The way i see it, LB in this fg genre is high art with little commercial potential. So for me it's hard to support the return of LB because it probably will have low chances of making a strong impact in this current fg scene. It failed even in the 90's and was overshadowed by KOF 97-98. Sad but true. I love the game even more than the others.
@carlosaugusto9821 Yes, it's collectors and growing up around the stand-alones that makes it valuable to me. When I see new fg, it's character depth I'm looking for as much as control. It's like competitive puppeteering.
Worth to mention, there was an Athena 3D RPG/survival game called Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life, back to 90s. It will be amazing if they expand the idea to a modern installation.
"Sengoku" is a Series that I was definitely Interested in, I believe this would Perfectly Transcend to a 3-D Hack & Slash Game, it happened with the "Ninja Gaiden" series that was once 2-D and transcended to really well into 3-D, as for Gameplay it should take Ques from the "Devil May Cry" series, What's surprising about "Sengoku" is that it's about Time Travel where Historical Warriors going through Present and Future Timelines, that sounded like it actually predated "Onimusha 3: Demon Siege" a whole Decade earlier, SNK was truly ahead of its Time.
That is an interesting idea but i think it looks too ambitious for SNK and for the scale and relevance of this game, that isn't that big. Honestly i doubt SNK can make something technically comparable to NG, not to mention like DMC. But supposing they have that hidden potential, that kind of project scale is probably fitting only important franchises. A Sengoku 2d beat em up can totally work again because the genre is still popular.
The Last Blade should come back also but not just that they should be a team guest in KOF XV and maybe City of the Wolves as that IP are always left out.
I feel like Ikari Warriors and Shock Troopers should just merge especially since the latter is far superior even if it's lesser known. But a new Metal Slug must come first. I would also kill for a new Athena game.
- Super Sidekicks for the eSports scene! - A third person shooter Metal Slug would be awesome! - World Heroes is an intriguing game. It would be awesome to bons out as an anime before. - Ninja Masters would be a kick-ass modern game. - Sengoku would be awesome, too!
That idea for MSlug is surely controversial, because of that old 3d game. It's probably a good idea to stick to 2d to play safe. SNK can't afford to ruin the reputation of MSlug in this current state of their restructuring.
Good choices Nabil. I want the following 1. Redo Street Smart and tie in into AOF/Fatal Fury as episode 0 2. Redo Nam 75, POW, Mechanized Attack, Chopper 1 and have the main characters be the Ikari Warriors.
1. Ninja Masters 2. Sengoku 3. Beast Busters Don’t agree with “modernizing” these games with RPG/survival horror elements. Just keep them pure arcade games. With an updated look. Trying to “update” these games with big budgets while straying away from the arcade roots and core audience is recipe for financial loss. Especially in today’s market. Great video, I’m hype for classic SNK game revivals!
First off i must say LB is a game i absolutely adore and find the biggest technical achievement of the old SNK in every aspect, with an extra high point over it was a brand new franchise starting in the late 90s. But i have serious doubts about reviving it, because of the problem of saturation and cannibalism... the same problem that happened in the 90's, when all these smaller games lost to KOF in public attention. That problem hurt SNK back then, and if it happens again it would probably hurt even more because of the scale and stakes of modern console game production. So this is about a potential "failure" that would only slow down the investment that is needed to update KOF and FF (truly the only games with competitive potential) to the technical standards of the rest of the fg genre, that is SNK's biggest weak point by far. It really hurts to see LB buried, but this is about priorities. Even a very good looking new LB wouldnt be a competitive product in the current market anyways.
Here my suggestions: 1. Ikari Warriors plays like Gears 2: Psyco soldier in Persona style JRPG 3: Sengoku plays like Nier (or Onimusha) Of course, after SNK releases CotW and AoF, they will make KOF XVI, but after that, they definitely should make a Last Blade remake as the next main big fighting game! And one more thing, we need Metal Slug 8 with HD Pixels!
If Metal Slug 8 ever happens, I hope it has a revamped graphics style. Don't get me wrong, I love the old sprites, but after 7 Metal Slug games that all look the same, I think it would be a good idea to change the graphics. Either go with HD 2D sprites, or a cel shaded 3D style, either way I want a new look for Metal Slug.
