- Hello everyone! With the clamor over the new event campaign and the option to earn 1,000 lobi from it (and get a lobi starship effectively), it's time for me to go over what I feel are the best options from the lobi store.
I just moved to a new apartment over the past week, so thanks for all the patience in this video coming out! As mentioned on Facebook, I should have a video regularly coming out each Monday going forward if all things go well.

Yes, the new Ba'ul Antiproton lobi set is super strong for antiproton builds -- basically on-par with what altamid plasma does for plasma builds. sto.gamepedia.com/Linked_Sentry

Finally got my 1000 lobi today and watching again before making a decision.
I'm going to have to get the Iktomi for the improved photonic officer as I want to move away from the aux to batt meta for my cool downs.

Definitely I'm going to get the Vengeance for my oldest toon (Regular Fed). I don't mind seeing many of them in-game since I'm more of a PvE kind of player in online games. I just hope they won't remove it once I get 1000 Lobi Crystals.
Thanks and good to see you back. I was just thinking about this today, checking the Lobi ships and deciding which option I'll be going for. My main is a Rommie engineer so I think I'll be just get one of the Andorian ships for the grav well trait and 200 Lobi for a tachyokinetic converter. No matter what ships I get I always go back to my T6 fleet Ar'Kif.
Might want to future proof a bit and get the rom version of the grav well ship so there's no faction lockout on the trait for other characters.

Congratulations upon the new occupation, hope it does well for you! I'm still probably going to go for the C-Store coupon since I value the account-wide unlock more than a only per character Lobi ship &/or item(s). I usually don't even look at the Lobi store anymore just to avoid envy & annoyance. I do like Cryptic offering a choice for players though though. So you favor the Shamshir over the Khopesh? Another good video with analysis & breakdown.

I won a Vengeance on one of my toons from a Fleet raffle the first year it was out, it's definitely an all-arounder ship that's fun to fly. I fell in love with the edison temporal warship as well because I'm mainly a FED toon, so I use it for the most part on STFs/TFOs/Instances as a quick killer ship while I daily drive the Vengeance on every story missions I like to replay - though the Vengeance is no slouch itself in instances and I've never died in it unless I was too cocky. As much as I love some of the Rom ships for their amazing visual aethetics, the hit to their power levels make absolutely ZERO sense since most of their ships supposedly have SINGULARITY cores that allegedly provide near-limitless power resources - but are massively crippled when it comes to STO. Naturally, engineers can get around this in the game - but it being power-hungry makes me give them a hard pass 90% of the time.
When it comes down to it. There are the 4 main good ones. The Vengeance, NX Escort Refit, T6 Walker, and the Vaadwaur Battlecruiser
This NX-Refit with the correct build is the best cannon Escort in the game. Vengeance is the best beam boat in the game and can be very effective with a cannon build as well.

as for audio...you sound like you are whispering into the mike and it keep cutting in and out. it was somewhat clear...and there was quite a bit a had to stop and relisten to what you were saying. i could make out what you were saying however i had to make it out...it was not all too clear IMO...but otherwise great job and TY for the breakdown and your thorough reviews.
Lobi ships are great for a unique look on character but I usually go for c store for account unlock even though I have several lobi ships. The audio had some feedback/background interference every time you spoke sounded like someone dragging metal up a street from a distance usually your quite clear hope thats helpful.
what is EPG build and SP-1 builds?
So before watching the video im thinking its likely the Vengeance but will i still think that after?
How do folks compare the Vengeance vs the Gargarin?
The primary question I have is single character unlock versus account unlock. Lori ships are character unlock, while the other is an account unlock usually
Also, I play primarily on console so will they g back to a Phoenix account unlock versus a Lobi unlock
Also not related to this video but what is your impression on the chyrstalline torpedo with an anti-proton build?
It's an antiproton energy torpedo, so there is nothing wrong with adding it to an antiproton build (as it scales off of AP consoles to enhance its dps output). Avoid adding the AP matter-conversion DHC/beam array and your build should be fine.
I personally feel the dark matter torpedo (with the 2-piece with the lorca tac console) is probably the best-in-slot torpedo right now for non-phaser/disruptor builds wanting just one torpedo -- as that 2-piece stacking up to +30% CritD from crits is just nice to have.

the Legendary Glenn is a bad joke... its EXACTLY like the Sci Spearhead from lockbox but with 0.05 hull less and 0.05 shield more, but ONE LESS WEAPON... at least could have given it the experimental weapon from the Terran Version...

