AJ styles versus Gunther is a must see match before AJ retires
Is that a bad thing that old veterans arent on TV all year ? You can't ask for new talents to be pushed and also want ALL the veterans to be on TV too. Old guard becomes part time leaving time for younger ones to be on TV.
In a landscape where LA Knight only has Melo, Andrade and Escobar as plausible challengers for the US title … this particular argument won’t work here
Yeah but veterans/established wrestlers should be there on TV helping get younger talent over. Makes no sense that they wouldn’t use the like of AJ on tv when there is not any other big names to be in contention for title matches. Easily could be put in fueds with Gunther or Cody again or thrown into matches with the mid card titles.
And Shinsky Nakamura could be the biggest name on SmackDown right now

Is there a gas leak? LA Knight and AJ feuded for the first four months of this year. They had a WrestleMania match.
Should send AJ, Nakamura, and the Good Brothers to smaller companies WWE wants to get their hands in overseas. Those four could do great work and WWE can use it for something without having to create their own stories outside of they go out put on great matches and squash the world type tour and than bring them back as rebuilt powerhouses
The man is 47 years old and has more than done enough to have a guarenteed hof spot, i doubt hes hatin on spending time with his family collecting a paycheck. Plus would you still want to put up with the wwe travel schedule at 47?
If anything he should go to nxt and be a coach.
I think this is a case of they do think highly of AJ. However, they don't want to put him on TV in "filler" or "less than" feuds coming out of the just recently re-entering the world title picture and would rather bring him back in a more significant way. However, that upper echelon of the card for the next couple of months is more or less mapped out. Rather than putting him on TV for the sake of putting him on TV, they're keeping him off until they find an opening.
Everyone isn't going to be on tv all year. They cycle some people out to make room for different programs. Doesn't mean they aren't still working.
I have to say, it's refreshing to see a wrestling podcast finally highlight the unused talents in WWE since Triple H took over. For months, all we heard about was how AEW are wasting the likes of Rusev, Keith Lee, and others, when in fact this is something both companies are equally guilty of. Bobby Lashley and the Hurt Business was a solid act, and was visibly and audibly over with the fans. It's a shame that we didn't see that faction continue for whatever reason. Anyway, I'm not a big fan of AEW signing every talent that WWE lets go off, especially those that are a clear surplus to their booking needs, but if AJ Styles ever becomes available then AEW should go for it in a heartbeat.
I'm six minutes in and I just believe that you guys are overthinking it. Styles is 47. Priest, Balor, Punk, Knight, and Orton are all in their early to mid-40s. Reigns, McIntyre, and Cody are 39. He's not exactly pushing a bunch of spring chickens over Styles and Nakamura. Triple H, just like every promoter in history, has his guys and if you're not one of his guys he really has no use for you.
HHH in NXT used to hire every indie darling he could to the point of not having enough airtime for all of them. But NXT was a different beast to the main roster. The audience knew and already loved the performers and didn't need to be reminded every five minutes about the core main event guys' latest beef/angle because you never know when someone might tune in.
Main roster WWE has a set number of regulars at every rung but its pool of performers (in proportion to the airtime) is relatively small compared to what HHH tried to pull during NXT black and gold's heydays.
Legends, then TV, then King of the Mountain, same belt. And wasn't it also the Global Championship at some point?
They should lend him to TNA

I think they do and I’m making a prediction that he returns at the bad blood go home show for smackdown in Georgia where he from. Carmelo does a dq this Friday costing Andrade championship match against la knight sets up a triple threat for that go home smackdown. La knight retains and attacked by a returning aj styles.
I think we are forgetting that this could well be AJ wanting to slow down as opposed to wwe he did say in the smackdown live era with dean that he was gonna retire soon and he’s been trucking along but who knows

Veterans should have another go with the title especially womens like Trish Stratus. That’s what I dont like in the Vince era just because your a veteran you become fodder for young talent. I get it they are old they dont have the strength and stamina like before but they still have that experience.
Aj styles quit and hasn't been seen since makes sense to me.
Send AJ to RAW and have him feud against Punk, Gunther and Drew before he retires or leaves WWE if that’s what he plans to do
Let aj styles cook in tna for rest of this year. Then return at royal rumble 2025.
Could it be he is actually talking time off with his family and when they go to Netflix he will be back closer to the rumble and mania.

Since they're not doing anything with AJ Styles, with his history with the brand in its prime; what about him taking over TNA and leading their roster against WWE?
It would give him a gimmick to run with, only have to wrestle part time while being on TV fairly constantly, and would give the TNA workers an established legend to work off of.
He could manage wrestlers, bring them in to challenge for titles, help build feuds, and occasionally work in main events, even if that doesn't necessarily lead to title wins.
Also, furthering NXT/TNA stories by getting over young up and comers coming out of TNA , helping their credibility. Just an idea, but would love to hear your/peoples thoughts...

For some reason, when Triple H took over creative, AJ was one of those guys Triple H just didn't want to use as much. I have no idea why, I get Trips has "his guys" but AJ is a versatile performer that can really slot in anywhere so it's annoying he's really been so underutilized these past few years

@@ItsYuhBoyyyy being a good wrestler doesn’t guarantee you’ll have a story ready for you. There have been times when Randy Orton didn’t have anything for him. There can only be so many segments in a show, everyone cycles through turns.
My guess is that they’re keeping him off TV for now and then they’ll re-debut him on TNA for a short feud before coming back.