MSlug would probably get a negative reaction if it continues recycling the same sprites, because it's been so long since the last mainline release and that "milking" franchise management model is too outdated right now. So the game totally deserve new graphics. I think 3d graphics can work with the right cell shading art direction, and the right cartoony animations is also important.
Metal slug definitely! They need to stop with the mobile games and make a real metal slug game. I’d love to see world heroes again. And as far as ninja masters I’d say just bring some of those characters to The Last Blade, it’s basically the same game and era
Nice to see some love to Alpha Denshi/ADK's games in this video 🥲😄 Other games I would like to see being revive is a new Aggressors of Dark Kombat and Twinkle Star Sprites Aggressors of Dark Kombat's gameplay was a mix of fighting, wrestling and beat em up I imagine Kisarah, Joe, Bobby, Go fighitng NPCs in the streets like a beat em up, plus with Fuuma and Ryoko from World Heroes as guests Fuuma was playable in Aggressors of Dark Kombat after all and it is canon that Ryoko and Kisarah are friends Twinkle Star Sprites is ADK's masterpiece A competitive vertically scrolling shooter arcade game that is still being played to this day! There was a sequel but it was only for the PS2 and is Japan exclusive... Would be nice to see a new Twinkle Star Sprites, the original took influence from the boom of the magical girl in the 90s (especially Sailor Moon), the sequel could take inspiration from the Precure series
Magician Lord is one of my all time favorite arcade games ever. SNK should definitely bring it back but also finish Magician Lord 2. The sequel was unfinished and set to release on Neo Geo Pocket.
I'm shocked SNK hasn't done much with Athena outside KOF and crossovers (CVS, Senran Kagura, etc.) since she's very popular. You'd think they'd pull a Super Mario and do various game genres with the Idol!
KOF revitalized her image wonderfully and made her one SNK's big poster girls, it's very strange that the company didn't invest on her. But that must be explained by their unbalanced fixation to fgs, that is an attitude that should have been abandoned especially in the 00s (i mean there was MSlug games, but nothing else). But then SNK since the 90s could have just looked at Capcom and seen the example to be followed in terms of their versatile library. Like, Capcom never depended on fgs in first place, but after some point they clearly gave the fg genre much less attention, which was just logical business for the time. In my opinion there was a golden opportunity to invest on fresh non fgs in the boom of handhelds in the 00s... Gba, Psp, Ds, etc. Solid releases at that time could have built a franchise with decent visibility. But SNK was only about fgs except MSlug.
I've been hoping for Last Blade 3 for 20 years. LB2 was one of the Neo Geo's best games! A new Magician Lord as a soulslike game could be interesting too, as long as at least one character says things like "You are very dangerous. Be dead down here!"
I think the Fatal Fury movie villains are 5050 SNK/Obari ownership maybe. I say this because Shinkiro did do artwork for the movie back in 1994. It's in the SNK illustrations book with Kyo KOF 96 on the cover. It's in the Garou Densetsu/Fatal Fury section. It would be cool to see these characters make a comeback.
I really want Art Of Fighting 4, I know canonically it took place before Fatal Fury but I want this game took place around Garou & Buriki One. The game should focus on Ryo's journey becoming Mr Karate.
I got a feeling that the upcoming AOF will have Buriki One references regardless of the story. That would be a good idea because i don't think it will work to invest on that game right now. Like, TK is the biggest 3d fg and it beat (in success) even solid 3d rivals like VF.
In my opinion: -I think the Ikari Warriors games should continue as the Metal Slug series. -Buriki One should be mixed with Art of Fighting 4, with all and unique mechanics. -I think a revival for Savage Reign and Neo Geo Battle Coliseum could be great too. The first one because it is set in the Art of Fighting and Fatal Fury universe as well, and it could give a clear story about how things went on South Town from Fatal Fury City of the Wolves to the Savage Reign series.
I would like an action RPG DarkSouls like with princess Athena as protagonist, pretty sure SNK can do something that is close to Nier Automata and Stellar Blade, you know what I mean, but using princess Athena who canonically is a different Athena from the one of KOF. I remember a manga where Iori traveled to another world after defeating Orichi and he encounter many KOF characters but playing other roles in that another world, I think it would be a nice detail if SNK dare to do an RPG game, they can use their already existence characters to play different roles and do kameos in other games made by SNK, I hope see that one day. Well, the future will say, I just want to see Athena in her own game.