Temporal Anchor is perhaps one of the best trait for Sci Gravity Well build.

Um, you say the DPRM comes off the NX escort refit? I think that’s wrong
DBB are meta good PvP right? You use the reputation beam array that gives technical overload with DBB right?
In my mind they should work great there, but check with OmegaFighter to be sure -- he knows the changing PvP meta MUCH BETTER than I do.

Im new to the game, is lobi store ships the best? I like the Kelvin Veng, is it a good ship for newbies?
For newer players, I recommend account-unlocked starships instead (C-Store or earned via events). Starships from the Lobi Store, Lockboxes, Promo packs & Phoenix packs are single-character only starships, meaning you have to buy them again if you want them on more than one character (and you may want a different profession or species later on -- requiring starting a new character).
The Vengeance is good, but the lobi store's starships are currently a bit inflated in pricing as a result of a few promo ships that temporarily were in the lobi store -- making all of the ships there worth more.
Am i being blind or is the Kelvin Vengeance no longer available? I can only see a Kelvin Timeline Intel Dread Cruiser in the store?

Though I feel like this event is gonna make every lobi ship lose quite a bit of their value.. just a sudden surplus of lobi ships on the exchange cuz everyone has one now...
And with the sale happening later on, even more ships on the market... They're not gonna be worth much after the event let alone after the event and a sale, lol.
I have been looking for information about the Durgath dreadnaught ship. There is very little out there, I was fortunate to get one easily but I have no idea how to build it or if it’s even worth an end game ship. Have you done anything about this ship or a build recommendation for it? Thank you in advance for your help.
I haven't, but here are a few thoughts for you to get you started -- other players do have more knowledge than I do:
(1) Any T6 starship is good enough for the endgame in STO. Some ships are objectively better or worse than others, but that shouldn't shy you away from a ship you like or already have.
(2) As for builds, any you search are going to be fairly old for the most part. This ship (along with its FED/RRF counterparts) were released about 3 years ago. In general when a FED & KDF starship are released together, builds will pop up readily for the FED version -- which is where I would suggest you look here. The FED version is called the Universe Temporal Heavy Dreadnought Cruiser -- also known as the Enterprise-J. It was flown more for the memes of its size than for its practicality, so there is that...
(3) I would suggest doing a beam array broadsiding build with your starship. The Durgath has one of the worst turning & inertia in the game, so it will be more difficult than normal to do any other playstyle. If you want to tank on her, use Fire-at-Will; if you want to do a more dps build, Beam Overload is the way to go at this point for PvE content (and Cmdr/TO does wonders for a Beam Overload build). If you go the Overload route, read up on Sizer's thoughts on overload on one of his recent builds -- as Overload has a few unique quirks that regular FAW builds don't experience (a different ship though, so keep that in mind): www.reddit.com/r/stobuilds/comments/d5ovf2/bro_do_you_even_overload_sizers_uss_sovereign_of/
(4) As for consoles for the build itself, start with my budget beam build video -- should get you started. You'll later replace the tac consoles with fleet ones and the Disco-rep's lorca console (maybe also using the torp from the Disco-rep set for the 2-piece CritD), and find out in searching common new builds what the best-in-slot things tend to be -- some depend on the energy type you choose to use.
(5) As for bridge officer seating, probably something like this should get you started (others can help fine-tune it further):
Cmdr Eng/TO -- EptEngines 1, Directed Energy Modulation 1, Reverse Shield Polarity 2, Recursive Shearing 3
[RSP 2 can be replaced with other temporal abilities like Shared Fate 2, Timeline Collapse 1, or Chronometric Inversion Field 2 if you aren't going to tank in this starship]
LtCmdr Uni/CMD (tac) -- Tac Team 1, Rally Point Marker 1, FAW 3 or Beam Overload 3 (depending on playstyle)
Lt Tac -- Torpedo Spread 1 or Kemocite 1 (depends on if using a torp or not), Attack Pattern Beta 1
Lt Eng -- EptWeapons 1, Aux-to-Batt 1
Lt Sci -- Hazard Emitters 1, Photonic Officer 1
Needed duty officers --
3 Technician duty officers that allow you to use Aux-to-Batt for cooldown management (Recharge variant). Very Rare are the ideal, but Rare are much cheaper and mostly do the job you need initially. sto.gamepedia.com/Specialization:_Technician
Emergency Conn Officer -- available from Phoenix Prize Packs at the Rare rarity of prize options, so getting a group of 10 packs from the dilithium store will just about guarantee getting at least one rare to get this officer. @@CounterYoloGaming so would you suggest an engineer or a tac captain? I started with an engineer when I first started playing and set his skills more towards a tac captain. I've enjoyed playing the tank/tac balance for some time. Although I have found my most powerful captain to be full sci. the paradox with full torps and a couple beams on back and all the control tools is quite devastating I've found. Thank you for the resourses, Ill do my homework before I commit. I have enjoyed your channel, thank you please keep doing what you do.

