see one VU meter on each unit. The monos have that. The stereo amp has two (for two channels obviously). I think they are not even turned on in this video because the VU meters do light up and move when played.

      @@thomass.9167 Yes, im actually using these videos from youtube to have hints what speakers i should go to audition in showroom for the system im building up. If the microphone is same between videos, and you know house sound of some brands/speakers, you can use that datapoint to compare what are for example: too bright for your taste, or more smooth enough for your taste.

    Let's see if this rig can handle hard rock or heavy metal. I agree, Jay, your channel does what others don't, but you play the same simple undemanding music on much pricier kit than the other UA-camrs do with much cheaper kit!

    Very interesting - I am listening on my Tannoy DC8T's at home. When the bass line comes it it's like a quiet thunder.... I do not hear this from the F704, listening on my reference quality headphones. This is probably the mic not picking up the low frequencies..... I can't imagine the F704 having a "lean" bass. I hope this is not the case, because I am getting a pair of F703's in a couple of days.

    Surprisingly good, wasn’t expecting such high frequency clarity and micro detail , I wonder if it need to be toed out a little, to get the mid balance better, very good deep soundstage worth further experimentation great video

    • @Andrew_from_Oz_Vinyl_Landscape
      @Andrew_from_Oz_Vinyl_Landscape 3 роки тому

      Having listened on my big system, I was surprised at the variation in the high frequency balance between tracks, the first seems way over the top, the second still high mid and treble tipped but less objectionable actually quite interesting , if the mids could be balanced with it, owning a Da2, there is a lot of information coming out of that DAC, and it needs to be carefully spectrally balanced or it can tip into high frequency overload , others have suggested it could be related to pushing the tweeter so low, which does make some sense to me be interested in Jays feedback actually being there ?

    Was comparing the sound of this video to that of the Kharma one and on thing is clear. These do base better the the Kharma, kind of logical since these are bigger but still. Overal i do like the sound of the kharmas better but i think its more of a component miss match on the Fyne Audio. If these would be setup with audioquest, gryphon etc we could have a real high performance setup going. I was shocked to see the price of these.... Jay i think you need to get these and experiment with them because i see some real potential here....

      Great amps? I had 2 DR2’s running in bridged mode with the DR7 preamp driving a pair of Tannoy Arundels a few years back. Traded the amps and preamp for the Classe’ CA-300 amp and CP-60 preamp...been using them ever since, with a pair of Pierre Etienne Epsilon speakers. Very engaging and none fatiguing sound, for all night sessions...enjoy your Classe’s!!!👌🎼

    Jay I'm curious why the latest demos are not being done in your own listening room. The current room is clearly more reverberant than your actual listen room.
    My ears will eventually adjust to the more reverberate environment.
    Did you decide to do this because of the amount of setup involved each time you bring new gear to your room