Are you really pretty sure SNK can make a rival to the likes of Souls, Nier, etc? Wow, i must say that's some faith on them. I like the company but not to that level. SNK can barely match the technical standards of the industry with their latest games, in their dedicated genre. I also want the return of those abandoned franchises but i have much more modest expectations about their style and looks.
I know snk doesn’t own fighters history but if they could find a way to get the ip or make a new game since they were able to get mizoguchi in the maximum impact series.
Magician Lord is one of the hardest games on the NEO GEO.. At least the music is AMAZING! The best thing about the game 🎵 Would love to see Ninja Master's characters in Samurai Shodown. Natsume, Karasu, Kasumi are my favorite characters Here is a fun fact. The original idea was for Ninja Master's to be a spin off of World Heroes, with an old Hanzo Hattori as the main protagonist. If we get a new World Heroes, would love to see a character based on Cleopatra. Also seeing some Aggressors of Dark Kombat as guest, like Kisarah for example After all, Fuuma was a guest in AoDK
Beast Busters as SNK's Resident Evil is a great idea. But I am secretly hoping someone at SNK's headquarters take a look at the juggernaut that is Capcom's Monster Hunter and decides take a swing in this genre. So far, only Bandai Namco (God Eater) and Koei Tecmo (Toukiden and Wild Hearts) have attempted forays into action hunting genre. Seeing that SNK has a natural knack to be "Capcom's rival" I would like to see what they would create in this space.
SNK needs to bring back their super old IPs back: - POW: Prisoners Of War - Vanguard The first game to have aim independent of direction was Front Line (1982) by Taito, not Ikari Warriors. The game used a joystick and separate directional knob. One thing you could do was play the game forever because there wasn't a timer. You could jump into a tank and camp killing enemies that came on screen. In fact this game is also in a way a precursor of Metal Slug, too.
They could def do a SNK allstars online beat em up, a Athena Mario style game, and another Neo Geo battle coliseum game but making another World heroes, Art of fighting, Last Blade or Buruki game is reaching a bit deep into the nostalgia pocket. Lets see how Fatal Fury sells before making another fighting game apart from another SS or KOF.
I agree we need gowcaizer, metal slug, samurai shodown, Top Hunter Roddy & Cathy, sengoku, world heroes, Robo Army, shock troopers, Buriki one and more neo geo ips to have new games
I would love to see a new King of the Monsters game in the future. This what could've been SNK's answer to Giga Bash since that series now added fighters from Godzilla and Ultraman. KotM 3 would counter this with their own guest monsters like those from Capcom like Hauzer from Red Earth or Rathalos from Monster Hunter. That would've be awesome.
I'd like Prehistoric Isle brought back, but as a survival horror game considering the dinosaurs being mostly dominant in the series. Another SNK IP I'd like to see a revival of is the Pulstar series. Rather than going for the R-Type clones of the previous games, SNK and some other FPS developer like id Software or Infinity Ward can develop a AAA-budget FPS that innovates on the FPS gameplay and sells big numbers.
I'm not sure if I would rather have a new Last Blade, or maybe a Samurai Shodown Vs Last Blade. The latter would mean a wider roster, so I would almost rather have that, but then Last Blade will never get a true sequel, so I dunno. Ikari Warriors as a Gaiden game would be pretty cool, or something kinda like Space Marine, that has a blend of melee and shooting combat. I don't feel the souls formula really fits it though, and the original games aren't really stealth games so that feels like a bit of a stretch. I think something like Metal Gear Rising (which does have stealth as an option in parts), but with a bit more shooting, almost like a DMC game but with ammo restraints, would be ideal.
Psycho Soldier I think should be revived as an RPG. Ikari Warriors, as much as I hate to say this, could probably be revived as a.... ugh, first person shooter [hurl!]
To me IW can work as a top down shooter, these retro shooter genres still hold up. Now PS would have to be modernized and totally reworked because the old game is obsolete.