(1) Full budget -- science with sci-torp is quite strong [as you have experienced], and science is the most versatile class in ground. They are essentially the "easy button" for STO and best for alts. Their subnuc ability is still useful for elite space TFO's (like Hive Onslaught), so having one in a lategame team comp is still valuable.
(2) Full meta -- tactical with any space playstyle. DPS scales the best in this game, and tactical does that the best of all the classes.
(3) Full fun -- engineering. They honestly lag behind both tac & sci in space, and only are situationally necessary for some particular elite ground missions (the ground mirror DS9 TFO and the fleet Colony Defense simulation). My main captain is an engineer if you're curious.

+100% dmg should be correct, as that is what it says in-game.
@@jamesearl389 i know :D i got all thet exept nx trait that is what i am missing also replase energy flux with D7 trait box from lobi store it staks infinitly is cat 2 dmg it takes time but after 10 targets is alredy 20% and counting on :D also best ship for that is maqes raded so i am facked i need NX and that rader god help me also i am boosting crit severity to 240 base stat and 45 crit chanse base stat those incres as combat progess :D and dual beam banks with 100% severity on them :D

You disappoint me in not talking about the Kremin warship...your advice for taking the bajorian interceptor was wack btw....the nanidi is the one to get.
Bajoran Interceptor has the best console in the game hands down, good on any ship.
in terms of stats, is the vengeance the best ship in the game?
It is one of the best "well-rounded" ships suitable for many roles/playstyles in the game (up there with the promo T'liss in my mind for versatility). The problem with well-rounded ships is that the meta today prefers ships specifically designed for one role, and the Vengeance isn't the top of any role/playstyle in the game -- so you don't see it as recommended as it used to be.

It depends on what you mean by best. Probably a Vaadwaur Juggernaut for consistent damage, or the Husnock Warship for spike damage with Beam Overload 3 + Recursive Shearing 3. MW Cruisers are great for beam boats in the tanking realm as well. I like the Legendary Sovereign's looks the best of all the strong beam boats out there personally, though the classic Connie's looks would top that chart for most players.

i would like to say something for my clothie brothers.
you people in this game i love but have been away from for years have forgotten a class.
that class being the redmage.
what is a red you ask?
well the red is the jack of all trades and master of none.
a sci ship..is not only a tank and a healer but it is dps as well.
people are just not playing it correctly.
i have no need for heals if the enemy does not see me or know where i am.
i have no need for a tank if the enemy does not see me or know where i am...and my dps causes no emnity.and the enemy cannot shoot me back or move.
i have no need for weapons or crit if my powers and doffs do my damage...unless they do something to make my powers stronger.
i also find it strange that the dps leaderboards are carries.a sci carrying a dps....instead of a guy flying alone...how can you be top dps if you need a sci to elevate your dps,and a tank to shed your emnity?
anyways...just me being me.