Here is easy money: do a dating sim like the ones on the Nintendo DS. It could have everything: waifus, nice art, and chill vibes. SNK should do stuff like Metal slug tactics: do weird and outlandish stuff. That is the true 90s arcade spirit
To me there's no right situation to invest on Buriki One right now. SNK lacks skills in 3d fgs... they always failed to match the standards of the mainstream games in every generation. And the game isn't notable enough to deserve such a risky project anyway. So i think the best solution for the game is to be referenced in either KOF, FF or AOF.
I don't have a good opinion about the idea of fg remakes. That looks less justified than games of other genres. But what any modern fg could do is a more fleshed out story that retells the events of an early game.
You miss one. CRYSTALIS the action RPG ZeldaClone tatwas release on the NES, than later on the Game Boy Color. It was a damn very very good Zelda clone game! A game with hyper special moves. Take Zelda, now add in a meter that does super moves an other abilities with that Super Move meter. And you hae Crystalis. Why is it thatg I'm the only one that knows what is Crystalis?!!! It was avery successful action, RPG, Adventure back than.
The problem with WH and NM the way i see it, is that they are small games that didn't do great even in the golden age of the 90's and belong to the obscure realm nowadays. I have nothing against either but they have really slim chances in the current competitive fg market that is more centered in SF and TK, since even KOF is not performing very well against those giants. To me one more practical solution to revive the game would be exploring it in a different genre, where it has an actual chance of getting attention. Like maybe a 2d or 3d beat em up game. These genres are massive and full of games, on the other hand the WH roster is charismatic enough to be able to stand out. Compared to the average games in the genre, WH has an advantage in creativity. PS: I actually forgot... add WH to KOF already. A permanent place in constant rotation in every new sequel.
Since a long time i want to see a revival of Ikari Warriors and Psycho Soldiers and i strongly believe SNK lost a bunch of good opportunities to help them, like in the boom of handhelds the 00s or in the boom of retro style games, etc. There is solid potential in both franchises because "retro" was revitalized and the characters are very charismatic thanks to the brillant job of the KOF devs of reinventing them, and i think even a total outsider to KOF can like them. About gameplay design i think IW is fine being a top down shooter and it just needs to be upgraded to modern standards... like enhance the personality of each character used, and narrative content, dialogues, maybe personal events and endings, etc. Now PS, the old game is too archaic to work nowadays... and i never made up my mind about a good idea of new gameplay. Maybe a 2d or 3d beat em up is fine with some rpg elements, and narrative content that enhances the personality of each character and their group interaction through the story.
I want Ips revival Alpha Mission Andro Dunos 2020 Superbaseball Burning Fight Ikari Warriors Sengoku series Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer Super Sidekicks (soccer) Psycho Soldiers and Athena Fatal fury revival Metal Slug World Heroes Savage Reigns Mutation Nations Magician Lords King of the Monsters Last Blade revival Ninja Masters Buriki One And other SNK ips games.
SNK has so much IP. It needs to consolidate a lot of its brands. Blend Ninja Masters into Sam Sho or Last Blade (depending on time period). Add modern day ADK characters into KOF. Make non-fighting games for a lot of these properties so you don't directly compete with yourself and bring in new markets and customer bases. The Future is Now!
The truth is that SNK overall was more artistically talented than the early 90's Capcom, like in characters, music, narrative, lore, etc. The difference is that Capcom was always ahead in gameplay, and had SF and MM on their side, and multiple 3rd party license contracts, like that era of Disney games, Marvel games, etc. But SNK actually created more original franchises with solid artistic quality. They just lacked financial and technology resources, and business vision, probably their biggest weak point. So a lot of bad decisions happened over the 90s, including focusing totally in arcade fgs (except MSlug) in a time the genre was already deteriorating. Like, all those old non fg franchises deserved to be around, and more non fgs had no be created to sustain the company and fund the investment on more fgs.
of all the 12 aforementioned titles here, i would have had an eighth entry of the metal slug series first in the arcades around the releases of soul calibur 5 and a few other games on the ps3, wii and xbox 360 and home consoles a year later with a similar graphical style to kof 12 and 13. having seen the ending for the psycho soldier team in kof 13 i would have another psycho soldier game with momoko and bao as playable characters alongside kensou and athena and all four of them would have matching superhero costumes with their corresponding colours. this game would come out two or three years after kof 13. a third last blade game should have come out in 2000 in the same year as kof 2000 and metal slug 3; a third king of the monsters game, a fourth sengokou game, and a fourth world heroes game proper should have come out in 2002 in the final years of the neogeo aes. a super sidekicks game 2024 world edition that takes the best countries from the six footballing confederations and regions and is like the world cup, but a less europe centric tournament unlike the real tournament that has more european sides and few sides from the other continents. also there should have been some handheld ports of some of these aforementioned games for neogeo pocket.
What's happening Nabil? SNK was ahead of its time that some of the things we see today in video games, SNK already did that. A SNK Fighting Game Collection would be fiery.
I don't find a good idea to get into genres like horror, fps and sports because their scene is too strongly dominated by veteran established franchises that i can't imagine that SNK has any hope of matching. SNK isn't even having a great competitive performance in their dedicated genre that is fg. It's very different from talking about MSlug, that was a big and influential franchise since the beginning, so investing in that 2d shooter genre again is a good idea. The franchise is still perfectly competitive. Also i'm not too sure but i believe a new IW or PS would have solid good chances because KOF made those characters charismatic and popular, and even a total outsider to KOF will probably feel easily connected to them. These are all more promising ideas than getting into sports, horror, etc.
I’d love a Last Blade remake, but I don’t know how well it would be received in today’s market. So many modern staples were inspired by Last Blade’s system (Guilty Gear and BlazBlue come to mind) that Last Blade’s gameplay would feel slow, clunky and basic by comparison. As much as we long for the old classics, I feel like when we actually get them back we find ourselves disappointed at how they no longer feel as revolutionary as they once did.
I'm not worried about the gameplay feeling slow. To me it's more about graphics. That's the biggest weak point of SNK. The general public is less forgiving about SNK graphics than the own SNK community. Well, even inside the fgc people are not very forgiving, which can be seen in KOF 15's modest playerbase and low Evo entries. The old LB looked impressive at that time (well, still looks good) but a modern LB would probably not look impressive since we are used to higher standards in the rest of the industry. Like, FF COTW looks very good, but it's still behind the others. I like SNK but i'm never going to deny that they still lack in technology, considering the current ps5 standards. So if a possible modern LB can't count on excellent graphics, working on a new game will be a risky project. It's different from a new FF because it's a much popular franchise (it has Terry and Mai just to begin with). For the average fg player who isn't an old schooler, LB is already an obscure game.
*The Last Blade* - The company struggles keeping one feudal Japan fighting game alive, let alone two. The best choice is the one they already made: integrate the gameplay features and characters into Samurai Shodown. *NO* *Ninja Masters* - Ditto. *NO* *Sengoku* - Ditto. Also, scrolling beat 'em ups are a dead genre. *NO* *World Heroes* - This isn't the early '90s. They shouldn't oversature the market with games that are clones of their own main sellers. World Heroes is a less successful duplicate of both King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown, and those are staggering. *NO* *Buriki One* - Well, this is embarassing. You know that "super original gameplay that's so original"? Yeah, it's the one they use in the official UFC games. And Buriki One's setting is basically UFC without the commercial rights, anyway. Like so many others, Silber and Gai Tendo have been used as King of Fighters characters, and that's the only way they should ever return. *NO* *Super Sidekicks* - Dead genre. Football fans want to see official, real football. Even the Captain Tsubasa game failed, despite the massive popularity of the manga/anime. Also, that's a losing name. Nowadays, it would be looked at with ridicule. *NO* *Athena* - Let dead genres rest. The only people who care about Athena Asamiya and Sie Kensou are satisfied with having them in King of Fighters. *NO* *Magician Lord* - If the best idea is to compete with the Dark Souls series games with a version of those that is by design more limited, and by a company with smaller resources and less experience in the field, it's a losing idea to start. Furthermore, the lore is not so deep that it can hold the game by its own. *NO* *Ikari Warriors* - Remember how we said the fighting game market is oversaturated? Well, the realist war games genre market is MUCH more saturated than that. They wouldn't stand a chance. *NO* *Beast Busters* - A lot depends on the how it's realized. Yes, Silent Hill and Resident Evil are big, but there is room in the genre for another horror franchise, provided that is different enough. Then again, this is possibly the least popular title in the list. *MAYBE* *Metal Slug* - Well, duh! It's an obvious win. Not making another Metal Slug means not liking making money. *HELL YES!*
Reviving IW doesn't mean exactly turning it into a modern fps or tps... it could be a retro style top down shooter, not exactly like the original but similar. With the right ideas of gameplay and presentation that enhances each character's personality, it could stand out. Because not all those small games can have a similar charismatic group of characters.
Much as I would love a New World Heroes, I’d prefer to wait until the fighting game genre has moved past all the combo extending nonsense that’s become the norm before green lighting a new game.
Something like Buriki One in these times can do wonders.. with DoA gone and SEGA milkiing VF 5 to the eternity we really need a new non Tekken 3D Fighting game At for others SNK ips they really need to leave the concept of "arcade" genre behind, the Samsho RPG and that RPG mode in Fatal Fury were a good sign I loved Crystalis at NES i hope they tried something like that again
I like the idea of rivaling TK and enriching the 3d fg market of course, but the only problem is that SNK needed to have the talent to make a true TK rival. The fact that VF lost to TK in popularity means the SNK 3d fg, in order to be a true rival, would need to be at least comparable to VF. But at least so far, SNK has not shown talent for the market, all their 3d fg attempts failed to match the standards of TK and VF in the 90s and 00s (and after that point they gave up). Without a promising product that rivals TK, the result will only reinforce TK's dominator status and fill the ego of the makers and the fanboys. Similar to that wave of cheap Smash imitators that only served to reinforce Smash.
There is nothing wrong with the latest SS except the original netcode. But the game is from before rollback was normalized so it's "fine" in the sense that the game delivered the netcode that was expected at the time. About KOF, if you mean by "similar to 13" that the sprites return, then that's surely impossible. Absolutely unreal, and even Capcom and Arc Systems abandoned sprites.
I want the Revival of World Heroes, Ninja Master, and The Last Blade to deserve a new sequel to this game.
A sequel to Magician Lord was developed for the Neo Geo Pocket Color but it sadly never got released.
Truly, Last Blade, is a brilliant and entriguing. KOF as well.
Since the beat em up genre is popular now, I would love to see Burning Fight and Robo Army make a comeback.
Worth to mention, there was an Athena 3D RPG/survival game called Athena: Awakening from the Ordinary Life, back to 90s. It will be amazing if they expand the idea to a modern installation.
It had a tie on live action series. I watched at least half the series
Last blade 3 would be awesome
Alpha Mission, Prehistoric Isle, Shock Troopers, King of the Monsters, Twinkle Star Sprites.
Great call on Twinkle Star sprites!
"Sengoku" is a Series that I was definitely Interested in, I believe this would Perfectly Transcend to a 3-D Hack & Slash Game, it happened with the "Ninja Gaiden" series that was once 2-D and transcended to really well into 3-D, as for Gameplay it should take Ques from the "Devil May Cry" series,

All of them. All of them deserve to come back.
To me, World Heroes is a fighting game with pop culture references LOL
I’d love to see that make a comeback
Don't forget Shock Troopers revival and Art of Fighting 4
shock trooper is on steam though
Shock Troopers is not their IP, it was just released on their system
Honorable Mention:
Neo Turf Masters
League Bowling
2:53 I like how you pause for laugher at the absurdity of a Dr. Brown creating a time machine to make this all happen. Very original ADK
I feel like Ikari Warriors and Shock Troopers should just merge especially since the latter is far superior even if it's lesser known. But a new Metal Slug must come first. I would also kill for a new Athena game.

Metal Slug 3D was a thing and people hated it for no reason.
That idea for MSlug is surely controversial, because of that old 3d game. It's probably a good idea to stick to 2d to play safe. SNK can't afford to ruin the reputation of MSlug in this current state of their restructuring.

Great video, I’m hype for classic SNK game revivals!
City of the Wolves should add a Younger version of Chung to make Savage Reign Canon.
That is a great idea!

A new Athena game with the Psycho Soldier theme from Smash Bros Ultimate would be cool
Here my suggestions:
1. Ikari Warriors plays like Gears
2: Psyco soldier in Persona style JRPG
3: Sengoku plays like Nier (or Onimusha)
Of course, after SNK releases CotW and AoF, they will make KOF XVI, but after that, they definitely should make a Last Blade remake as the next main big fighting game!

Nice to see some love to Alpha Denshi/ADK's games in this video 🥲😄
Other games I would like to see being revive is a new Aggressors of Dark Kombat and Twinkle Star Sprites
Aggressors of Dark Kombat's gameplay was a mix of fighting, wrestling and beat em up
I imagine Kisarah, Joe, Bobby, Go fighitng NPCs in the streets like a beat em up, plus with Fuuma and Ryoko from World Heroes as guests
Fuuma was playable in Aggressors of Dark Kombat after all and it is canon that Ryoko and Kisarah are friends
Twinkle Star Sprites is ADK's masterpiece
A competitive vertically scrolling shooter arcade game that is still being played to this day!
There was a sequel but it was only for the PS2 and is Japan exclusive...
Would be nice to see a new Twinkle Star Sprites, the original took influence from the boom of the magical girl in the 90s (especially Sailor Moon), the sequel could take inspiration from the Precure series
I see Magician Lord, I click
I think Last Blade, World Heroes, other genre series and KOF MI Series need to revival in current graphics
Bring back Neo Turf Masters!
Yes, it would be great for any of them to comeback, especially Last Blade.
I've been hoping for Last Blade 3 for 20 years. LB2 was one of the Neo Geo's best games! A new Magician Lord as a soulslike game could be interesting too, as long as at least one character says things like "You are very dangerous. Be dead down here!"
Last Blade 2, in my opinion, quite simply has the greatest sprite art out of any game ever of all fucking time.
Savage reign kizuna encounter. King lion comeback
Yeah that one doesn't deserve to stay buried
@carlosaugusto9821 that 2 lane system from Savage Reign was killer ;)
I just want mature and vice trailer , Jesus its been forever
In my opinion:
-I think the Ikari Warriors games should continue as the Metal Slug series.
City of the Wolves should have a Younger Version of that Old Man to make Savage Reign Canon.
@conradojavier7547 agreed
Another Art of fighting game
That's already being made right now, just not announced yet
Last Blade 2 is the best fighting game SNK has ever made
Magician Lord is one of the hardest games on the NEO GEO..
At least the music is AMAZING!
The best thing about the game 🎵
Would love to see Ninja Master's characters in Samurai Shodown.
Natsume, Karasu, Kasumi are my favorite characters
Here is a fun fact.
The original idea was for Ninja Master's to be a spin off of World Heroes, with an old Hanzo Hattori as the main protagonist.
If we get a new World Heroes, would love to see a character based on Cleopatra.
Also seeing some Aggressors of Dark Kombat as guest, like Kisarah for example
After all, Fuuma was a guest in AoDK
Beast Busters as SNK's Resident Evil is a great idea. But I am secretly hoping someone at SNK's headquarters take a look at the juggernaut that is Capcom's Monster Hunter and decides take a swing in this genre.
So far, only Bandai Namco (God Eater) and Koei Tecmo (Toukiden and Wild Hearts) have attempted forays into action hunting genre. Seeing that SNK has a natural knack to be "Capcom's rival" I would like to see what they would create in this space.
I want the fighting/ccg game from the handhelds back :(
SNK needs to bring back their super old IPs back:
- POW: Prisoners Of War
- Vanguard
The first game to have aim independent of direction was Front Line (1982) by Taito, not Ikari Warriors.
XII is iconic too
"This story has not yet ended"
Don't forget Voltage fighter Gowcaizer 2 and Last Blade 3 with new.
I'd like Prehistoric Isle brought back, but as a survival horror game considering the dinosaurs being mostly dominant in the series. Another SNK IP I'd like to see a revival of is the Pulstar series. Rather than going for the R-Type clones of the previous games, SNK and some other FPS developer like id Software or Infinity Ward can develop a AAA-budget FPS that innovates on the FPS gameplay and sells big numbers.
btw all the best to new year 2025. Is SNK doing some new games recently? and for PC maybe?
Top Hunter needs to come back.
Nam 75 2 please. Preferably with a more fleshed out ending.
Yess I need it 😭
Shock Troopers 2nd squad
Nightmare in The Dark
Aero Fighters
Capcom vs SNK
Holy shit I forgot Neo Turf Masters!! Add new music, and make the art even more exaggerated and it will sell
Buriki One needs a comeback. Or at least a team in KOF XVI
I want a kof striker collection... 99 2k 2k1
You know Shock troopers is basically a newer better version of Ikari warriors? Both 1 and 2 are great games.
Baseball stars needs a return
Just me but they can maybe make metal slug like cup head where it has many bosses
I hope to see a new remake of the original “Fatal Fury 1”.
Beast Busters is similar Resident evil, Silent Hill and Time Crisis clone
Nice choices but sadly it's unlikely to ever happen.
Super Baseball 2020
I want Ips revival
Alpha Mission
Andro Dunos
2020 Superbaseball
Burning Fight
Ikari Warriors
Sengoku series
Voltage Fighter Gowcaizer
Super Sidekicks (soccer)
Psycho Soldiers and Athena
Fatal fury revival
Metal Slug
World Heroes
Savage Reigns
Mutation Nations
Magician Lords
King of the Monsters
Last Blade revival
Ninja Masters
Buriki One
And other SNK ips games.
Snk what ya waiting for?
T.O.P. HUNTER CHARACHTERS IN KOF XV
Just bring out last blade 1and2 with online play like kof 2002
Last Blade 2 already has online and is on modern consoles.
*The Last Blade* - The company struggles keeping one feudal Japan fighting game alive, let alone two. The best choice is the one they already made: integrate the gameplay features and characters into Samurai Shodown.
*NO*
*Ninja Masters* - Ditto.
*NO*
*Sengoku* - Ditto. Also, scrolling beat 'em ups are a dead genre.
*NO*
*World Heroes* - This isn't the early '90s. They shouldn't oversature the market with games that are clones of their own main sellers. World Heroes is a less successful duplicate of both King of Fighters and Samurai Shodown, and those are staggering.
*NO*
*Buriki One* - Well, this is embarassing.
*NO*
*Super Sidekicks* - Dead genre. Football fans want to see official, real football. Even the Captain Tsubasa game failed, despite the massive popularity of the manga/anime. Also, that's a losing name. Nowadays, it would be looked at with ridicule.
*NO*
*Athena* - Let dead genres rest. The only people who care about Athena Asamiya and Sie Kensou are satisfied with having them in King of Fighters.
*NO*
*Magician Lord* - If the best idea is to compete with the Dark Souls series games with a version of those that is by design more limited, and by a company with smaller resources and less experience in the field, it's a losing idea to start. Furthermore, the lore is not so deep that it can hold the game by its own.
*NO*
*Ikari Warriors* - Remember how we said the fighting game market is oversaturated? Well, the realist war games genre market is MUCH more saturated than that. They wouldn't stand a chance.
*NO*
*Beast Busters* - A lot depends on the how it's realized. Yes, Silent Hill and Resident Evil are big, but there is room in the genre for another horror franchise, provided that is different enough. Then again, this is possibly the least popular title in the list.
*MAYBE*
*Metal Slug* - Well, duh!
Because not all those small games can have a similar charismatic group of characters.
they will be revived
..
..
on mobile phones
Much as I would love a New World Heroes, I’d prefer to wait until the fighting game genre has moved past all the combo extending nonsense that’s become the norm before green lighting a new game.
Personally i don't see that as a temporary trend. Looking how even SF became slowly more into combos.
Seeing what happened to The Last Blade 2 is like seeing what Under Night In-Birth 2 is having now
World Heroes was never good.
I disagree! World heroes 2 jet and perfect were great. I also love the gameboy port so much!
Something like Buriki One in these times can do wonders.. with DoA gone and SEGA milkiing VF 5 to the eternity we really need a new non Tekken 3D Fighting game
At for others SNK ips they really need to leave the concept of "arcade" genre behind, the Samsho RPG and that RPG mode in Fatal Fury were a good sign
I loved Crystalis at NES i hope they tried something like that again
SNK almost dead , what they need is a real good samurai showdown game and kof similar to Xiii and Metal slug , other games no need
Yeah because Playmore did the same thing and ended soooo well
There is nothing wrong with the latest SS except the original netcode.
